Twin Soul

Book 3: Chapter 5 (78)

Noe curiously asked. “How do you regenerate mana while leaving your conjured creatures to defend the planet? Wouldn’t your mana pool can’t be regenerated as long as you have a conjured creature still alive?”

“There are two options to recharge my mana pool when inside my planet. The first option would be to banish all of my creatures then allow my mana pool to regenerate naturally. Even when it took hours for my mana pool to fully regenerate, it would be like a blink of an eye outside of my planet. The second option is to drink a Large Mana Potion. I have created a facility run by a group of human alchemists inside my planet that focuses on making Mana Potions. I place powerful magic beasts to guard that facility, preventing it from being destroyed by other unpredictable magical creatures. But due to limited resources, only one Large Mana Potion could be made every hundred thousand years which means every seventy days in real-time, my planet will have one Large Mana Potion in reserve for me to use. The stronger I get, the bigger my planet can become which means the more resources such as rare magical herbs and crafting materials can be granted to my planet in the future.”

Arthur then carefully explained more about how his Creation Magic works. Both Gwenn and Noe repeatedly nodded their heads in amazement after learning more in-depth about Ethereal Soul from Arthur. Despite speaking a lot about Ethereal Soul, Arthur didn't tell them everything about his Creation Magic. Arthur believed it would be stupid to reveal his true power until the right time comes.

Noe said, “Arthur, I know you and Kain were good friends. But he was no longer the Kain Almos you know. He is Kain Bersk, the Supreme Leader of the Dryardian Empire. More importantly, you must remember that he is a Blood Mage. I won’t stop you from visiting Kain after acknowledging how powerful you have become. Hmm... how about if I send my strongest minion to escort you there safely and protect you while you stay in the Dryardian Empire? My minions can't truly die because they can use my mana pool as the source of their life forces to revive themselves as many times as they wanted after being killed by the enemies.”

Arthur shook his head and respectfully declined, “Lord Clerico, I can defend myself. I'm sure you have confidence in me, aren't you?”

“Very well. I won’t stop you anymore. When do you want to start traveling to the Dryardian Empire?”

“Next week. I needed to visit my parents today then visit Adela tomorrow. Adela must have been missing me very much.”

Noe turned to look at Gwenn and gave her the head nod. Knowing what Noe meant, Gwenn truthfully said, “Arthur, I'm sorry to inform you that... Adela Hindergrass..."

"What happened to Adela?" Arthur scarily asked.

"No... she is fine. Adela thought you were dead and was crying every day for ten years. Merely nearly fifty years ago, she fell in love with someone else and is now happily married. Adela already has five children with... her husband.”

Arthur nodded his head in acceptance and calmly said, “I can’t blame Adela for marrying someone else. In that case, I will visit my parents today then travel to the Dryardian Empire tomorrow.”

That wasn’t the expression Noe and Gwenn expected from Arthur. They thought Arthur would be heartbroken after feeling that he saved Adela's life just so she can marry someone else. Noe thought to himself, “Arthur Castillon is matured now. He can be the next person who holds my position as the Lord of the Gray and become the new Protector of the Mages Council after I advance into God-tier.”

After Arthur excused himself and left the Temple of the Mages Council to go visit his parents, Noe also went back to his Throne Room of the Gray to rest. Sitting on his throne, Noe gave the command for the Executioners that were guarding it to leave. After six hours of meditation, Noe opened his eyes and thought to himself, “Watcher Zorim, you have held back my chance of becoming a God-tier for too long already. Now that Arthur can replace me, I’m sure you have no problem letting me become the next God-tier magic caster. After I kill Kain Bersk and convert him into one of my minions, I expect no more delay from your end. Either choose me to be the next God-tier or I will rebel against you and personally destroy all the planets under your control. Watcher Zorim, you have my promise.”

A month later, Arthur Castillon left his home in Bifjorkian Theocracy and flew toward the capital of the Dryardian Empire, Benil city, using a Red Dragon that he created and raised inside his planet. The Red Dragon can breathe fire beams but couldn’t cast any Fire Magic spells as it wasn’t born with an Elemental Soul. Its physical strength reached the tenth-tier warrior which means it was fairly weak since its age was only around a thousand years old (less than a day old in Toria Continents). As a Magical Creature, the Red Dragon can live over two thousand years old even if its physical strength doesn't reach Saint-tier Warrior. After reaching a hundred thousand years old, the Red Dragon will be able to learn and speak the human language. Because of being conjured by Arthur, the Red Dragon's physical strength scaled with Arthur's magical power as well. That means its physical power instantly enhanced its physical strength to be on par with an Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior. Even so, Arthur only treated this Red Dragon as a flying tool, not a conjured creature for battle.

Unlike Noe Clerico, Arthur didn’t fly through the high wall of Benil city but respectfully landed on the ground together with his Red Dragon and requested to meet with Kain Bersk. The Demi-Humans were still hating the human race but afraid Kain would punish them if they showed it out, that was why they treated humans as equals and tried the best they could not attack Arthur after seeing him land on the ground together with the Red Dragon. One of the Demi-Human city guards, a Snake-kin seventh-tier warrior, escorted Arthur toward Kain’s Palace on foot after Arthur agreed to banish the Red Dragon back inside his planet. At Kain's Palace Gate, the Snake-kin city guard asked Arthur to wait outside while he went into the palace to ask for Kain's permission before letting Arthur come in.

After hearing the Snake-kin city guard report that a magic caster named Arthur Castillon wanted to speak to him, Kain gave the Snake-kin city guard one gold coin and told him to escort Arthur into his palace. Receiving a gold coin from Kain, the Snake-kin was so happy and happily escorted Arthur in while smiling nonstop.
