Twin Soul

Book 4: Chapter 20

“Sir Angel Micah, what happened to you?” Gwenn Bigham warmly asked as she continued to carry Micah while flying.

“Someone injured Saint Michael. Because I am his projection, whatever pains he feels, I would feel ten times worse compared to him.” Micah tried the best he could to explain as he was grinning his teeth with the intent to regulate the pain feeling.

Turning her head around to see how many enemies were catching up to them, Gwenn was surprised to see all of Kain’s conjured creatures had stopped flying and showed no intention of chasing toward them. Gwenn started thinking about whether there could be a trick or a trap waiting for them ahead. She immediately cast the [Major Healing] spell on Micah and attempted to heal whatever injury that caused him to fall earlier but her healing spell was immediately dispelled the moment it was cast on Micah.

Sensing Gwenn's confusion, Micah explained, “Any healing magic spells cast on me would be useless because I am just a projection of Saint Michael. While being able to have the wills of my own, I am not a real being.”

“Flumen city is still very far away. I have several Large Mana Potions left but I’m afraid it would not be sufficient to maintain my [Circle of Protection] and [Angelic Avatar] spells active long enough for us to safely get there.” Gwenn said using a concerned voice.

“The pain I'm having right now would go away soon, nothing to be concerned about. It seems like we don’t have any more enemies chasing after us.”

“I’m afraid they have come up with a plan to ambush us from ahead. Sir Angel Micah, should we land on one of the small islands down there to hide waiting for your injury to heal?”

“I have no injuries. As I have said, the pain feeling I told you about earlier will soon disappear. I will never die as long as Saint Michael is alive. Holy Mage Bigham, you don’t have to call me sir. I’m not even a real angel. You can just call me Micah. That name was given to me by Saint Michael.”

“I understand.” Gwenn softly answered.

Back to Linkeep Island. Both of Lucas’s swords were deeply stuck into the back of Saint Michael. Lucas didn’t stop there as he continued to push harder hoping to fully penetrate through Michael’s body. Gaining back his focus, Michael smirked, vanished, and reappeared behind Lucas in an instant while still having both Lucas’s swords deeply struck into his back.

While Lucas still didn’t know what had just happened, Michael grabbed Lucas’s head from behind using his right hand and started flying downward at insane speed from three hundred feet above the ground. Michael then slammed Lucas’s face down into the ground hard enough to cause a mini earthquake in the area that lasted for about two seconds. After Michael’s right hand let go of Lucas’s head, there was nothing but blood as Lucas’s head along with his body was completely destroyed.

Michael stood up straight as he flexed his muscles and pushed out Lucas’s swords from his back. Michael then turned his head toward Noe Clerico who was still defending against the [Phantom Swords] ability and asked, "What is the name of that dude who stabbed me?"

Noe calmly answered, "His name is Lucas. He is the one and only Summoner Warrior in the lower realms."

"He is the only Summoner Warrior in the lower realms huh. No wonder why I have never encountered such a uniquely strong being. At least you have a useful minion. Noe Clerico, I like that Lucas guy very much. Revive him quickly so I can play again.” Finished saying that, the wounds on Michael’s back slowly healed by themselves without the need of using any healing magic spell.

Right after Lucas revived himself using the active [Reanimate] spell connected to Noe’s mana pool, Noe smiled at Michael and said, “Michael, not only do you have great offensive abilities, but you also have a self-healing ability. Nice... very nice. I can’t wait to convert you into one of my precious minions.”

While Michael was showing signs of aggression and Noe was playing defensive in their battle, the fight between Noe Clerico and Saint Michael carried on with no clear of who was having the advantage. On the other side of the island, Anwyn Richir was having a clear advantage against Archangel Seraphiel. Despite being named the strongest Archangel, Seraphiel was obviously showing signs of being weaker compared to the Devil Overlord. Though Seraphiel was still the only Archangel who could challenge Anwyn Richir on the one versus one battle while Saint Archangel Michael was busy fighting against the Necromancer, Noe Clerico.

Seraphiel struck his icy sword repeatedly toward Anwyn while casting [Health Regeneration] and [Mana Regeneration] spells on himself. Seraphiel infused a lot of mana into the [Dispel Magic] spell that he cast earlier attempted to cancel one of Anwyn’s Fire Magic spells but it had no effect against her and Seraphiel ended up receiving some insignificant burning wounds. Because wanting to reserve his mana pool to ensure the battle between him and Anwyn can last long enough giving Saint Archangel time to defeat Noe Clerico, Seraphiel had to switch to physical battle using his icy sword and icy shield with the intent of having better effects against powerful Fire Magic spells of the Devil Overlord.

The [Flame Wall] spell Anwyn cast preceding to defend against the icy sword strikes of Seraphiel quickly worn out as it started to fade away. Seraphiel noticed that and took the opportunity to deliver his most powerful sword swing while keeping his guard up thinking Anwyn could be tricking him. The moment Anwyn’s [Flame Wall] spell was broken, Seraphiel immediately casted [Intensify Shield], one of Archangel’s Magic spells, to magnify the icy shield he was wearing into a thousand times bigger because Anwyn casted three colossal Fire Magic spells of [Fireball], [Flaming Phoenix], and [Inferno], toward Seraphiel.

After Seraphiel’s [Intensify Shield] successfully blocked Anwyn’s Fire Magic spells, he breathed out slightly and said, “Even just regular Fire Magic spells, but cast by the Devil Overlord had a much greater effect. Anyway, I’m starting to get bored now. Anwyn Richir, when will you show me some of your unique magic spells?”

Instead of answering Seraphiel, Anwyn cast a colossal version of the [Exploding Fireball] spell. Once again, Seraphiel had to use his [Intensify Shield] not only to block but completely absorb it, preventing the explosion from hitting the nearby Angel Warriors and Angel Mages who were fighting strongly against the demon armies of the Demon Lords. Even though Demon Lords and their demon armies could use up to ninety-nine percent of their true power in Toria Continents by coming through the Hell Gates opened by Kain Bersk, the one percent difference clearly showed on the battlefield as the casualties of Angel Warriors and Angel Mages were little to none comparing to the demons.

Each Demon Lord was fighting with at least ten Sixteen Wings Angel Warriors except for Kimaris who was fighting against fifty Sixteen Wings Angel Warriors and ten Sixteen Wings Angel Mages by himself using his demon form as the Four Wings Demon wearing full platinum armor from head to toe. Four horns grew out of Kimaris’s head and the Fire Gauntlets on his hands turned into a pure white color scythe that kept on releasing a dark energy aura. The pure white color scythe on Kimaris’s hands was Ursula, his Soul Weapon who could transform into a level 100 Earth Mage to cast Earth Magic at wills.

With the help of Ursula, Kimaris easily slew any Sixteen Wings Angels that dared to block his advancing path. If it wasn’t for the Sixteen Wings Angel Mages who kept casting [Resurrection] spells, the fifty Sixteen Wings Angel Warriors could all have been slew a long time ago. Even when having the ability to revive its comrades, the Sixteen Wings Angel Mages started showing signs of having their mana pools reaching depletion which was why they sent an urgent request to their Archangel, Archangel Ariel, who was teaming up with Archangel Azrael and Archangel Chamuel to fight against Devil-Kain.

Archangel Ariel was annoyed by how strong Kimaris is. If compared to an Archangel such as herself, Kimaris wasn’t worth being mentioned. But since Kimaris was too strong for her Sixteen Wing Angels, she decided to break away from fighting Devil-Kain to go kill Kimaris. Ariel was surprised at how a fake Devil Battlemage such as Kain Bersk could hold back three Archangels for that long, but sooner or later Kain’s mana pool would reach depletion and his transformation would be forced to cancel. By that time, Azrael and Chamuel will be able to easily kill Kain.

Devil-Kain was still concealing the true power that he recently fully unlocked after recovering both of his Souls. Little did Ariel know Kain had the ability to use Blood Magic. All the Archangels of Heaven Realm knew about Noe Clerico, but none of them knew much about Kain Bersk or Arthur Castillon. To be correct, the Archangels knew some about Noe Clerico, not everything about him. They knew Noe was named the Protector of Toria Continents after having an unusual deal with Watcher Zorim about prohibiting Saint Michael to visit Toria Continents for as long as Noe continued remaining at level 100 of Saint Conjurer Mage. The Archangels also knew that Noe went to the Hell Realm and made a fool out of the Devil Overlord without getting killed because of his [Unlimited Life] spell. The thing they didn’t know about Noe was how powerful he truly is. Even though no Archangel dared to think Noe had a slight chance of defeating Saint Michael, they knew for sure they couldn’t be compared to him after seeing Noe was still alive after confidently taunting Michael several times.
