Even though they were still some distance apart, and were blocked by lush trees, it was obvious that the red light in the air came from the raging fire.

In other words, a fire was breaking out at the pier. As for why there was a fire in the middle of the night, the reason was self-evident.

Ansha was really thoughtful enough to burn their boats and cut off their back roads.

The brothers who stayed on the boat must have been ill-advised.

Jiang Yufeng painfully smashed a fist of air, his tall and upright body trembling like autumn leaves in the dark, almost unsteady.

However, there was no time for them to grieve over it. Because the sounds of baking dogs were heard not far away, presumably they had found them running away.

Qiao Wen looked back in panic. Sure enough, he saw the red torch and flashlight piercing the night of the village in full swing. The originally quiet night suddenly became noisy and chaotic. Azhi pulled the distraught Jiang Yufeng: “Brother Feng, we have to go right away.”

Jiang Yufeng barely regained his composure. Just as he was about to take people away, he suddenly realized that he did not know which direction to run since the boat was burning and the road was blocked.

While he was hesitating, Qiao Wen’s voice sounded: “There is a forest mountain on the left. Let’s run into the mountains.”

The sound of barking dogs came closer and closer, and gunshots rang out in the air, apparently to deter them.

The light of torches and flashlights, accompanied by the noisy footsteps of the chasing soldiers, made it impossible for them to think about it. As soon as Qiao Wen’s voice fell, like receiving the commend, they turned around in the same direction, and ran toward the dark forest not far away.

In fact, no one knew that the bottomless tropical jungle hidden what flying beasts, but for them at this time, any beast would not be more dangerous than those behind the gun-wielding pursuers.

With the exception of Qiao Wen, the three were able-bodied men, and fled up at great speed naturally.

Not wanting to drag them, Qiao tried his best to follow their rhythm, but he soon drifted off the team.

His breathing became more and more rapid, his hands and feet were soon out of control, and his brain felt dizzy beyond its power.

Chen Jianan, who was running in front, seeing him unable to keep up, hurriedly slowed down to tug his hand, and yelled in a breathy voice: “Brother Feng, Xiao Qiao can’t run anymore. You help me carry my bag, and I will carry him.”

Jiang Yufeng in front stopped slightly and asked in the darkness: “Awen, are you okay?”

Qiao Wen very much wanted to say that he was okay, but his throat felt like it was on fire, making him unable to utter a word, so the only reply he got was his panting.

Chen Jianan threw the backpack to Jiang Yufeng, and quickly carried the  Qiao Wen who was about to fall on his back, exhaling heavily, “Brother Feng, let’s go!”

Jiang Yufeng catched the bag and also, not forgetting to say: “If you can't hold, change him with me.” and continued to run ahead.

Chen Jianan said quite boldly: “It’s okay, I can do it.”

Qiao Wen had been sick seedling all year round and could not eat a few mouthfuls of rice. Even though his condition had improved considerably over the past few months, he had not yet broken away from the word "thinness" and naturally he was not much heavier.

But no matter how thin he was, he was still a grown man, and it was no easy task to walk a few steps with him on his back, not to mention running at full speed.

He was lying on Chen Jianan’s sturdy back. The thing he was most worried about happened, and it was still because of his body that he was hindered.

Especially during the bumps, he heard Chen Jianan’s increasingly heavy breathing, and felt more and more guilty and anxious, but now was not a time to be polite, so he could only quietly calm down and let himself recover first.

It was not known how long the've been running. In short, the fire in the pier and village were far left behind, and the forest at night was already in sight.

However, before he could breathe a sigh of relief, he saw a dim light ahead.

Jiang Yufeng jerked to a halt and whispered. “Get down, there is a checkpoint.”

Although this checkpoint was some distance away from the Ansha headquarters, the movements tonight were still big, so there was a high possibility of the news reaching here.

The only way to avoid the chasers was to enter the forest immediately, but it was too late to change directions or detour, so they could only go directly over this checkpoint.

With the only thought of crossing over, they laid on the ground, planning to crawl forward among the grasses and trees. In this way they could pass the searchlight light from the observation deck over them.

The lights kept flashing back and forth, making it impossible to go on.

Jiang Yufeng instructed: “We have a big goal, let’s split into two and pass the checkpoint by either side and meet again in the past.”

Chen Jianan took his bag and said, “I and Xiao Qiao will go this way.”

“Well, you two be careful.”

As the searchlight moved away, the four quickly parted in the dark.

While putting Qiao Wen down, “Xiao Qiao, can you do it?” Chen Jianan asked about the situation of the people behind him.

“Don’t worry about me, I’m fine.”

He raised his head slightly, through a little moonlight, he saw Chen Jianan in the grass shaking his head and arching his tail forward. Although the posture was not very graceful, he was very dexterous and agile, almost like a flexible snake.

Qiao Wen had just been carried all the way by him, and had recovered a bit, not wanting to drag him any further, he clenched his teeth and kept up with him.

He has extensive cross-country experience, but it was really difficult to use this weak body. No matter how skilled he was, he barely kept up with Chen Jianan, of course, the premise that the other party deliberately waited for him.

But this body had its advantages, for thinness and lightness. Combined with his experience, the movements could hardly be heard.

Chen Jianan, who was crawling in front, quickly realized this, wondering if he had been left behind, then looked back from time to time, making sure he was following him silently, before moving on with ease.

In this way, the two closely tailed one after other, succeeded in avoiding the searchlights which had been repeatedly shone over, and unknowingly succeeded in crossing over the small checkpoint.

When they passed the distance that the searchlights could not reach, the two stopped and waited to meet Jiang Yufeng.

Except for the moonlight in the sky and the lights of the checkpoints, the surroundings were all dark, and they couldn’t see where the two men hidden in the grass went.

As they waited with bated breath, the soldier at the checkpoint suddenly yelled in Vietnamese, and then opened fire at a certain place. The originally quiet checkpoint suddenly became noisy and boisterous.
