Chapter 47 Clingy Si Yuhan

Translator: Storm in a Teacup

The beard man couldn’t help smiling. He walked away to his own house with his hands behind his back. He really wished he could settle brother Lin in his own room, but it would scare him away, so he couldn’t, not yet. But that day would come, very soon.

As soon as that man left, a bunch of delicious food were served right away.  Ke Ruan walked out of the corner, sat right opposite Lin Qingye, settled Si Yuhan on the seat next to him, then asked, “Why was that man so nice to you?”

“Is that so?”

Lin Qingye answered in a cold voice.

Ke Ruan was utterly speechless.

He turned to Si Yuhan and rubbed his hair, “You must be hungry. Have some food.”

“Are you not afraid of being poisoned?”

What? Ke Ruan didn’t expect this.

Why didn’t he find before that Lin Qingye was such a pain in the ass? Now he didn’t know if he should give it to Si Yuhan or not.

Si Yuhan, however, took it and said in a low voice, “I am a little hungry.”

“Then have some more.”

Lin Qingye looked evern more pissed off.

“Take those people we captured out!”

Having been by the general’s side for so many years, everyone could see that General Lin was mad, which could lead to a mess. So they just stood there silently. When General Lin gave the order, everyone wanted to run the errands for him so they could get out of here.

Ke Ruan sighed, “General Lin. The reason why I am here was that I was so worried about you. I don’t want anything bad happen to you.”

Lin Qingye gasped. No one noticed that what was in Si Yuhan’s hand was now like powder. His eyes were like ice in winter. So it was to help Lin Qingye that Ke Ruan went uphills regardless of his own safety. So Ke Ruan was not reborn like he was. Now he knew for sure.

But, there was some unexplainable feeling in his heart all of a sudden.

“General Lin, don’t worry. As long as you keep me by your side, I promise I’ll behave and not cause any trouble. It is what it was. It’s no use being mad at me, right?”

Si Yuhan suddenly stood up. Ke Ruan looked at him and asked, “Han, what’s wrong?”

Si Yuhan put on his poker face and said, “Nothing. I’m just tired.”

Ke Ruan also rose up, took his hand and walked with him to the bed. There was only one bed. It must be General Lin’s. But Ke Ruan assumed that General Lin wouldn’t mind. After all, Si Yuhan was just a child who needed rest more, “Go to sleep. I’m here with you.”

He was gonna let go of Si Yuhan’s hand while he felt pressure on his hand. Si Yuhan took his hand. Ke Ruan smiled. It was a good sign which meant that the leading character relied on him. He patted him on the back of Si Yuhan’s hand and said, “Good boy. I’m right here with you. I’m not going anywhere. Just have some rest.”

Si Yuhan looked right into his eyes, then closed his own eyes.

Ke Ruan sat next to Si Yuhan, looked at his young face and sighed. If he didn’t come here and replace the original Ke Ruan, who knew what would happen to this poor boy. Maybe his being here was meant-to-be. Si Yuhan was just a child, and children were simple. If one was nice to him, he would remember his kindness, otherwise he would remember his cruelty. But for most children, they would only remember the nice part, which applied to Si Yuhan perfectly.

He thought it would take a long time before he could forgive him. He didn’t expect that this boy would forgive him in such a short time.

He was such a poor boy, making Ke Ruan want to protect him.

Leaning on the pillar, Lin Qingye was looking at Ke Ruan, then Si Yuhan. The weird feeling in his heart was not gone but became stronger.
