A tree monster that has a face and can control tree elements. No, the last time Ars fought that tree monster, someone controlled it from within. Which means Father Tree is just a golem.

There was most likely some sort of old Wizard controlling Father Tree's golem from within.

"Why are you leading the war and want to grow darkness in this world ?!"

In that question, Ars sighed. He even asked the same thing.

"But who can answer that question?"

"What?"

Ars pulled his sword back. He will not back down, even if someone asks a question about his morality.

"Then feel the wrath of the Sacred Forest of Wizards!"

Ars felt something big coming towards him from the left. Before he could realize what it was, he already hit and blew away quite hard.

The attack just now was the only attack Ars could withstand using his own body. It didn't do much damage, but there were follow-up attacks coming from a different source.

From the front, a large wooden mace swung towards Ars.

Ars has the option to cut, but he will take damage. Because of that, they forced Ars to lower his self-esteem and jump backwards.

The immense pressure from the swinging mace wave just now created an explosion that knocked Ars slightly away.

Ars landed safely. However, he was not happy.

"When you think you've finished the quest, you being led to the boss's room, and the boss has two servants with him. It feels like a plot in the Dank Souls series."

A tree monster with four goat legs, the head of a lion, has many sharp tree horns, and looks like a dragon. Let's name him Lion Golem.

The other monster is an Orc Golem, holds a wooden Mace in its left hand, and a shield in the right.

One of them was like Father Tree's pet, and the other was like a guard golem.

"You shall not pass!"

Father Tree is ready with his combat power to fight the Darkness.

"Dark Knight!"

Dark Invaders finally caught up with Ars. As usual, they were just useless pawns that could only be used as a source of Abyssal Reaction and a distraction.

Ars sighed. "Okay, you'll be the last, right? Or later I have to fight your sister, or your daughter, or an ally who will come from somewhere? If not, that's good. I don't want it to be 1 or 2 chapters longer, even the readers are tired with all this shit."

Ars feels really sick and disgusted by all the plots he has to go through. He just wanted things done quickly so he could return to Terra.

"Though that shitty god won't allow me to remember everything that happens in this world."

From Father Tree's side, Lion Golem will be a sword that will draw forward. The Orc Golem will become a shield as well as a spear to help Father Tree.

The Dark Invaders who were around the Lion Golem exploded one by one.

The art that Ars just used utilized Abyssal Reaction in the Dark Invaders body. He almost forgot all of his pawns are walking Abyssal Arts, and the limitless supply of weapons that the Abyssal God gave him.

That way, Ars doesn't need to move too much to face Father Tree.

Several roots suddenly spread out, not to attack, but to save the Lion Golem.

"You really are a ruthless creature!"

Father Tree saved the Lion Golem, which should have been completely destroyed.

Just like Father Tree, it seemed that both the Lion Golem and the Orc Golem had their own core, which if it got destroyed, they would not be able to rise. But they can still regenerate indefinitely in that forest.

When Ars was still paying attention to the Lion Golem, they threw several tree spears at him.

Ars did not move, there was none of that attack hit him.

Ars raised his hand, then pointed at Father Tree. The directive immediately made all Dark Invaders run to their intended target.

Father Tree immediately knew that the Dark Knight could use his soldiers to become a suicide weapon. So he made a wall of thorn roots to stop the Dark Invaders.

As before, the Dark Invaders began to explode and destroy Father Tree's defenses.

The Orc Golem swung its mace to knock down several Giant Leaf Trees. All the fallen trees led to the Dark Invaders, effective enough to reduce their numbers.

When his soldiers came forward, Ars was still standing behind. Prepare to face the Lion Golem, who rose once again.

The Lion Golem did something to the wooden feathers on its head. The wooden feathers turned sharp and launched towards the Dark Knight.

"Protect the Dark Knight!"

Dozens of Dark Invaders came to Ars and offered their bodies to become meat shields. But their bodies alone wouldn't be enough to withstand the bullets of the wooden spears.

Ars raised one Dark Invader, "[Arts: Scale]!"

Ars managed to protect himself, his soldiers died in vain. Well, that doesn't matter, tho.

The Lion Golem shot up and was close. Ars drew Beast Blade, then did two swings.

"Beast Claw: Double-twin Slash!"

Ars does two swings that send out two slashes of wind. The first slash stopped the Lion Golem, the second slashed the tree monster in half.

When it was split into two, the Lion Golem was bleeding in the middle.

"Lyorn!"

Father Tree shouted that one name, which seemed to be the one who was inside the Lion Golem.

Behind, Father Tree rampaged and threw more thorn roots from the ground. It inconvenienced the Orc Golem just to protect itself.

"You savage! You have killed my students! Now you also kill my second child!"

The old wizard controlling Father Tree maximized the functions of his golem. Extracted many thorn roots, sprouted branches from golems and uprooted the trees around Dark Invaders. He even fired Steel Leaves, which is his last line of defense.

"Vanish! Vanish! Vanish!"

The old wizard controlling Father Tree's golem is the leader of the Wizards, and the chief guardian of the Sacred Forest of Wizards.

He is in the space for Father Tree's control. Even though it looked difficult to penetrate, Father Tree's golem had no flesh on its back, which made the Wizard Leader is actually an easy target.

"What?"

While getting out of control, the Wizard Leader paid no attention to the position of the Dark Knight. When he had calmed down a little, it was too late to detect the Dark Knight's presence.

"Ngaaaahhh!"

Ars cut off the Wizard Leader's hands. Stripping off the old man to let him speak.

The Wizard Leader retreated to the wall of the room, feeling the intense fear and pressure he had suffered from losing both hands.

"Who are you?! Why are you sparking war in this peaceful world?!"

Ars did not answer the Wizard Leader's question. He instead got closer to Father Tree's golem controllers. There, a magic wand and broomstick were stuck into the floor.

"The battle in Silver Steel gave me the Hammer of the Strongest Hinayan Warrior. Maybe if I hold these two things, I can get both of them."

The Dark Knight spoke out of the context of warfare. Like the battle he won was not the goal of his fight.

"What are you? What has this world done to you?"

The two questions caught Ars's attention.

"Can you answer those two questions yourself? Since I don't know either, why all these things have to happen, and why should I be involved in it?"

At that instant, a Luminous Maiden appeared next to the Dark Knight from nowhere.

The Wizard Leader stunned at the sight of Darkness and Light standing side by side.

"You are, anomaly?"

That may be the right word to give to the Dark Knight

"I didn't choose to be here. They don't let me stop or die. Moving on is the only option."

When the two adults are in a conflict, and the war is still going on. The Luminous Maiden just stood there wordlessly. Fulfilling her duty to accompany the Dark Knight.
