Elisa was sleeping helplessly. Where also seen that she was enduring untold pain.

On the left side of the bed, Ars sit quietly.

Ars's wives shivered because they saw Ars sitting next to Elisa.

He said he will go adventuring on Floor 2 before. But there he is, has witnessed everything that happened.

He had accepted that Elisa was Infected, and the Infection had eaten her body in a volume that made her suffer.

The only person who knows how long Elisa could last is Frida. 

The atmosphere became so heavy when they wait for Frida to answer Ars question. 

"For unknown reason, she let herself suffer that made it late for her to get treatment. And I'm afraid, she only has two days of living, and three days until her body fully crystallized."

Frida's diagnosis literally gave goosebumps to the others who heard it.

"Only two days?! Is your diagnosis correct?! Even though Elisa's infection was severe, it still was too fast"

"Normally, when someone got Infected, they only have one year or two to live. 

Even though there are many cases where the Legend has lived until now after they got their infection a few years ago.

But that condition only applies when they spend their time in locations with low Mana flow. Unexpectedly, I just found out that the World Wall Abyss Pit has an unusual Mana flow. 

The same goes with Adam Tree Abyss Pit, but we can't avoid that by riding the capsule ship. However, you new folks, entering the Pit with an opened ship, which indirectly allows that irregular flow of Mana to enter your breathing space. Which causes the volume of mana in your body to build up.

In the past few days, I have received reports that several tens of the new folks' group have had a fever for no apparent reason. But they recover after resting for a day or two.

Those with fever are citizens who never or rarely interact with Mana. As for the Hunters, they were fine. It strengthens my perception that traveling with minimal safety is what makes them sick. Or in this case, it was-"

Frida is completely merciless with her mouth.

Infection is a cancer without cure. But there is a way to slow down it. Unfortunately, they cannot slow down Elisa's Infection, let alone cure it.

No one was able to answer that question. 

Frida could do it just easy. But that would end up getting her hated by Ars Faction.

The room fell into a murderous, desolate atmosphere. Until somebody walked to the other side of the bed, get on the bed, then rub the patient's forehead.

That was the Spear of Saint, Jeanne. 

She is not tied to any relationship with Elisa, nor she knows about Elisa. But she showed a motherly expression, who was hurt on seeing Elisa's condition.

"For years ago, Floor 2 time, Samuel sentenced with death because of abnormal Infection. Only a few who knew about it. But that was already like the end of the world for us."

Jeanne suddenly talking about a certain someone. No one knows who is this 'Samuel' that Jeanne mentioned, except Ars. 

"The one who did not accept that fact the most was Satria. He got so mad because Samuel did not say anything about his unexpected disease."

Jeanne's story was like that happened now. Samuel is Elisa. Satria is Ars. 

Huxian did not know the full story about it, but she knew Satria. Frida did not know Samuel and Satria is, but she had a guess that those two people were Staff Saint and Sword Saint.

"Samuel did not have much time as the abnormal Infection ate his body like a heavy rain drowning a city. But when nobody looking, Satria did something that prolong Samuel's life."

"Only prolong?"

"Yes. Because Samuel died two years ago, by Infection."

Jeanne story gave a hope to Elisa, and encourage Ars. 

"Do you know something about how that shorty did it?"

"There is no one who knows anything about it, except Maria."

Maria Christina. The Administrator of Saint Arcane Academy, and the Head Priest of Church of Longing. 

She is a virtue. Who supposed to be the enemy of the Sins. But for some reason, she is in Abyssal Hunter's side and even becomes the most important person of the faction. 

Ars took a deep breath. His breath gave positivity to the atmosphere of the room. 

They all know that he going to go up to Floor 2. 

"Wait, Ars!"

Before Arlene could stop him, Ars already disappeared from the scene. 

"Do you want to stop him?" asked Huxian. 

"I want to go with him."

From all the wives, Arlene feels most responsible for Elisa's condition.

She was the first to discover Elisa's condition when they passed through the Pit. She was the one who complied with Elisa's wish to hide her condition from Ars. She was also the one who witnessed Elisa sacrifice herself to awaken Ars, whose heart was stolen.

She felt so guilty that she wanted to cry to Elisa when no one was around.

The rest of the wives could feel Arlene's pain. They also felt guilty towards Elisa. But they cannot do anything about it now except wait for Ars to return.
