10 – Maybe there was no peace in the first place.

Maybe they weren’t enjoying peace. Although people were living after hiding the truth in the name of peace, the reality may still be that they were in a gutter with villains running rampant.

Just as the sun is still burning even if you cover the sky with your palm, no matter how much they long for peace and create it with lies, the reality is like hell.

“Run! “We have to run away!”

The students who witnessed the sight of a person falling before their eyes felt that fact keenly.

The school was devastated by the villain’s attack.

The students were screaming and running toward safety, but even so, it wasn’t a good choice now that the entire school was covered in villains.

The students continued to encounter villains, some were slightly injured, some were seriously injured, and a small number of them died horribly. In some ways, it may be natural to tremble in fear upon seeing their injuries or corpses.

Humans are beings who value their own lives the most. If they are not afraid even when looking at the hell that is their future, it is one of three things. Either you have the strength to overcome your fears, you have a mental problem and cannot feel fear, or you are not human.

For young students, none of these three conditions apply. Therefore, even if they sit down in fear, there will be no one who can say anything to them. The only people who would say anything in the first place were the villains and classmates who were equally trembling with fear – but that was it anyway.

“Run! “There are hero department students over there, so there must be teachers there too!”

But they continued to run away. Rather, they knew that it would be foolish to stop when they were at risk of death.

Even though they are rotten, they are students attending Korea’s only hero academy. They may have become relaxed because they were swept up in a false peace, but they did not completely turn their eyes to reality. Or maybe it was even more so because this wasn’t the first time the villains had attacked.

Students keep running away with the thought that they need people to protect them. The villains have tried their best to kill them, but despite this, they are not performing well, and now they are losing the ability to escape.

“These bastards, we’ve finally cornered them.”

Words that were tantamount to a death sentence were given to the students who were running away.

A group of villains appeared as soon as they turned the corner of the hallway. They all pull out weapons with scary faces or activate their abilities and glare at the students.

The students instinctively looked back, but the villains chasing them were still behind them, which meant they had nowhere else to run.

The students realized. Now they cannot escape anywhere with their strength. The only option left for them is to die here, or-

“Oh my God.”

All they could do was cry out to God, who would be their only savior, and close their eyes, but there was no God who could reach out to them. If a God who we didn’t even know existed in the first place was going to take the side of the young students, wouldn’t he have saved even those who would have died a long time ago?

“Stop.”

However, this does not mean that they cannot be saved.

“What are you- wow?!”

It doesn’t matter even if God doesn’t listen to them. In the first place, the current society was not created by God’s will, but by people gathering together. Even if there is no God, there are humans.

Even though the person who reached out to them was only a few years older than them, they were able to smile with their eyes wide open. Their seniors, the girl in front of them right now is-

“-Hero.”

Because he was a hero who would save them.

“Will-o-the-Wisp!”

As the girl with long silver hair shouted, her golden eyes began to sparkle.

The fireball floating in the air rushes towards the villains and hits them, and the villains fly back and hit the wall. Other villains who saw her like that changed her target and pushed her with their weapons and aimed their guns at her, but despite this, she was quickly subdued.

The students who watched this with fascination realized why they are called the golden generation.

Not to mention Seong Han-gyeol, the class president of the 3rd year hero department, Choi Ji-hyeon, the vice class president, and the senior in front of them right now, Seong Hyun-ah –

“-Are you okay?”

Because he was shining brighter than any hero they watched in videos.

All the villains who were laughing as if they were going to kill everyone fell down, and finally, after trampling on her last villain, the girl swept up her bangs and smiled as she looked at her students – and only then did they stop staring blankly at her. She nodded repeatedly.

“Are you a general or a junior?”

“Yes… Yes!”

“Don’t cry, because we are here now.”

She comforts them and smiles kindly, then looks at the students’ condition and lets out a sigh of relief. Some people suffered minor injuries, but no one suffered life-threatening injuries. It can be said that just not losing one’s life in this hellish place is remarkable enough.

“What about other seniors…?”

“I have now gone to rescue other students. “It was the same for me, but thanks to you, I met you.”

She smiled and reassured her students, then immediately took out her cell phone from her pocket and contacted her students. Although she doesn’t have the in-ears she uses during her hero activities, she leaves a message in the class chat room saying that she rescued students and moves on immediately.

She was smiling and comforting her juniors, but if you look at it, she wasn’t in a very good situation. Not only was the situation reported poorly through cell phones rather than in-ear earphones, but there was also a lack of information to the extent of not knowing how many villains had invaded the entire school, and the number of students who could move right away was also small.

“-Let’s go first.”

“Where?”

“To the auditorium. “Because everyone said they would gather there.”

However, they do what they can. I believe in my friends and move forward believing that I will win this time too. The students who had experienced numerous incidents and accidents since the entrance ceremony had grown so strong that they could now be compared to heroes, and because of this, they were able to have faith in their peers.

“Ah, there are still first year juniors left! “You’re probably still trapped inside the class-“

Students moving immediately to evacuate. However, when one male student spoke hesitantly, everyone’s expressions hardened. They stopped, weighing the fact that they had to save them and their own safety.

“It’s okay. Because a reliable ally is going there.”

However, Hyuna smiled and spoke confidently. Her faith in their classmates was strong, especially-

“Our ice princess!”

Compared to them, I had even stronger faith in a student named Choi Ji-hyeon, whose skills were far superior –

“That b*tch, she’s a snow girl! Capture-“

“Blizzard.”

Choi Ji-hyeon. As expected, the girl using the hero name Snow Woman was moving forward, easily overpowering her villains.

“…Damn it.”

Still, a cool-headed aura befitting his usual expressionless face. She moved forward, freezing the villains as they were, and started running down her stairs like crazy.

“-Kill!”

“Do not disturb!”

Her villains, who had no intention of letting her go, attacked her with their weapons, but-

“-Blizzard.”

The result was the same as the villains she encountered before. The villains, flinching from the suffocating cold air, immediately turned into ice sculptures and froze, and as soon as they fell to the ground, all but their limbs and mouths were frozen.

Even though she is still a student, she has the ability to kill villains in an instant and even has neat follow-up actions. Her performance earned her recognition among heroes and citizens, and she deserved to be called the Ice Princess, as her friends nicknamed her –

“I don’t have time to do this.”

Her face, which looked like a doll without any emotions, showed impatience, and her true feelings coming out of her mouth showed the fact that she was a warm-hearted person.

-Other students may be in danger. No, it’s definitely dangerous!

The reason she kicked down the door of her classroom with her friends after hearing her consistent words was none other than to protect the students. So, as she was now rushing to the classroom of her juniors, first-year hero students, ominous thoughts continued to flow in her head.

Now that the villains have reached the third floor, where they are, there is no way the students on the first floor will be safe. What if they all die?

I keep trying to shake off all these gloomy thoughts, but it doesn’t work out the way I want. So she reached the ground floor with all her might, rounded the corner, checked her hallway, and-

“-Move quickly, quickly. “Do you think that if you keep doing this, the god you serve might get rejected?”

She faced villains wearing masks on their heads, whose attire was significantly different from those she had seen so far.

“…Ash.”

“What is it? Suddenly, like a dog with a poop-huh?”

A red-haired villain who turns his head when a villain speaks while pointing ahead. She froze when she saw a hero in front of her and-

“Ah, if I go back again, I’ll hear something.”

She slapped her forehead when she saw the girl who was trying to protect the hero in front of her, whose god was close to madness.
