The Wizard’s Fairy Tale

: The fairy tale that appeared-"The Grimm's Fairy Tales·White Snake"

Once upon a time, there was a king who was famous throughout the country for his wisdom. He didn't know anything about the world, and it seemed that even secret things could reach his ears. However, the king had an odd habit: after dinner every day, the table was cleaned up, and everyone else had left, a faithful waiter would bring him another dish. However, the dish was covered with a lid, and no one knew what was inside, not even the attendant, because the king had to wait until he was alone in the room before opening the lid to eat.

This situation lasted for a long time, and finally one day, the waiter who served the bowl could no longer restrain his curiosity, and brought the dish into his room. He locked the door carefully, opened the lid, and saw that the dish on the plate was a white snake. After he saw it, he couldn't help but want to taste it, so he cut a small piece with a knife and put it in his mouth. As soon as the snake meat touched his tongue, he heard some strange little voices whispering outside the window. He walked to the window and listened carefully, and found that it was a group of sparrows chatting, talking to each other what they had seen in the fields and forests. After eating that piece of snake meat, he can now understand animal language!

It's a coincidence that on this day, the queen's most beautiful ring disappeared. Because this attendant could go anywhere, the suspicion of stealing the ring fell on him. The king called him to swear, and threatened that if he could not tell who the thief was the next morning, he would himself be convicted of a thief and be executed. The attendant repeatedly declared that he was innocent, but it was useless, and the king did not change his mind.

The attendant was worried and scared in his heart, so he went into the yard to figure out how to get rid of his bad luck. A few ducks sat quietly by the stream in the yard, combing their feathers with their beaks, and whispering. The attendant stood by and listened. They respectively tell where they have been throughout the morning and what good things they found to eat.

One of the ducks complained, "I have something heavy in my stomach. I hurriedly ate while eating, and I swallowed a ring under the queen's window into my stomach."

The waiter immediately grabbed the duck by the neck, took it to the kitchen, and said to the chef: "Give you a fat duck. Please kill it."

"Okay," said the chef, and he squeezed the duck with his hands. "This guy is so desperate to fatten himself up. He has already been waiting for it in the oven." The chef chopped off the duck's head. When I dig out the duck's entrails, I found the queen's ring inside.

This servant proved his innocence easily. The king felt that he should not be wronged that way, and wanted to make some remedies, so he allowed him to make a request, and also promised that as long as he opened his mouth, he could give him the best position in the palace. But the attendant declined all this and only asked for a horse and some travel expenses to let him go out and see the outside world. The king agreed to his request, and he set off.

One day, he came to a pond and saw three fish in the pond entangled by the reeds. He wanted to drink water one by one. Although people often say that fish are dumb, he heard them sighing for his tragic death. He was very kind, got off the horse and put the three fish back into the water. The fish was very happy. He poked his head out of the water and shouted at him: "We will remember you, and we will repay you for your life-saving grace."

He rode on his horse and continued to move forward. After a while, he felt as if he heard something in the sand under his feet. He listened for a while, and heard an ant king complaining: "Why don't those humans riding stupid animals stay away from us? How many of us have been trampled to death by the heavy hoof of this stupid horse!" The horse was taken to the side road. The king of ants shouted to him: "We will remember you. Kindness will be rewarded naturally!"

This path took him into a forest. He saw two old crows standing by the nest, throwing little crows out. "You delicious, lazy, useless things! Get out of here!" the old crow cursed, "we can't feed you anymore. You are all grown up so old, you should feed yourself." But one of those little crows A man lying on the ground, flapping his wings and shouting: "We are so pitiful! No one can help us. We need to support ourselves, but we can't even fly! Apart from lying here starving to death, what else do we have? What about other ways?" The kind-hearted young man jumped off his horse, drew his sword and killed the horse, leaving the little crow for food. The little crows jumped over immediately, eating and shouting: "We will remember you. Kindness will be rewarded!"

He can only walk on two legs now. After a long walk, he came to a big city. There was a group of people chattering in the street, and one person on horseback shouted: "The principal chooses the husband, but the suitor must complete a difficult task. If he fails to achieve it, he will lose his life." Many People have tried it, but they just lost their lives in vain. As soon as our young man saw the princess, he was fascinated by her beauty. He forgot about the danger and went to the king to propose marriage.

He was taken to the beach, and a ring was thrown into the sea in front of him. The king ordered him to fish up the ring from the bottom of the sea, and said: "If you can't get it, we will push you back into the sea until the waves swallow you." Everyone felt sorry for the handsome young man, all of them quietly. Gone, leaving him alone by the sea.

He stood by the beach, thinking about what to do. Suddenly, he saw three fish swimming towards him, and it was the same three fish he had saved. The fish in the middle held a shell, and spit it at the young man's feet after swimming to the shore. He picked up the shell and opened it, only to see the gold ring inside. He happily brought the ring to see the king, thinking that the king would give him the reward he promised.

But when the arrogant princess learned of his humble origin, she looked down on him very much and asked him to complete the second task first. She walked to the garden, sprinkled ten bags of millet on the grass, and said: "Before sunrise tomorrow, you must pick up all of these, and you must not miss one!"

The young man sat in the garden, thinking about how to accomplish this task. But he didn't think of any way, so he sat there sadly, waiting for the morning to be taken to death. Unexpectedly, when the first ray of sunlight entered the garden, he saw that ten bags of millet were already lined up next to him, and there were not a lot of them. It turned out that the king ant came with thousands of ants at night. These little animals who repay their gratitude worked tirelessly to pick up all the millets and put them into the bag.

After a while, the princess came to the garden in person, and she couldn't help being surprised to see that the young man had completed the task assigned to him. But her arrogant heart has not been conquered yet, so she said: "Even though he has completed two tasks, I still can't marry him unless he can pick an apple from the tree of life."

The young man didn't know where the tree of life grew, but he set out anyway, and was going to keep looking for it until he couldn't walk. But he didn't have much hope. He searched all three kingdoms and came to a forest in one day. He was lying under a tree just about to go to sleep, when he heard a rustle on the branch, and a golden apple fell into his hand! At the same time, three crows flew down and landed on his knees, saying: "We are the three crows you saved. When we grew up, we heard that you were looking for golden apples, so we flew over the sea. At the end of the world with the tree of life, I picked the apples for you."

The young man embarked on his way home with great joy and brought the golden apple back to the beautiful princess. Now the princess has nothing to say. They cut the fruit of life in half and ate them, and her heart was filled with love for him, and they lived a happy and peaceful life ever since.
