The Way of The Dao

Chapter 63 – Removing the Poison

Ling Tian stood at the side of the bed, holding a little more than a dozen silver needles in his hand.

Tang Zhi had seen Ling Tian's interaction with her daughter. She smiled mysteriously while thinking of something.

"Auntie, I will place several needles all over her body. First I'll need to remove all the poison inside you and then give you medicine to help you get better". Ling Tian spoke gently to Tang Zhi, informing her of what he was going to do to her.

Tang Zhi nodded and let this mysterious and amazing young man place the needles into her body.

Ling Tian asked that a cauldron be brought in to make the medicinal liquid for Tang Nan before he began the healing. Tang Nan nodded and quickly went out to find it. Tang Wanying stayed to watch Ling Tian's procedure towards her mother.

Ling Tian proceeded to place the needles all over Tang Zhi's body, while with his spiritual sense he checked the place of the poison and directed his immortal force to remove the traces of poison in all her internal organs.

Tang Zhi felt a comfortable and warm sensation, like a refreshing breeze that swept away all her pains and renewed her completely.

Ling Tian had realized that Tang Wanying's mother had reached the Sixth Stage of Chi Gathering, but now she was only in the Second Stage. Although the poison was slow, it was still lethal, so it consumed her strength and vitality, forcing her to lose her inner power. Because she had a high martial arts power, it helped her hold on for a long time.

Tang Wanying did not make any noise to avoid disturbing Ling Tian. She was at her weakest, hoping that her mother could recover and get out of this tragedy.

The guard had taken Master Hon's body outside, so it was certain that he would be held captive and interrogated until he told the truth about the matter of poisoning Mrs. Tang.

Only three people were left in the room.

Tang Zhi saw the delicate actions that this young man conveyed to her by doing all this. She could somehow imagine why he was being careful and gentle with her.

She made her guesses internally while avoiding moving so as not to interrupt Ling Tian's care for her.

After an incense stick, Ling Tian managed to completely eliminate the traces of the poison in Tang Zhi's body.

Her pale, cool skin color gradually returned, while the heat began to circulate throughout her body. The black color of her fingers and nails disappeared, and a normal color appeared on them. Tang Zhi's emaciated, dry face changed and began to regain some of its original color. Even her hair seemed to be a bit silky and shiny, when it was dry and worn out before.

Although Tang Zhi still looked ill and a bit down, it was clear that her condition had improved greatly.

Dirt covered her skin, the impurities in her body had been removed by the immortal force of Ling Tian in healing and cleansing her body.

"Auntie, don't be afraid. That dirt is the impurities and part of the poison that was in her body". Ling Tian kindly explained.

Ling Tian soon removed the needles from her entire body while he went to the cauldron to refine the medicinal liquid.

He did not know if there was really a master alchemist within the Tang family who had his own cauldron, or if they got it from outside while he was wondering how they got the cauldron. He started refining the medicinal plants.

Tang Nan helped Tang Zhi to stand up, as Tang Zhi needed to wash the dirt from her skin. Even though every woman is ashamed of being dirty in front of other people, she was still able to keep calm as a adult woman and immediately tried to get up.

"Mom! You...!"

Tang Nan and Tang Wanying were surprised to see that Tang Zhi could get up even with effort.

She couldn't even move her arm for a long time before she got tired!

Did she really get cured?!

Ling Tian smiled at seeing the shock of the two women. He had helped eliminate the damage in Tang Zhi's body, so he could not stop from slowly returning some of her martial arts power only until the Fifth Stage of Chi Ghatering, only she had not yet regained enough strength to walk on her own, so she needed help yet.

Tang Wanying wanted to help her mother, but Tang Zhi told her to stay with Ling Tian while Tang Nan helped her to wash.

Tang Wanying accepted and stayed in the room alone with Ling Tian. Her heart beat uncontrollably when she watched the figure of this young man who had saved her mother's life. Unknowingly, her emotions were a mess inside her.

Ling Tian continued to refine the medicinal herbs to make the medicine.

Tagn Wanying did not disturb him while she watched him perform alchemy. She knew that when making the medicines and elixirs, the master alchemist must be very focused.

She was completely lost when watching his figure.

Tang Wanying remembered the nostalgic feeling she had felt about him a while ago, so she could not help feeling a little sad.

What had to happen to him to radiate such a depressing and sad feeling?

How much pain is hidden behind that smile?

Who is he really?

Endless questions ran through Tang Wanying's mind as she recalled her interaction with him throughout the day.

A shyness formed inside her as she recalled the contact the two of them had had.

It was the first time she had been close to a man other than her brother or father, and even more so, someone who had touched part of her body intimately for the first time, to the point of embracing her to protect her.

Tang Wanying could not help but want to know even more about this mysterious and very amazing young man, to the point that he is a great master alchemist at such an age.

After almost 30 minutes, Tang Zhi returned together with Tang Nan.

Her skin seemed to have almost recovered its original color and some brightness. Her face looked a little younger than before. She radiated a stronger and healthier aura. It seemed that she had regained some of her youth in a few moments.

"Mum!"

Tang Wanying cried with joy to see that her mother had really recovered. She loved her mother very much, so living without her would be very painful for her.

Tang Zhi lovingly embraced her daughter, thanking the heavens for sending her a savior and for her complete healing.

Ling Tian finished making the medicinal liquid and dispersed it into several porcelain bottles. These would help Tang Wanying's mother to recover slowly and gradually give her strength until she was well again. Her internal organs would also recover until they were functioning properly again.

Tang Zhi lay down on the bed again while looking at Ling Tian gratefully. She knew that this young man was her benefactor, someone sent from heaven.

"Auntie, take this medicine. It will help you feel better."

Ling Tian smiled gently at her while he handed her the bottle containing the medicinal liquid to drink.

Tang Zhi took the medicine at once, feeling her strength and spirit slowly return to her.
