The Way of The Dao

Ling Tian's gaze fell on the two small seeds he was holding in his hands at the moment.

"I found something interesting that I never thought would be in this place." Ling Tian smiled slightly, remembering what he had done and feeling the mysterious energies that these two small seeds were faintly transmitting to him.

Since the previous day and all night, Ling Tian had been immersed in a spiritual state to comprehend the mystery of Yin-Yang!

Ling Tian was facing many kinds of situations that would leave one mentally exhausted, since consciousness and comprehension was of vital importance and thus the one that was used all the time. He even experienced a few occasions when his life was in danger...

Once he managed to grasp a sliver of these mysterious forces, the water disappeared without a trace along with the fish and in the end only two small seeds appeared in front of him. Although there were no significant changes in his body, his knowledge and understanding had increased unimaginably...

"It's as if it's the vital essence contained in these energies..." Ling Tian carefully observed the two seeds in his hands, sensing the mystery in the faint, almost imperceptible energies they gave off.

Ling Tian felt that he should sow these seeds and he could probably grow a special and unique grass, or perhaps he could grow another similar small lake along with the small Yin-Yang fish. He didn't know what would result once he fully cultivated these seeds, but he was sure that these would be an important and influential factor in overcoming the Supreme realm once he returned to his peak...

"Y-you found the grasses we've been looking for?"

However, a slightly anxious tone was heard shortly after attracting Ling Tian's gaze.

Feng Xiao looked on with a slightly expectant expression. Feng Ye was also unable to look a little more attentively at Ling Tian.

"No, I had found something mysterious when I went to investigate but I didn't find what you were looking for." Ling Tian shook his head. In fact, Ling Tian had remembered the grasses they were looking for and went around the entire Nightmare Valley and couldn't find any of them.

The faint gleam in Feng Xiao's eyes disappeared, "It's okay, but thank you for your help." Still he thanked Ling Tian for the help.

"Is there anything new? By the way, where is Di Ji?"

Ling Tian asked once when he sat on the free seat beside Xuanyuan Ling and took the cup of tea that Shin Wei personally poured for him. But he didn't see Di Ji, so it was strange to him.

"We gave Di Ji the day off, Master. We told her not to worry and that she could rest." Shin Wei said.

Ling Tian nodded. He liked Di Ji, so he certainly had some interest and concern for her.

"And regarding news, there really isn't anything new, except that apparently the Young Master of this family returned." Shin Wei added.

"Feng Xuan?" Ling Tian asked slightly nonchalantly, quietly sipping his tea, "He didn't come here?"

Normally, once Feng Xuan found out that his personal room and courtyard had been occupied, he would come immediately.

"Till now, no, Master. It's even somewhat rare." Shin Wei shrugged his shoulders and said he thought so too.

"I think it's because he came with a member of the royal family and has been entertaining him since they arrived."

This time, it was Feng Ye's turn to speak.

"Royal family member?" Ling Tian couldn't help but raise his eyebrow slightly.

"It seems like this young man made some connections with the royal family in charge of the Academy, so this person's presence undoubtedly signifies support and recognition for Feng Xuan." Feng Ye said what he had heard and verified on this day.

Ling Tian thought for a few seconds before looking at Feng Ye and asking, "You were waiting for me?" He changed the subject without hesitation, as if he really didn't care about the royal family.

"I was coming to invite you to accompany us to the imperial capital once you finish recovering. I have obtained some reports that there will be an exclusive auction and some special grasses will be there..."

Feng Ye spoke sincerely and said what was on his mind. He had gone out to investigate several times and had found no clues about the True Essence Flower of the Sun and Moon, and the news from the patriarch of the Feng family didn't bring anything either, so he decided to leave this place and go to others, expanding his search ranges. Although he did not know Ling Tian's exact origins, Feng Ye knew that this is an amazing young man and has special background. Therefore, he wanted to form good relations with Ling Tian and invited him to travel with them.

Feng Ye looked at Ling Tian as an equal, not discriminating against him or viewing him from a higher rank, as if they were equals...

"Auction? We might be able to find some of the grasses we need there!" Feng Xiao looked at his grandfather and exclaimed happily.

If they couldn't find the main grass they needed, they could still find other grasses to lessen and even briefly stop his elder sister's suffering until they found the special grass!

"It wouldn't hurt to take a look at this auction." Ling Tian put his hand to his chin, thinking about the various auctions he had attended. No doubt there would always be something interesting at them, "It's okay, we'll accompany them. Just let these kids recover a bit more before we leave." His gaze nodded. The only goal they had besides recovering was to find a route to the Heavenly Earth continent and reunite with the others. They had nothing important to do in this place anyway.

"It's settled then." Feng Ye finally smiled and said, "I'll go to the nearby county to look for clues before we left this place. Xiao'er, stay for the meantime with Young Master Ling as I return."

"Yes grandfather, please take care of yourself." Feng Xiao nodded without a problem and asked Feng Ye to be careful.

Feng Ye nodded before disappearing from everyone's sight.

The sun soon descended, heralding the arrival of night.

"I'm leaving to let you all rest."

Feng Xiao stood up and stretched his body. He had been chatting with them for a long while, getting to know each other a little better.

"I wonder if you will attend the tournament tomorrow? The patriarch gave me an invitation, so we'll be able to take advantage of the places, or do you guys have something in mind to do?"

"I don't know, you guys want to go?"

Ling Tian looked at Shin Wei and Xuanyuan Ling.

"Whatever you say, Grandmaster." Xuanyuan Ling said softly.

Shin Wei thought for a moment before saying, "It's better than standing around doing nothing. Let's go for a while, Master." He nodded.

Ling Tian nodded and looked at Feng Xiao with affirmation. They still had to wait for Feng Ye to return before they could leave.

"Alright, tomorrow we'll go then. Have a good rest." Feng Xiao took his leave and returned to his personal courtyard.

"He really is a mature and intelligent young man at his age." Shin Wei commented after an indeterminate amount of time, "He looks a bit like Haoyun." Shin Wei looked with a small smile at Xuanyuan Ling.

"Haoyun?"  Ling Tian blinked slightly.

"He's my younger brother, Grandmaster." Xuanyuan Ling whispered with a touch of embarrassment before saying, "But my brother is still somewhat immature."

Ling Tian looked for a few seconds at Xuanyuan Ling before letting out a small laugh.

Xuanyuan Haoyun is Xuanyuan Ling's younger brother and is the disciple of all of them as well.

"Looks like there's another rascal kid in the family."

Ling Tian laughed a little upon hearing about Xuanyuan Haoyun from Shin Wei while he watched an embarrassed Xuanyuan Ling before calming down and speaking with a slight smile to the air, "Why don't you come out since you're here? Or are you planning to keep sneaking a peek?"

Ling Tian took another sip of tea quietly, Shin Wei continued to let out a few small giggles and Xuanyuan Ling blushed slightly more at Ling Tian's earlier comment with none of them taking any real importance to the unexpected visitor hiding in the shadows. 

Then, a slender figure wrapped in black robes stepped out from the shadows of a space and slowly walked towards the small table where the three of them were. Her gaze showed hesitation, her long hair was blowing in the wind and her footsteps stopped near them.

Once she approached, her gaze met Ling Tian's gaze and she was stupefied briefly before taking a deep breath and regaining her previous temper.
