The Way of The Dao

A nervous and hesitant Chen Zeiwei approached, her nervous gaze alternating between Ling Tian and Qing Sha, mainly on Qing Sha, as if hesitating whether to move forward or not. Chen Qiande was behind Chen Zeiwei, not daring to walk as he hesitantly and regretfully watched Qing Sha.

The others on Chen Zeiwei's side looked nervously at Ling Tian and the others, knowing that they came from different worlds in identity and strength.

Qing Sha looked at her curiously while still holding Ling Tian's hand, who the latter only stared indifferently at Chen Zeiwei. Although they were both blood sisters, Ling Tian would not easily forgive how they had treated Qing Sha in the past, even if Chen Zeiwei did nothing to her.

Just the fact that she didn't even try to look for or help Qing Sha said it all.

"A-are you okay?" However, Chen Zeiwei still asked once she stopped a few meters in front of Ling Tian, Qing Sha, Lan Yin and the little white fox in the latter's arms.

Her hesitant but brave expression was evident to everyone.

"Hmn?" Qing Sha blinked and tilted her head slightly upon hearing Chen Zeiwei before nodding with a happy smile, "En!" Her happy expression was evident, showing that she really is happy and cheerful right now.

"That's good." Chen Zeiwei finally sighed and a hint of relieved smile showed on her.

"Please take care of her, and give her the love she deserves." Chen Zeiwei shifted her gaze this time to Ling Tian, pleading for Qing Sha.

Although Chen Zeiwei realized that Qing Sha did not seem to hate her, she was aware that in her heart she is happy to be with these people, especially with that handsome young man; her gaze shone with happiness and joy just seeing him and being with him.

"Please!"

Before Ling Tian said anything, an anxious and regretful voice was heard behind Chen Zeiwei; Chen Qiande! 

His gaze full of regret, sadness and so on was evident as he looked guiltily and sorrowfully at Qing Sha.

Chen Qiande knew that he is a bad father and although Qing Sha may forgive him deep down in her tender little heart, Chen Qiande would not forgive himself. A father's bond with his daughter did not exist between them and all he could do was to pray for her sake and that she would live a full life full of joy and happiness.

Everyone else looked at Qing Sha, mainly He Qianye, Fu Yishuang and Quo Qifan with their minds confused and incredulous at the sight of him; they could not believe that this little girl beautiful like a little fairy from heaven was the cursed girl from months ago!

That white and delicate complexion, tender and soft to the eye, a face too cute and pretty, beautiful eyes with a bright amethyst violet color, and beautiful medium-long black hair starting to grow and that at its ends was starting to show an equally violet color made up the young and tender beauty of this little girl in front of them.

A complete difference from the time they saw her last time, thin and malnourished, with her face and body full of scars and horrible wounds!

No one could easily believe about the innocent and young beauty of this little girl.

But those amethyst violet eyes clearly urged them to believe it, for they were the only beautiful eyes of that color in the whole world.

Needless to say about her power!

It was a power that completely surpassed all of theirs!

They all tacitly looked at Ling Tian in awe, remembering his words at that moment: 'This little girl you refer to as a monster, to me, she is the most beautiful girl in the world, even far more beautiful than any of you, someone who will become a great beautiful woman in time.'

'This cute little girl is special who will become very beautiful and, above all, very powerful in the future, stronger than those so-called Immortals you blindly worship.'

And now, looking at the obvious contrast with the past, this young man had really opened everyone's eyes: Qing Sha is such a beautiful girl who would clearly be a spectacular beauty in the future, even much more so than her sister Chen Zeiwei. She will become a woman who can overthrow cities and nations with her beauty and, above all, she has incredible strength that had clearly surpassed all of theirs.

Who is that young man beside her?

How could he have turned that horrible monster from the past into a little celestial maiden as if she really came only from the heavens?

How could a little girl like her have amazing strength that easily surpassed them?

Thousands of questions and unknowns ran through the minds of everyone there, especially those who were there at the moment when they encountered Qing Sha and Ling Tian the second time they confronted each other. Even that other little girl beside him is just as cute and beautiful as Qing Sha, being aware that both little girls would become beauties in the future.

However, a small trace of fear crossed Qing Sha's little heart when Chen Qiande spoke and looked at her, making her remember the past when they wanted to hurt her; she couldn't help but squeeze her little hands on Ling Tian's hand, subconsciously getting closer to him.

Ling Tian sensed this and pulled Qing Sha closer, conveying warmth, love, trust and more to this little girl of his.

Chen Qiande of course noticed this and knew he was right; Qing Sha is clearly better off with these people.

"Q-Qing Sha, I've been a bad father... I don't even deserve to call myself a father..." Chen Qiande sighed sadly and spoke in a soft voice to Qing Sha, looking at her with a tender gaze, wishing her well, "And I don't mind if you hate me, but, don't hate your elder sister, she wasn't to blame for me forcing her to hate you. And don't ever forget your mother either. Be happy and live freely wherever you go..."

Chen Qiande's gaze shifted this time to Ling Tian and pleaded, "I know I am worthless in your eyes, honorable Immortal, but please take care of her and make her happy... give her all the love I never gave her and, if is necessary, you can take my life in exchange for taking care of her."

Chen Qiande walked bravely until he reached Chen Zeiwei and stood in front a few feet to Ling Tian, his gaze full of resolve, guilt, regret and more.

"Father..." Chen Zeiwei looked anxiously at her father.

"It's okay, my dear daughter." Chen Qiande shook his head and smiled at Chen Zeiwei, then he said, "If it is for the sake of your younger sister, then I will gladly offer my head. For you I would do it too, I would give my life for both of you...it's the least a father can do for his children..."

Chen Qiande looked with an expression full of guilt and regret at Qing Sha expressing forgiveness, before looking at Ling Tian and closing his eyes, waiting for what this young man in front of him would like to do to him.

Chen Qiande had reflected on his life and the only regret he had was about Qing Sha and his deceased wife. He did not even show any grudge or hatred to Ling Tian for cutting off his hand the previous time.

Ling Tian gazed indifferently at this man who is Qing Sha's father without caring about the words he had said in expressing regret and guilt. Although he is Qing Sha's biological father, he never cared for her and always tried to hurt her, therefore, he really does not deserve to be called Qing Sha's father; a real father or mother would always care and watch over their children regardless of their physiques, aptitudes, differences and more.

Yun Mengxin and the others also looked coldly and indifferently at Chen Qiande, knowing that this man is Qing Sha's father who always tried to harm and even kill her. Although this man was repenting, he would not easily change the fact of everything he had done in the past.

"I-I forgive y-you..."

The moment Ling Tian was about to say something, a slightly nervous little voice was instantly heard.
