91 A Spar

“Keep her somewhere safe.” General Ryan frowned.

“Don’t worry.”

Kyle walked to the side where there was a small room and put Kate on the table. “Stay here, ok?”

“Meow.”

Kate looked around curiously and it seemed that this was a ‘safe room’ that was dedicated for those who wanted to watch the training. After all, if there was anything wrong with the training, it could change everything.

Eh wait.

What are they doing here?

Kyle walked out of the small room and closed the door. He walked calmly to his father, who was still at the middle of the room. “Are you sure this place can withstand the impact.”

“Don’t worry, I already attacked the wall to test it before.” General Ryan looked at his son. “Are you ready?”

.....

“Mhm.”

Swish!

With a wave of Kyle’s hand, lightning shot out in the direction of General Ryan.

Bang!

It naturally missed.

White mist seemed to cover General Ryan as he appeared beside Kyle and kicked his own son without mercy.

Bang!

“Damn, your punch is getting heavier.”

Kyle then proceeded to punch.
Bang! Bang! Bang!

From the opening of ability showcase, the latter part was pure punching and kicking each other. Looking at the two of them who kept on using their fists and kicks to deliver attack, Kate was speechless.

She looked at the dent on the ground.

“Meow?” <Didn't General Ryan said that he had already tested the room? It seems this training room will still get destroyed if they continued to do this."

Watching the two of them fight, Kate was interested at first. After all, this was the first time she saw them fought like that.

But after a while, she got bored.

What was inside her thought was how would General Ryan fixed the room with so many dents on the ground. Thankfully, it didn’t seem to reach the lower level, that is if there was another underground room below.

*Yawn*

“Meow...”

Looking at the destruction caused by these two, Kate had the feeling that they wouldn’t stop anytime soon. Curling up her body to form a small furry ball, Kate proceeded to sleep peacefully.

...

Bang!

“Alright, that’s enough.” General Ryan waved his hand and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. “Tsk, you really didn’t hold back at all.”

“If I had hold back, you would be the one beating me up.” Kyle rubbed his cheek. He estimated that tomorrow he wouldn’t look that good. Tsk, it seemed that he wouldn’t go out tomorrow and just stayed in his study room then.

There was no point in showing his beaten up face.

Those soldiers would definitely provoke him and then he would proceed with giving them another beating.

Rather than provoking trouble, he would rather stay at home with his little cat.

“True enough.” General Ryan laughed heartily. “Oh right, when will you introduce me to your girlfriend.”

“Do you think there will be anyone who want to be with this demon?” Kyle asked back with a mocking tone.

General Ryan was stumped. “Nonsense! Didn’t you see those girls lining up to see you back then?”

“That’s before the incident where I was kicked out of the military.”

“There are still a lot of girls who want to see you.”

“They just fancied my wealth.” Kyle shook his head, uninterested with this topic. “If you’re itching to see someone’s girlfriend, go pester Jake. His girlfriend is in City C and the two of them seem to have been talking with webcam a lot.”

“Oh, youngsters always have a lot of things to talk about.” General Ryan had no interest in talking about other people’s love story. He would rather pester his own son so that he could have a grandchild.

Kyle didn’t bother with his father and entered the small room.

Seeing the little cat that was sleeping carelessly, Kyle felt really helpless. It seemed that this little cat was really not worried about him and could sleep peacefully when he was being beaten up by his old man.

Tsk, tsk.

This little cat seemed to always forget just who her owner is.

“Go have some rest.” General Ryan waved his hand. “I’ll call someone to clean up this place.”

Looking at the destruction he and his son caused, General Ryan felt troubled. He had to admit that he seemed to underestimated the effect that mutation caused for them. Aside from their already good physical strength, the mutation had increased their strength by another layer.

This increase didn’t seem to be that visible, but for people like them who had been practicing martial arts for a long time, the effect was very obvious. But how much the increase every rank was, they were also unclear.

General Ryan sighed.

There were too many things to do.

“Got it. Is my room still here?” Kyle asked. He hadn’t stayed in this place for a long time, so he wondered if his father had changed his room to a warehouse or something like that.

“Of course it’s still there! Get out of here, you rascal!”

“Ok, ok.”

Kyle ignored his father’s outburst and swaggered to the stairs and began to climb up in relaxed pace. His room was located on the second floor near the stair, so he opened it and entered.

The place was clean and looked like it was ready to be used at any time.

The corner of Kyle’s lips pursed.

‘You damn old man, you’re lying about not cleaning up this place.’

“Meow?” Kate stirred and looked at the new place. It was filled with Kyle’s smell and seemed to be pretty good.

“Just sleep, Little One.” Kyle took a pillow and put it on a low chair before putting Kate on top of the pillow. Afterwards, he pulled a thin blanket and covered Kate.

After he was satisfied, he headed to the washroom. He had to treat his injuries first.
