Chapter 43: Outside the City

“Hmm, what is it, Little Kitty?” Kyle noticed that the little cat seemed to be interested in their conversation that she forgot to sulk again. It was really like a little kid who have their interest change as fast as blinking one eyes.

“Meow.”

No matter how democratic their nation is, Kate knew that there were still order in the military. After all, military system was for them to follow their superior orders and never break it no matter what.

If they did, they will be punished.

That was why the training for new soldiers were usually hell because their superior will give them a lot of difficult to do tasks.

Not impossible.

But those were a hassle.

.....

Unless...

Jake’s father had high position in the military?

Really?
Kyle saw that the little cat tilted her head and then lowered her head as if she was contemplating something. This made him really want to laugh when he saw her because he understood very well that the cat was thinking.

Ah, there hasn’t been any boring days since he met with this unique cat.

He stretched his hand and easily pick up the little cat who was still thinking. This time, Kate didn’t even put up any resistant.

By the time she realized what happened, she was already in Kyle’s arm.

“Meow!”

Kyle laughed lightly. “Jake is coming from military background, but he himself didn’t want to become a soldier.”

He explained slowly and in a low voice. Seeing the little cat’s blue eyes were staring straight at him without moving, he could guess that she was listening attentively. Her action was truly like that of a human being.

This thought made Kyle sighed deeply.

“If you’re interested to know more, you can tell me.”

Kate tilted her furry head and contemplated a bit. She then looked in the direction of Jake before tapping her tail on Kyle’s arm twice.

This was the code they agreed upon a long time ago.

If it’s no, she tapped Kyle’s hand twice. If it’s yes, she tapped Kyle’s hand once. If she was not sure, tap thrice.

This time, it was two.

Kyle understood and rubbed Kate’s furry head carefully.

“Meow?”

Kate looked at Kyle resentfully before showing her back to him again. This made Kyle laughed once more because he understood that the little cat was sulking again because he was rubbing her head.

This cat is really cute.

Jake glanced at the back as they crossed the opened gate. After he showed his parent’s card, they had no other choice but to let them get out. No way, those people were simply too high ranking.

How could they not listen?

“Tsk, this made me want to have a cat too.”

“Different.”

“You’re saying that ordinary cats are different from Little Kitty?” Jake thought for a moment then sighed. “Then I guess I’ll just ask for my girlfriend to have daughter with me. She’ll definitely be cuter than a cat.”

“Marriage.”

Jake was speechless.

“Fine, fine, I’ll ask her hand for marriage first...” But Jake fell into dilemma. He was truthfully not sure that his girlfriend will agree for a marriage with him.

Oh well, he could just forget about this matter for now.

It was unlikely that he will see his girlfriend anytime soon.

It was then he noticed something else.
