Ch.164 Could it be a lover? (1)

Wen Lie waited until she shut the door tightly before walking to the place where she put down the white plastic bag. Looking inside, there seemed to be a paper cup inside as well as another bag with a fried dough stick inside.

Wen Lie, "..."

Overwhelming hunger suddenly poured out from his stomach. Clenching his feet, he wanted to turn around and leave. However, he was too hungry. He hadn't eaten anything for one whole day.

His dad said he was going to be punished because he almost caused his stepmother to fall down while they were moving. However, he didn't put that block of wood there. He knew that his stepmother had tripped on purpose.

Just like with her first child. She fell on purpose, causing the baby in her belly to be lost. His father hated him for that, and that hate deepened over time.

Why did he hate him so much? And if he hated him so much, then why have him? Why bring him back? And why keep him around?

And why should he be punished? He hadn't done anything. Are other children also forced to starve if they did something wrong?

Wen Lie's big eyes filled with tears, but he couldn't cry. Raising his sleeve, he wiped away his tears with great force.

Even if he cried, he had to say that he had done it on purpose. But he really didn't do it on purpose.

Wen Lie crouched down and stared seriously at the plastic bag. It was not known how long he stared at it for before he reached out to grab it. Then, after looking around and confirming that no one was there, he quickly carried the bag to school.

Xiao Yu stood on the second floor, watching his small figure as it ran off, not knowing whether what she had done was right or not. However, it was impossible for her to end a child's life with her own hands.

Not to mention, this was a parallel world where the events of the story have yet to happen. Not to mention, he was now nothing more than a naive child with absolutely no desire to kill. NOt to mention, if the protagonist aura did exist, then it seems her actions could only anger him.

If that was the case, then she will simply treat him as a child. If she treats him well, then even if he doesn't return the favor, then the least he can do is not attack the Ji family so simply, right? If my gift still can't stop the development of the plot, then we'll fight it out!

Wen Lie ran a long way with this bag of breakfast before slowing down at the security booth. The security guard inside even gave him a look. If he hadn't seen this child yesterday, then he would have thought it was an outsider who had run in. However, he still had to greet him, as was proper. Dressed in his white navy police uniform, the security guard looked even more like someone from a rich family than Wen Lie.

He saluted Wen Lie. "Be careful on the road."

Wen Lie nodded hastily before hiding outside under a tree. Then, he took out the breakfast that was no longer warm. Sweet soy milk and a crispy fried dough stick. With these two simple foods, Wen Lie got to fill his stomach that morning.

He was late during the first school period.

The second period was Teacher Yu's language class. The children were all waiting excitedly during the morning as they heard there was going to be a new transfer student today.

But the first period ended and that child didn't show up. For that reason, Teacher Yu made a call to ask about the situation.

During the second period, Teacher Yu came in to say that the child had arrived, so Ji Yu stretched her neck out to look outside. Then, she saw the familiar white and blue-striped school uniform and a somewhat old-looking school bag.

Ji Yu shouted, "It's that fierce big brother from next door!"

Wen Lie turned his head over to look at her. Oh, it's that woman's daughter!

Teacher Yu was obviously happy to know that Ji Yu knew Wen Lie, so she said happily, "Do you know him, Ji Yu? Wonderful. Why don't you sit with him, then? That will also allow Student Wen Lie to be able to adapt to our school's environment quicker."

Ji Yu, "...Ah? Oh...Okay then!"

Wen Lie, "..."

In the end, he couldn't escape the fate of becoming childhood friends. The wheels of destiny for these children still turned in the end.
