"Alexa we rarely get these two. Can we just enjoy today, without bringing anyone else between us?" He spoke in whispers. You're the one who always brings someone else, Alex, not me. I said nothing. There's no point in talking about it. I just have to hold out until the war is over to take the next step.

"All right, let's just go." I smiled awkwardly. I pushed his body back into his chair. He's caving, not pushing this time. Maybe this time he still feels guilty about last night.
