The Rest, Only Noise

Chapter 83: Under Celtic Glory (3/43)

The 76ers, who wanted to take out the Celtics in a crisp 4-1 round in the Garden, were hit like never before.

Trailing by 22 at halftime and 25 by three quarters.

Judging from the content of the game, it seems to be two levels of teams, but everyone knows that the gap between them is not that big.

Billy Cunningham was annoyed and disturbed.

No one wanted to beat the Celtics more than him, and it was the nightmare and shadow of his playing days.

"John Lang's outburst completely exceeded our expectations." Cunningham said with great puzzlement. "According to the information we have, he is not a player who is good at scoring from the mid-range."

It's hard to blame Cunningham, and he's right.

In the NBA, Long was not a good mid-range player, as his skill was locked up after his rookie season.

The Celtics don't need his midrange.

Fitch's system doesn't need an attacking guard who runs around the paint. Since his ability to hold the ball is unreliable in high-intensity matches, he can't act as a striker to supplement the team's offense. If it wasn't for Louis to take him to practice three-pointers, he might not even be able to play as a starter.

Long's three-point threat makes him a unique space point for the Celtics.

But he has never practiced three-pointers before, and he is learning from scratch, and he can't catch the ball and make three-pointers on the run like a future shooter.

He made just 33 open catch threes.

That was enough in the 80s.

As strong as Bird, a man who has left a legend in the three-point contest, the three-point shooting percentage in the first four years of his career was only 331.

In other words, Long's catch-and-threes are already top-notch relative to the rest of his contemporaries.

Long's outburst was too sudden, and the 76ers were unprepared to watch him make one mid-range shot after another, scoring 24 points, second only to Bird.

In the fourth quarter, Sampson danced in garbage time, playing as a point forward and scored 10 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.

Throughout the game, the Celtics' offense didn't give the 76ers any chance.

This is tactical targeted restraint and strategic victory.

All the goals that Louie set before making the game plan were not only accomplished, but most of them were over-achieved.

Cheeks is down

Andrew Toney shot below 45 and scored just 16 points

The Doctor was at a disadvantage in the matchup with Bird and Maxwell. Bird's data and scenes crushed him. Maxwell and him were inseparable, but a vicious mouth turned the Doctor into a ruffian. Rogue, how can this doctor, who has always been made a saint by the brokerage team, accept it?

His mentality evaporated in these things, the team was slaughtered, and he had a seemingly acceptable 21 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and seven turnovers that the Phillies ignored.

As the second place in the p-voting list this season, he was overwhelmed by Bird who scored 36 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks.

Sampson's restraint on Bobby Jones was a success, and the White Lightning failed to beat the stars tonight.

The strategy of impacting the 76ers' penalty area has also been a great success. Tonight is the only game in which the Celtics' penalty area score and efficiency are higher than those of the 76ers since the Celtics' five Eastern Conference finals.

Let the opponent achieve all the pre-game strategic goals, how can Philadelphia be unbeaten?

The only player the 76ers have honored for them is Lionel Hollins, who doesn't get much attention.

"Train" scored a team-high 23 points.

This is their only bright spot.

The Celts defended the gardens and once again showed the world their visceral pride.

Bill Russell said: "As long as you can maintain this tone, it will be difficult for the 76ers to beat them in the series!"

On the night of the fiasco, Cunningham tried to summarize, but he couldn't.

There are too many questions, how can I summarize it in a few minutes?

"Congratulations to the Celtics, but for us, this series is just the difference between winning tonight or tomorrow night," Boston Strangler Andrew Tony said.

His speech is the voice of the 76ers.

Just an inadvertent failure.

If so, congratulations to them indeed, they can sell tickets for one more game at home, and the owner must be very pleased with this.

76ers owner Katz is notoriously fond of basketball, and a basketball-loving owner should let him make money.

With a smile on Louis' face, he looked up above the garden.

There is glory.

It's the soul of this team.

Bill Fitch said he doesn't understand the glory of the Celtics, but he spends 41 nights a season commanding the team under that glory's jersey and flag.

Louie is also not able to fully understand "Celtic Glory", but he is standing here tonight, on a stage that is related to the survival of the team, and directed a game according to his own heart throughout the whole process.

He won!

"Is this enjoyable?"

With a rough voice, Louis instantly recognized the speaker.

Looking back, he saw Reed Auerbach smoking a Cuban cigar, the smoke slowly rising, creating a mysterious pressure.

At first, Louie felt pressure every time he saw Auerbach.

"I'm just," Louie searched for the feeling in his heart, "excited."

"You should be thrilled that you did something tonight that a 21-year-old kid can't do." Auerbach with a cigar~www.readwn.com~ But you did it, be proud of your performance, However, when you wake up tomorrow and it's a new day, you know it's not over yet. "

Louie walked into the tunnel, accompanied by Auerbach, and the sultry, fetid air was gone.

Louis was accustomed to the environment of the garden unknowingly.

He entered the locker room, Fitch had left, and the players were reliving the game.

"Bob Ryan said we were right every step of the way tonight, and he said we were going in the right direction," Louie said. "What is right? How can he be sure? He's just a mean reporter. , he doesn't know anything."

Everyone looked at Louie and everyone knew who the unsung hero of tonight's game was.

"I don't think there's a right direction on the field, because we and the Sixers are great teams. We have great talent, and you can bring endless possibilities to the game, and any one of those possibilities will make the game better." Off course! So, rather than a direction, we're after a fruit tree that grows the fruit of victory! All of us are obsessed with the taste of it and make a living from it! Our world can't hold any other garbage, for the sake of We have to keep going!"

"There will always be a day when we can no longer find the fruit of victory and starve to death, but I believe that this day will not be May 1."

The young Ralph Sampson responded to Louie as he called Fitch: "Yes, you are absolutely right, coach!"

Auerbach stood in the doorway, silent with a cigar in his mouth.

Who says a 21-year-old kid can't be a head coach?

There was a smile on the corner of his mouth, but more of it was hope for the future.

Auerbach didn't enter the dressing room, he handed the moment to Louie.

Louie took over the moment perfectly.
