The Rest, Only Noise

Chapter 37: Best defender of the year

"Mr. Inman, is there a shortage of scouts in Portland?" Louie looked like he wanted to change jobs. "I seem to be able to meet you anywhere."

"I'll take a look at all the guys who could be Blazers," Inman said casually.

In terms of the Blazers' draft quality, Inman doesn't seem to be that bad. He just happened to help the team draft the most notorious parallel draft pick of the 1970s, and a few years later allowed the Blazers to avoid the most important lottery ticket of all time - after all, it's just a waste of time for the team A No. 1 pick loses the next 4-10 championships, hundreds of millions of dollars in team appreciation and the opportunity to have the best player in history.

Really nothing.

If Louie is the owner of the Blazers, he'll probably find a killer to kill the old man at best. There will never be more extreme behavior.

"You seem to like Ronnie Lester very much," Louis asked.

It stands to reason that Inman should not answer that question.

But he believes Leicester are not among Celtic's targets and he is sure.

"Yes, I admire his temperament, which is very unique."

These words made Louis unable to help himself be humbled. Did he really not see the doorway? Is his way too shallow? Does this girl have any temperament?

Looking horizontally and vertically, they are all street goods that will leave the NBA within a few years.

"His aggression seems to be lacking." Since Inman likes him so much, Louie can't say anything, he can only pick out his smallest fault.

"Aggressive..."

Inman got a headache hearing the word, and let's be honest, who doesn't like an aggressive defender? But Blazers coach Dr. Frank Ramsey doesn't like aggressive guards.

He thinks the defender's self-motivation is too strong and it will get out of control.

And the guard is the brain of the team. If he loses control, wouldn't the whole team have to follow cerebral palsy?

"If you like aggressive guards, look at Andrew Toney SG at LU Lafayette.

Familiar!

Familiar!

Gan Lin is a bit familiar!

Familiarity is not the basis for Louie to find someone, because these familiar names may only be a substitute in his playing days, but he has only played under many coaches, so he became a coach after retiring. So their names can still be heard on the front lines after they retire.

However, whenever a familiar name is encountered, Louis will be the first.

"How is this man?" Louis asked.

Inman praised: "If you like aggressive defenders, you can't go wrong with him. This kid is full of wildness."

"Wild" is not a good word.

Especially when it's said in the tone of a scout.

"Thanks, I'll take the time to check it out," Louie said.

Louie booked a direct flight to southern Louisiana the next day.

Louie didn't quite believe his "familiar" reaction, but he did believe Inman.

The player that this old guy doesn't like is definitely not ordinary.

However, before the game started, he found that the competition area where Andrew Tony was located was very weak.

This is helpful for him to brush the data.

What's even worse is that although he is a full-time No. 2, he is only 1.91 meters tall.

Weak division, short No. 2.

Is it really just a brush in a weak division, playing in the NBA for many years as a substitute and then retiring as a coach before he feels familiar?

One of the advantages of playing in a weaker division is that Louie doesn't have to worry about other people, just focus on Tony's performance.

If there is a buried pearl, it is an accidental harvest.

After about 10 minutes, Louie's negative speculation about Tony began to fade.

He's fast, uncharacteristically fast, his ferocious explosiveness is completely unencumbered by non-tech sneakers, and no one on the court can stop him from breaking through.

Louie can't think of any guard in the league that can match his explosiveness.

Maybe David Thompson?

If Darrell Griffith is as hard as iron and can't play the game, Tony is another style.

He has the explosiveness of one step, but likes to humiliate opponents with his skills.

Almost every time he broke through, the way he attacked was different.

He plays with a killing mentality.

A few minutes before the second half, Tony swayed his opponent with a terrifying change of direction, and after hitting a two-point shot from an NBA three-point range, he gave his opponent a disdainful look.

He should have a line. Louie remembered a certain domestic CS GO anchor who he occasionally watched before crossing the road. Every time he played a wonderful operation, he would say disdainfully: "An ant!"

That arrogant face is not inconsistent with Tony.

Domineering, arrogant, contempt for everything, self-proclaimed invincible feeling.

Louie didn't watch and record as he did with Sampson.

He felt like he had discovered the best guard in the class of 1980.

The label of a weak division, a short No. 2 position and a fierce attacker is destined for his draft market to not be too high.

It's just that the team can listen to his opinion and choose Tony?

He doesn't have much confidence and can only write as much as he can about his strengths and charming game in his scouting report.

Louis has always believed that the nature of mind is greater than talent to some extent.

Especially when Tony's own talent is not bad, his first step, if not the first in the league, is the first few in the league. He is too honest. He reported his height with bare feet. If he had an explosive head in order to improve his market, and then reported his height with shoes, you would say that he is 2 meters tall... (a bit too much) who can deny it?

In this game, Tony scored 32 points, and for him, who averaged 26 points per game, it was a bit better than average.

A tabloid reporter asked him what he thought of his performance.

"I got 46 points the other day, so it's not a big deal. UU reading www.uukanshu.com" Tony finished, grinning again, so crazy that he wanted to hit him with something.

Louis went back to the hotel to sort out the information on hand.

Although it has only been half a month since he came out, he has more than 10 scouting reports in hand.

He needs to rewrite a Tony's scouting report to the highest level, to let management, especially Auerbach, know what he's seeing here, and, ideally, videotape of the game.

He stayed one more day for the video.

It took him a long time to find a video of his 46-point game against Monroe, Louisiana.

The journey is not over, and the talented Class of 1980 has many players to watch.

Louie decides to look around again, since he has nothing to do when he's back on the team anyway.

He went to North Carolina again, to watch the focus game - the University of North Carolina and Duke University game.

There are several heavyweight players in this match.

Any one of them is a pivotal presence in the NCAA, but after watching it, there are not too many surprises.

North Carolina's top card, **** forward Mike O'Koren is actually hard to match under his reputation, Duke's ace inside Mike Gminski (Mike GminskiC) is quite bright, but this inside line Kyle Special people already have.

Compared with a monster like Sampson, Auerbach is unlikely to have any interest in Gminsky.

It was North Carolina's up-and-coming James Worthy who gave Louis some intimacy.

He finally met a future star who was familiar and knew what the other party had achieved.

Louie handwritten down Worthy's scouting report, which was a windfall.
