Even if Tang Zhenying bought her a house, Tang Xi couldn’t move there immediately. So, she still has to go to school with Tang Jing.

Tang Zhao’s university is on a different route, so he has his own car. It was the family driver that usually send Tang Jing to school. An awkward silence filled the car since there was an extra person with them today.

Sitting on the left, Tang Xi was looking at the exercise book she took out from her backpack as soon as she got into the car. It seemed she didn’t have the slightest intention to start a conversation.

Tang Jing could only swallow her words back when she saw Tang Xi concentrating on her book. Sympathy and comfort flashed in her eyes when she saw the book title.

Her grades must not be that impressive if it took her that long to solve one question from such an easy book.

As expected, how could the educational resources of a small village school compare to the best school in Jiangnan City? Even if she ranked 1st in her old school, she could only be considered below average here. There is less than a year left for the college entrance examination. In such a short time, Tang Xi definitely won’t be able to make any groundbreaking improvements. At that time, her parents will understand that she, Tang Jing, is the only one who can bring glory to the Tang family.

Tang Xi ignored the looks from Tang Jing. She only looked up from her book when the driver drove through a crippled ghost at the intersection.

Ordinary ghosts would dissipate eventually if they don’t go to the netherworld to reincarnate. Even if they remained in the living world, they could hardly affect the living. The so-called “I won’t let you go even if I turned into a ghost.” was really just an empty threat. Unless there are special circumstances, it is extremely rare for a ghost to become powerful enough to take revenge on a living person.

Seeing that the car had already driven into the downtown area, Tang Jing finally spoke up, “There are very few students that transferred to No.1 High in year 3. If you don’t understand anything, you can come to Class 1 and ask me. Being in Class 9 is temporary. As long as you do well during the midterm exam, you can go to a better class based on your results.”

“Got it.” Tang Xi answered with a faint smile.

Tang Jing felt like she was punching into cotton. She inexplicably felt a sense of defeat. Tang Xi had been cold but polite from the time they first met so she couldn’t say that Tang Xi made things difficult for her. But Tang Xi’s indifference made Tang Jing feel like she was someone insignificant.

The way Tang Xi offhandedly shrug away all her attempts at showing off was really infuriating.

*****

The car stopped at the main entrance of No.1 High School.

Many students recognized the Tang family’s car, which had been chauffeuring Tang Jing for two years. So, everyone was surprised when two girls got out of the Cadillac Today.

Besides Tang Jing, there was an unfamiliar girl who was wearing their school uniform. The girl was really pretty. If she was a student from No.1 High and someone close to Tang Jing, there was no way they wouldn’t recognize her.

Tang Jing has always enjoyed having everyone’s eyes on her. She walked a few steps forward before recalling something. She turned back and questioned Tang Xi who was still focused on her book, “I thought you get car sick?”

How could a person with motion sickness not change her face after reading a book in the car!

Tang Xi was taken aback for a moment; she swiftly snapped her book off and walked to the flowerbed on the side of the road. She then pinched her throat and lowered her head to “vomit” twice. She then expressionlessly walked back and nodded at Tang Jing, “It’s already okay now.”

“…” the corners of Tang Jing’s mouth twitched. She stared at Tang Xi like she was looking at a lunatic.

Motion sickness? Can you be more perfunctory?!

“Jingjing, who is that? Your relative?” At this moment, a girl with a high ponytail ran over and hugged Tang Jing’s arm affectionately.

While Tang Jing was hesitating to answer her friend, Tang Xi had already strolled into the school. She asked someone once she got inside the building, “Classmate, how do I get to the headmaster’s office?”

“It’s at…” The male student closest to her answered halfway but heard her say “Thank you” before he finished speaking. Wasn’t she asking him?  The boy looked around bewilderedly; there was no one next to them and he didn’t hear anyone answering her. Who was she thanking?…

He confusedly stared at Tang Xi who walked away without looking back. The boy realized something after a few seconds; She’s actually going in the right direction!

That’s odd…

“Jingjing, your relative is so weird.” The girl with the ponytail complained.

Tang Jing didn’t want to explain, so she just smiled and pulled her towards their class.
