Tang Xi drew an exorcism array under her bed after making sure there are no other “dirty things” in her bedroom. Because she was used to sleeping on the hard wooden bed on the mountain, this soft and sweet-smelling mattress made her feel a bit uncomfortable. She felt better after sweeping down the dolls that were on the bed.

Tang Xi felt calm enough to start analyzing her situation a few moments later.

Tang Xi might not recognize the car logo but she can tell that it’s a very expensive car. What she was dissatisfied with, however, was that since the car could be driven in, why did they make her walk all the way from the gate with such a heavy bag before?!

The car door opened and two teenagers, a boy, and a girl in school uniform, came down laughing. The boy said something teasingly as they walked into the house, causing the girl to chase and beat him.

Tang Xi sneered. She thought Tang Zhao had a cold personality when she met him this afternoon. Turns out he just doesn’t want to talk to her.

She stopped looking outside. She took out a form from her schoolbag before going downstairs.

Tang Xi heard the laughter from the dining room when she reached the middle of the stairs.

On the long dining table, exquisite dishes were arranged. Tang Zhenying sat at the head of the table holding a tablet, looking at his company reports. The ghost on his back leaned forward and curiously stared at the tablet. Tang Jing joked and laughed in an affectionate demeanor with Yang Wenqiu next to her. From time to time, she would bicker with Tang Zhao who was sitting in front of her. Tang Zhan would then appease his younger brother and sister with a smile.

It was the picture of a loving family.

Tang Xi stopped looking and walked into the dining room. Suddenly, the laughter around the dining table stopped as if someone pressed a pause button on a recorder.

“Has Xixi rested? Come Sit.” Yang Wenqiu quickly reacted and called her over.

Beside her, Tang Jing was secretly sizing up this extra sister that came out of nowhere.

Although the girl in front of her looked a bit malnourished, she had an elegant posture. Every step she took seemed to be measured accurately and her action of pulling the chair and sitting down was like running clouds and flowing water (natural and smooth), which was very pleasing to the eye. No one would be able to tell that she grew up in a village or that she had no etiquette training. Tang Xi looked like a young miss that grew up in a wealthy family.

Tang Zhenying’s expression eased a little. He was afraid this daughter of his might have been raised poorly and cause embarrassment to his family.
