Neban stood on his feet, turning around to see who helped him, only to sneer when he saw that it was Angel. The said person walked near him, "What is with that sneer? I helped you didn't I?"

"I do not need your help," Neban responded before bending down to pick up Siren; he ignored his bleeding hands that had small pieces of glass on the back of them. Which was not an easy thing to do, because every time he moved them, left an uncomfortable feeling in its wake.

Angel rolled his eyes, "You let your hate for me cloud your judgment. Even if there is bad blood between us, I still saved you."

Neban's grip tightened on Siren as he was getting ready to say something when Lorka appeared in front of them with a broken arrow in his hand. "Ah, it is the human who shot me in the head last time. I cannot wait to feed on you too."

Then, even though Angel and Neban prepared for an attack, the man was still faster as he slammed his hands on their chests.

Neban and Angel flew out of the restaurant and landed against one of the cars that were outside. They both slid to the ground. Angel was groaning as he held his back while Neban did not make a sound.

"I thought I killed that fucker." Angel commented under his breath.

Lorka was already on them as Angel lifted a water wall, separating them from the man. Lorka slammed into the water wall, trying to get through.

Neban stood up, walking towards the wall while saying, "Open it."

Angel did without needing to be asked twice.

Once it was opened, Neban swiftly swung Siren, catching Lorka by surprise. The man was not expecting the move as Neban cut off his right hand. Lorka could not react to his missing hand when Neban was attacking again.

Lorka dodged the swing, picking up his leg as he kicked Neban in the stomach. As Neban was falling back into the car again, Angel was already attacking Lorka with his arrows.

Dodging the arrows, Lorka was getting ready to comment when Angel threw down his crossbow before rushing towards the man, throwing a punch.

Lorka grabbed the fist with his one hand, only for Angel to call for his water. His water surrounded the man's feet and legs, holding him in place. Lorka let go of Angel, trying to free himself.

He was getting ready to turn into bats when Neban came back into the picture, cutting off Lorka's other hand. The man's face turned to anger as he pushed himself forward with a lot of force, causing the water to fluctuate, showing that it was going to fall.

"Electrocute him," Neban told Angel.

Angel did without question.

When the electricity came with the water, Lorka started to scream as smoke began to emit from the man. A few seconds passed when the water and electricity disappeared while the man fell to the ground, unconscious.

Even though the burn marks on Lorka were terrible, they were already starting to heal. 'Get his heart.' Siren told him.

Neban walked near Lorka and dropped to his knees in front of the man as he used Siren to cut the man's chest open.

"What are you doing?" Angel asked as he looked on in disgust with the way Neban was cutting the monster's chest open.

Neban did not answer Angel out of spite because he still had a problem with him, even if the man helped him with Lorka.

Once the chest was open enough, Neban stuck his hand inside and ripped out Lorka's beating heart. He was getting ready to crush it because he still did not like the feeling of a beating heart in his hand when Siren stopped him.

'Wait! Stick my sword in his heart and let me drain the blood.' Siren interrupted.

'Why? You did not ask that with the other monster's heart.'

'Lorka is different.'

Neban hummed as he set the heart on the ground before stabbing Siren into it. Instantly, the heart was starting to lose color.

He stood up, dusting his knees off, even though he was spreading blood on his pants; good thing that his slacks were black. The only bad part was his green shirt, and his body had blood surrounding it.

Neban turned towards Angel, who was watching him in silence. "Don't you have somewhere to be? I am pretty sure there are other portals opened around here."

Angel was getting ready to say something when his phone pinged. He pulled it out to check it, reading the message he received. Once he finished, Angel looked up, "No, I do not; it seemed that the portals had closed. The other hunters are finishing off the monsters left behind."

"Then go there and help the others." Neban tried to dismiss the man. He did not want to see Angel's face longer than he had to.

Angel clicked his tongue, "I helped you, and you cannot even say 'thank you.' If I were not here, that monster would have sucked your blood dry."

"I had everything under control; I would have been fine."

Angel threw his hands in the air out of frustration, "Why the hell are you stubborn? I saved you twice and even helped you out, and all you can do is treat me like shit."

Neban grew angry as he glared at Angel, "Stop acting as if I owe you something. Saving me twice while helping me means nothing compared to what you did two years ago."

"Let it go away. The past is the past."

Neban let out a bitter laugh before snorting, "Let it go? Let it go? You and that dumb bitch kidnapped my son and almost killed him because you wanted to know everything about me while trying to get me into Wonderstone Company!"

Neban rarely cursed out loud, but he was furious. He wanted to pull Siren away from the heart and kill Angel where he stood. If the people did not need the man for what's to come, he would have done it already.

Angel's expression crossed as he replied, "Your son is still alive, isn't he? So, why are you still holding onto what happened."

Neban gave Angel a hard punch in his face. It did not leave him satisfied as he watched the man hit the ground with a broken nose that had blood flowing from it. He would only reach satisfaction when he kills Angel.

"I advise you to get from my sight, Angel, or I will not end with a punch," Neban said through gritted teeth. He hated how the man still got under his skin and made him lose control. But he could not stand Angel's response about his son like Theo still being alive made up for what he did in the first place.

Angel stood up, holding his nose as he looked at Neban, wanting to say something, but Neban stopped him with a look. So, the man turned around and walked away.

Neban ran his hands through his hair as he tried to calm himself. Now, all he wanted to do is leave, wash up, and go to his son.

As he turned towards Siren, getting ready to ask the weapon if they finished when a light shone in Siren's spot. Neban covered his eyes from the brightness, waiting for it to dull down.

When the light was gone, standing in the spot was the body of a seven-year-old. The child had long white hair touching the ground, but it could be because the person was sitting down. Their clothes were old grey rags while their body was skinny and small.

The child looked at their hands before cursing, "Damn, he was not enough to even take me to half of more powers. Now my appearance is that of a small child."

Neban looked on, not knowing how he should react as he confusedly called out, "Siren?"

The child looked at them, standing up as they stumbled for a second; they even stepped on their hair along the way. "Yes, it is me. I thought that Lorka would at least take me to a teenage form, not a child one."

Neban hummed, slowly nodding his head as he asked, "Can you still turn into a weapon?"

Siren was picking up their hair, twisting it before rolling it into a bun that looked a bit heavy for them. "Not right now. I need to get used to this form before turning back into a weapon."

"What am I supposed to say when I bring back a child with me?" Neban wondered because the situation did not seem ideal. Maybe, he should not have let Siren drink Lorka's heart.

Siren stomped their feet while crossing their arms like a petulant child, "I am not a child! I am older than all you humans combined! And you can say that you found a homeless child getting ready to get eaten by a monster, so you had to save them."

Neban wanted to laugh at Siren's reaction because it was that of a child's. And the explanation was not a bad one because Siren did look homeless. It was still a bit weird to take a child with him without going to someone who could deal with the problem.

Sighing, Neban thought he will have to go with it for now until Siren can turn back into a weapon, "Let's go then." He told Siren as he started to walk away from the area.
