Though Leo might have been wrong, hell hasn't seen her in so long but those emerald eyes and that face weren't so easy to forget. He couldn't possibly forget the face of the girl who constantly plagued his mind, his thoughts and made him lose his focus.

The woman from the bar was Becca and now, after all these years of waiting, she's finally here, right in front of him!

God, What has he done so right?!

Only a fool wouldn't see the golden opportunity presenting itself on a diamond platter and Leo wasn't a fool but an opportunist. He snatches the slightest opportunity that comes his way, every little opening he gets, and well, there she was, the girl who gave him his first heartbreak, the girl who left him without a word, not even a proper goodbye. She just disappeared without a trace and left him alone to suffer.

How cruel of her!

He highly doubted that she knew what she did or even remembered him as it had been a long time already and from the looks of things he wasn't as important to her as she was to him. Guess good looks can only get you so far and as he watched her now, all grown up, he felt his heart skip a beat.

" Shall we begin?" He asked and leaned back on his chair as he fought the grin that was threatening to break out on his face. He watched her get up from her chair and started explaining details about the project to the board members but he wasn't listening, he just kept on staring at her like she was his world.

' Ha! This would be fun' He said to himself, he would let the chase begin and make sure he enjoys every moment of it. Becca will be his no matter what and this time he would be ready to follow her to the deepest parts of hell if she tries to disappear like that again. She would be all his and nobody else's.

He looked down at her hands and saw them shaking as she took deep breaths to calm her nerves while she silently prayed that he wouldn't notice it but he did. How wouldn't he when his eyes were fixed on her the entire time?

After she finished talking and took back her seat, her eyes alongside those of the other people in the room stared in his direction, waiting for him to pass the final verdict. He looked at Becca and saw her nervously playing with her fingers which made him smile, she was worried that he would disapprove of the project and he thought she was cute for acting like that. Though the project plan was an excellent one, she still thought he wouldn't like it.

How could he possibly bring himself to disapprove of his woman's business proposal?

Good or bad, he would always support her.

" Where do I sign?" His voice broke the silence in the room and Becca's associates heaved a sigh of relief but Becca didn't, she still felt tense as the storm hadn't fully cleared.

" I'm sorry to waste any more of your time Mr. Kane but my vice president is currently stuck in traffic and she has all the verification paper that you need to sign. May I ask that you extend some patience and give us more time?" She politely requested and nervously bit her lower lip. She blinked twice while looking at him and Leo felt his heart melting at her cute gesture.

If it had been someone else, he would have walked out of the place already and then made the person go bankrupt for wasting his time. Unprofessionalism was never tolerated by him but then again this woman's case was the exact opposite, his time was hers to waste.

Then his single brain celled assistant spoke, totally interrupting the ogle session he was having on her. Why was everyone just so cruel to him?!

" How unprofessional?! First, you came here totally unprepared, and now you are asking president Kane to give you-" He wasn't able to finish his statement because Leo quickly cut him off before he said something completely stupid.

" How rude James, shame on you! Is that how you talk to a pretty lady?" He asked James then turned to Becca.

" Will you vice president be here soon?" He asked her and she nodded before saying; " Yes, she will" she answered.

" Hmm, then I don't see the problem in being patient, patience is a virtue, isn't it? So I guess I will wait." He said, trying to look like the saint that he wasn't in front of Becca while watching all his board members' eyes go wide with shock with some even choking on their saliva.

Leo's employees know who their boss was, a man who didn't even know the definition of patience, talk more of using it in his vocabulary and they couldn't hide their obvious surprise when they heard their boss talking about being patient. It was like he spoke in a language that was foreign to everyone on earth and their brains couldn't quite process it.

The rest of the meeting went as planned even though they had to wait thirty more minutes for Navaya to show up before getting the contract signed but things still went well as those glorious minutes were wisely invested by Leo into staring at Becca.

Becca would occasionally turn to find him intently staring at her but he didn't stop and just kept sending the intense gazes that she completely ignored. She knew he was staring at her and he also knew she was aware of his stares but kept doing it anyway, like he wanted her to know he was staring at her.

His eyes were like hot lasers piercing through her and it was making her feel uncomfortable.

'Could he look somewhere else? Why is he even looking at me like that?' she asked herself.

After they were done signing the contract, they shook hands and before leaving, Becca gave Leo a bright smile which made his heart melt into a puddle. She had grown into a beautiful woman, no longer the cute little girl he once knew. She had become even more breathtaking and he felt the room grew lonely when she left.

The room was now empty, as everyone had already left except him and it became silent.... lifeless, it reminded him of his lonely life. The meeting had been long over but he still sat on his chair, thinking. It all felt like a dream, one he didn't want to wake up from.

How cheesy it must sound, right?

He remembered everything clearly, the memory of the very first time he meet Becca was still very vivid in his mind like it all happened yesterday.. He closed his eyes and was instantly taken back to the day he first laid eyes on her, the day he met his beloved.
