The Mafia's Queen: Entangled With A Psycho.

Chapter 10 - Ten: Licensed Matchmaker

Leo finished consulting his assistant about the proposal the foreign clients were presenting, looking all professional like he was considering it.

This made the clients smirk victoriously, thinking their predictions were right of Leonardo Kane just being another spoiled American rich child, who didn't value money and could easily be duped but they couldn't have been more wrong.

How? Well for starters, Leo wasn't even American but of Spanish and Italian descent. He even had an Italian accent and the fact that they missed that proved their stupidity even. Secondly, Leo Kane might have been born to an extremely wealthy family with a platinum spoon literally in his mouth but there came a time that spoon was removed and he had to claw his way to the top. So now here he was, about to show those imbeciles why he was the mafia king.

Leo saw their smirks and smirked as well, he loved giving them false hope just to crush it later and he wasn't just raising their hopes but he was also clearing any trail of blood that would lead back to him because after tonight he didn't want anything connecting to them on him.

He would make sure of it as there was a big difference between killing with a clean crime scene and killing with a bloodbath. Even though Leo would have loved to kill those mongrels in the most gruesome way possible, he still was a very neat person, who hated unnecessary cases and their lives were nothing more than a nuisance to the world. So in his sick twisted way, he was helping the world by getting rid of its junk. He turned slightly to one of his bodyguards and gave him a signal, secretly giving him an order that he knew all too well.

'Finish them off and ditch their corpse'.

That had always been the order he gave to his bodyguards whenever someone thought they could mess with him and get away with it.

And just because he wasn't with his favorite gun didn't mean he would let them go free. Of course not, he rather hands them over to his bodyguards to do whatever they saw fit to them and have all the fun.

Now that it was settled who would take out the trash later, he decided to go back to the most important thing he did all night which was staring at his beautiful distraction. His eyes instantly flew to her seat but she wasn't there anymore but instead sitting next to her friend and facing another direction again!

Like when would she ever be facing his way!

Either way, he still kept staring at her and noticed her friend looking his way again.

' Go on little girl, make your pretty friend look over here.' He said to her with his eyes and it seemed she got the message and nudged Becca with her elbow.

*******************

Becca kept looking elsewhere, pretending she didn't want to keep looking at the heavenly sculpted man in the upper lounge but she could only lie to herself because he had looks that would make you stop him on the road to check if he was even human.

He probably wasn't because it was unhealthy to be that hot. She was still thinking about random things when she felt Navaya nudge her a little.

" Looks like you won't have to go there, after all, look." She said, dragging both Becca's attention and eyes back to the upper lounge.

Becca froze when she saw the abnormally handsome man's eyes fixed on nobody but her, staring her way with an unfaltering intense gaze that was more than capable of boring holes through a wall!

They were now having a face-off, it was a freaking staring contest and none of them blinked or even remember to. Navaya's eyes went from her bestie to Mr hot stuff and back, not wanting to intrude on whatever they had going on. Silently screaming 'hallelujah' in her head.

Damnit! she couldn't have been more proud of herself. She was ecstatic, It was an instant hit, just like that. She might as well just become a licensed matchmaker since she seemed good at it.

Leo, on the other hand, felt the angels in heaven smiling at him from above. She finally turned to look in his direction after he had been waiting for ages ( by ages, I mean minutes) and their eyes locked, literally locked, with a padlock even and only God had the power to break off their death staring contest.

Leo felt his soul leave his body and his heart rate drastically accelerating. Time practically froze, with everything around him slowly fading away leaving just her. She was immaculately beautiful, the dim light didn't let him see her facial features properly but it was safe to say that she was drop dead. Like Woah! And just as fast as it came, it left and she averted her gaze.

'why?!! Why would she just look away? Couldn't she see that he wasn't done staring at her face? wasn't he worthy of being stared at? Was he bad looking?' He rained complaints in his head. That's it! He has had enough of this! He looked at the future corpses that call themselves clients and stood up then flashed them a smile that made him look no less than a predator before saying; " I have to go. Since you don't know your way around the city, please let my bodyguards take you back to your hotel. I promise they would take good care of you." Leo wasn't in the right state of mind to handle them anymore, the worst part was that he felt like his soul hadn't fully returned to him yet. Not that he blamed it, he also wouldn't like to return if he were his soul, instead, he would go in the direction of the woman who forcefully snatched it away.

With a small wave of his hand, the ten bodyguards he had up there with him stood up straighter. He looked over to where Becca sat but she still wasn't looking at him. Feeling annoyed, he strode out for the VIP section with six bodyguards trailing closely behind him, leaving four of his bodyguards with the clients without even throwing them a second glance.

As he approached the lower lounge, some more people wearing all-black suits stood up and joined the group of guards that were already following him.

One would wonder why someone would have so many bodyguards? They were just a few of his most highly trained men, some were professional assassins. Leo didn't like taking this many men around him, he usually didn't. He only did because he was coming here and no matter how fancy this place looked, it was still a club and nasty shit normally goes down in clubs. He knew this because he owned one and being one of the top mafia bosses in the country, whose head was currently worth billions on the black market, he couldn't take chances.

Leo closed in on the woman who stole his soul with just one stare, she was sitting about ten feet away and he started contemplating whether to walk up to her or not. He was about to move closer but stopped in his tracks and frowned at what just happened in front of him.

Leo saw a man that wasn't him hugging her, well even though the man did hug both ladies and only hugged Becca for about two seconds, he still didn't like it. He felt utterly displeased and the already very visible scowl on his face made itself even more prominent.

How dare that man touch her? There seemed to be no sense of respect for ownership in this world we live in. Did he have to write his name on her?

Leo hated people touching what belonged to him and with that thought, Leo started glaring at Ace like a wounded lion. He then decided against approaching her here, it wasn't his style. He would get hold of her but not here, it was too crowded for him. It was as if they both had the same way they liked approaching people.. In private.
