32 – Messiah Club

After dinner, we return to the academy. Together, we filled out the club application.

Is it fun to create a new club instead of joining an existing club? Aria and Kane chatted nonstop, while Lacar and Luna stood by to help fill out the application form.

After completing the club application form, let’s head straight to the principal’s office. I saw someone opening the door to the principal’s office and coming out, shouting in an angry voice.

A middle-aged man with platinum hair, leaving the principal’s office, glanced at us and passed us silently, frowning.

Aria grumbled at that appearance, saying that she would see all the strange people.

Let’s knock on the door of the principal’s office. As if waiting, the door opened.

Perhaps I was going to wait outside, the members of the staff cheered me on as I entered the principal’s office.

“Good job, Ross!”

“Fighting! Do well!”

You don’t need support just to submit an application, but you don’t need to break the atmosphere with useless words. He smiled and nodded his head.

“Ross, long time no see.”

Seeing Nelson’s tired expression today, I quickly held out the application form I was holding.

“This is a club application.”

My words erased the tiredness from his face, and Nelson, who received the application form with a smile, read it slowly.

“I guess you made some good friends in this practice?”

I nodded to Nelson who asked with a smile.

“Yes, thanks to the practice, I made some very good friends.”

Without having to hide your heart, let’s smile with sincerity. Nelson put the application in the drawer with a satisfied smile.

“As I said beforehand, there will be no restrictions on club activities as long as you follow the school rules. Of course, you need my permission to go out.”

“Yes, I understand.”

Looking for something in the drawer on the other side, Nelson found a slightly worn-out key and handed it to me.

“The club room was assigned to the 2nd basement floor of the main building. You will be able to build good memories. Be careful not to forget the key.”

As I carefully accepted the key, Nelson smiled mischievously.

“Although I am the professor in charge, I have no intention of entering the club room unless there is a special reason. So, how to decorate the club room is entirely up to you as the manager.”

I didn’t even think I would get a club room, so I thought I should seriously think about club activities.

“Go to the club room with the members. I have a little present for you.”

At those words, I lowered my head with a thrilled expression. Principal Nelson was also the best teacher. He walked out of the principal’s office, feeling grateful for the great help he had provided.

Let’s get out of the principal’s office. As if they had been waiting, the members of the group who had been hiding by the corridor approached.

“Ross, are you the manager now?”

Lakar said that and smiled, so I showed Nelson the key he had given me.

“Yes, I also got the key to the club room. Principal Nelson has prepared a present for us. Shall we go together?”

Arya must have been surprised by those words, and she let out a high-pitched scream.

“Nell, Principal Nelson gave me a present… ?!”

Arya, who was saying that with her shocked face, suddenly came closer to me and she whispered.

“Ross… Actually, he’s not the headmaster’s hidden child, or a relative… ?”

Seeing Aria asking seriously, her playfulness turned and she shrugged her shoulders and threw a joke.

“Tell me to do better in the future.”

He seems to have taken her joke seriously. The talk ended with Kane slapping Arya in the back of the head at Aria’s burdensome gaze that made her eyes shine.

“Okay, stop kidding. Shall we go to the club room together?”

Apart from Arya and Kane, who punched each other at my words, Lakar and Luna nodded.

Let’s all go down to the 2nd basement floor of the main building. Arya and Kane, who had been arguing until they came down the stairs, chatted in good breath as if they had never done that.

“Oh my God, the club room is the main building… !”

“Extreme perks… ! If this is enough, it might not be a child, but a hidden lover… !”

Wandering through the hallways on the second basement floor, I looked for the club room we were assigned to, but I couldn’t find it.

“Well, as long as the head office is right, manager?”

As Kane looked at her with her doubting eyes, Arya nodded beside her.

“Sure. I said it was on the second basement floor of the main building….”

“Ah, maybe it’s at the end of the hallway over there?”

At Lakar’s words, we headed to the end of the hallway. There was a door with a sign that said -Messiah club room- which we were looking for.

“It’s such a nook… ?”

As if a little disappointed, Arya, who had lost her momentum, pouted her lips and said.

“Since it is the main building, the club rooms are very small….”

Kane glanced at me and said as if comforting.

Since it was structurally located in a corner of the hallway, I doubted whether all the members could fit in, but I hoped that I hadn’t checked inside yet.

Let’s open the door with the key given by Nelson and enter….

Unexpectedly, a club room larger than the classroom welcomed us.

“What, what is this!”

Aria, who runs wild and wanders around the club room, as if she had fainted, and next to her, “Isn’t it a dream? Is this a dream?”

“Wow, manager. To receive a club room like this…. Also great.”

As if satisfying my expectations, La Carr nodded his head and raised his thumb.

“Um, that’s amazing….”

Her shoulders were strained at the sight of Luna looking around her club room with her mouth slightly open with her surprised expression.

Maybe it was originally used for a training camp, a clean bed and sofa for all the members to lie down, and a table with various things on it. A portable blackboard, a large fluffy chair that Aria wanted so much, and a soft carpet on the floor.

There was a huge closet and animated paintings on the wall, and the warm sunlight and colorful flower petals fluttered beautifully on the ceiling.

“The space expansion magic and the carpet even prevent noise…. Even if I only saw it with my own eyes, there are more than 10 magics implemented in this room… !”

Making a fuss about her, Aria, her eyes shining, picked up a book from the bookshelf near her and began to read.

“Yeon, there is a research station!”

Approaching one of the tables attached to her wall, Kane was surprised, and she immediately started tidying up, perhaps thinking of making it her own table.

“Hey, there’s more space behind the pillars here… ! There is even a kitchen and bathroom!”

Seeing Luna speak in a louder voice than usual as if she were happy, I felt a sense of satisfaction for some reason.

The members exclaimed as they looked around the club room with curious eyes, like children who came to a museum to play.

“Is this a gift? What a gift….”

Lacquard usually has a calm voice, but today, like the other members, his voice was full of surprise and joy.

As Lakar said, it was hard to believe that it was a club room created by first-year students. It was a great club room that was comparable to other clubs with several times the number of members.

“Okay, when everyone is done watching, take a seat.”

I think I’ve been watching to some extent. Let’s call the members together. Like kindergarteners instructed by their teacher, the members who had been scattering around to watch rushed to the scene, sat on soft chairs, and their eyes lit up.

Everyone seemed to have high expectations for the club room, which was better than expected.

“I can’t stand still when Principal Nelson gave me such a nice present. Let’s work hard for club activities.”

Everyone nodded at my words and sent enthusiastic glances.

I thought about what to do first when I was thinking of doing a club activity that wasn’t planned. Bringing a portable blackboard and organizing my thoughts, I took a piece of chalk and wrote it in large letters on the blackboard.

-Find the treasure hidden in the academy-

“Treasure Hunt?!”

Seeing the writing on the blackboard, Arya jumped up from her seat with something burning in her eyes.

“Wow, calm down and listen first.”

At my words, Aria immediately sat down and looked at me with burdensome eyes.

“The first activity that our messiah club will officially do is the ‘treasure hunt’.”

Shortly after she finished speaking, Arya raised her hand and asked.

“What! What is the treasure! No way, something like an artifact that Principal Nelson cherishes… ?!”

Seeing Aria talking to herself and being surprised by herself, I immediately denied it for fear of misunderstanding.

“No, it’s not like that.”

Ignoring Aria’s lips pouting out in disappointment, she looked at her members.

Actually, it was not a treasure hunt, but a search for unclean artifacts that might have been left at the academy by a follower of the demon king.

If you think about it, you don’t have to look for it alone, and it’s also a club activity. It was an impromptu plan because I thought it would be easy to finish with the help of the members.

I can’t talk about the demon king’s followers, so I explained with a mixture of truth and lies.

“You all remember the last Warlock Academy raid, right?”

“Of course I remember.”

Let Lakar answer. The members all nodded their heads in unison.

“During the raid, the warlock must have dropped an artifact somewhere in the academy.”

“What?!”

Suddenly Kane cried out and stood up from her seat.

“Then you should tell the guards to find the artifact right away! What if a student like us touches you and gets hurt!”

I hurriedly defended myself, swallowing dry saliva at Kane’s sharp point.

“No, it’s not certain that the artifact was dropped, it’s just a guess. That’s why the headmaster didn’t make it big and gave us a simple search. Just find the artifact, and the professors will take care of it.”

At my excuse, Kane and her staff nodded, as if they understood.

Kane, who was making a fuss, sat down. I drew a simple map of the academy on the blackboard.

“What do you think about dividing the academy into districts and searching among members?”

“Okay, I’m good at treasure hunting!”

Arya smiled ominously, her eyes shining.

“Do you know what it looks like?”

I shook my head at Lakar’s question. Actually, I’ve never described it in a novel, so I don’t know what it looks like.

“Wouldn’t it just look like a warlock? Because it’s more likely that there isn’t. You don’t have to feel pressured to find it.”

After saying that, everyone nodded to see if they understood.

“Then Kane, Lacard, and Luna take care of the basement of the main building. Focus on the window frame or the back of the door, where no human touch or gaze can reach.”

As each person was assigning a search area, a knocking sound was suddenly heard.

Smart tok tok-

Lakar got up and opened the door, but no one was found who knocked.

“What… ?”

When Lakar was confused, Luna suddenly shouted in a startled voice.

“Under, under… !”

When everyone looked down at Lakar at Luna’s words, there was a raccoon holding a box.

“Do, thief raccoon?!”

At Kane’s cry, the raccoon quickly shook his head and lifted the box.

“Are you asking me to take it… ?”

As Lakar carefully accepted the box, the mission was complete. The raccoon disappeared with a clattering footstep.

Close the door and take the box, put it on the table and open the box in front of everyone.

In the box were badges with each person’s name and the name of the Messiah club. Lakar handed out the badges according to their names and handed me the piece of paper at the bottom of the box.

– If you wear a badge, you can enter and exit anywhere in the school, and you can even borrow books from the forbidden book zone. Don’t expect me to have an accident that gives me trouble. Nelson –

As I read aloud a piece of paper written by Nelson so that the members could hear it, I once again felt deep gratitude to Nelson in my heart.

After Roel, the person who made me feel the warmest warmth in this world was Nelson.

“Wow, great. With the magic imprinted on this badge, you can break through the grade limit in the Forbidden Books Zone… !”

Aria looked at the badge with a slightly strange look, and I felt uneasy and said.

“Don’t try to open it to check what’s inside and then break it. Handle it with care.”

As if she had come to her senses from my warning, Arya smiled heheheh with a stupid expression on her face.

Let’s put badges on our chests together. I had a strange feeling that it felt like a real club life had begun.

As if I was the only one who thought so, the members looked at each other and smiled silently.

“Now then, shall we start the Messiah club activities?”

As we clapped our hands and spoke, everyone rose from their seats and raised their fists high into the sky.

“Go out! Treasure! Treasure!”

“If you find it, there will be a reward, right? This time, there is a separate alchemy lab in the club room….”

“Everyone is nervous. It’s a black magician’s thing.”

“Yeol, I’ll try my best to find it!”

Even if I tried to endure the various reactions of the members, I couldn’t help but raise the corners of my mouth.
