Ye Xing nodded politely and brought her the information that night.

After Ye Xing left for a while, Feng Sujin laid in her bed, staring at the ceiling blankly. Her phone suddenly rang and her hand trembled slightly when she saw the call was from Jun Mohan. 

She stared at it for a while but eventually picked up. 

“Hello, Mr. Jun.” 

Upon hearing Feng Sujin’s voice, a gentle voice came from the other side, “Still awake?” 

“Yes.”

“Felt wronged today?” 

Feng Sujin’s heart trembled after hearing his concern, “Mr. Jun, you… knew?” 

“Mhm. Ye Xing wanted to investigate deeper into Liu Shiya so of course I knew. Liu Shiya isn’t good enough to make you feel upset. Have a good sleep tonight, it will begin to take shape after a while.” 

Feng Sujin’s heart was warm and touched, so she asked freely, “Mr. Jun, why are you helping me?” 

“We have a marriage certificate, you are my lawful wife and I won’t let anyone bully you. I’ve said this before; I will be a good husband.” His words were simple but it showed his protecting and imperious personality. 

“Thank you, Mr. Jun.” 

“If you want to thank me, take care of yourself well. I’ll be back in a few days.” 

“Mhm.”

After hanging up, Feng Sujin still stared into space but she obviously felt better as her lips curved upwards. Without knowing why, she suddenly looked forward to his return. Perhaps it’s really nice to have someone by her side; she won’t be alone anymore. She has a family, with someone to protect her.
