38 – {First Lesson} 2

{First Lesson}

Yuria wondered what she thought of Theodore.

He was her own fiancé, and the way he treated himself changed.

‘Of course, I’m still an unlucky and proud person.’

When she had such a question, she couldn’t take long to think about it.

It was because the students had already gathered enough to fill the lecture hall, and then they sat down and saw a man who appeared to be a professor enter.

“Nice to meet you all today. My name is Benjamin Disston.”

The man who came in introduced himself.

She was a middle-aged woman with a strong impression, and even Yuria had heard of that professor’s name.

To be precise, it was because she was a famous swordsman who worked as a professor in the swordsmanship department at the academy of the Britannian Empire.

‘Benjamin Disston. I heard that he was once a member of the Royal Knights of the Britannian Empire, and was a swordsman who boasted outstanding skills there as well.’

Academy students who purely walk the path of a swordsman might be excited and excited about being taught by such an outstanding swordsman.

However, Yuria felt surprisingly calm.

If she is an excellent swordsman, she was invited by the Arcane Empire to learn swordsmanship from her childhood.

However, if she is an excellent swordsman, she is more likely to teach well, but just because she is an excellent swordsman does not necessarily mean that she will teach well.

From the time she turned 15, she was still immature, and there were many more people who had her desires, and there were many tricks that tried to seduce her in some way, but Yuria did all of that. I flatly refused.

Even though she was the eldest daughter of the Duke of Arsane, she couldn’t act rashly, but she secretly showed her intention to approach her in the name of teaching her her sword. It drew a line.

Since she was the princess of the Duke of Arsene, she couldn’t be approached strongly, so she could easily rule out the opposite sex just by drawing the line between her and everyone around her.

‘There is no one like Prince Theodore who teaches well.’

Plus, when she felt it, Theodore seemed to be much better than her professor over there, Benjamin Deeds Stern.

“Today just happened to be two international students from J-Ha Academy! And one was absent today as well.”

It was obvious to Yuria who the absent person was.

In this classroom, she was supposed to show up, but who was the one who didn’t show up, but even thinking about it, she could tell.

‘William Artin.’

The second-year student at Minst Academy’s swordsmanship department, he hadn’t been seen.

From what Professor Benjamin said, it seemed that he was often absent from school even in normal times.

Considering his conduct, this was not surprising.

‘I’m not the chief, but I’m lazy.’

Yuria felt even more repulsive at the part that William Artin got second place without much effort thanks to her innate talent.

From noble mtl dot com

Number of people with dreams of being a prosecutor are putting in effort, but with their innate talent, they don’t put much effort into it, easily occupying the second seat and being lazy.

If at least he was the chief, he would have understood.

It wasn’t that she was too good to learn, that she wasn’t even at the top of her grade, but it seemed that she wasn’t the only one who hated William’s laziness and humiliation of the prosecutors’ efforts.

As evidence of this, it was not difficult to find the expressions of the students who seemed displeased when William was mentioned.

“I don’t think international students like to talk at length, do they? Theodore Skyroad and Yuria Arsane.”

Theodore nodded as he sat down.

“That’s right.”

Yuria also nodded her head slightly.

She also didn’t like long conversations about pointless things.

The only exception to that part was her friend Ashley, but that was only allowed because of her friendship and gratitude to her for coming to herself and being her best friend.

“Then let’s go straight to the skill test. Theodore Skylord, you’ve already proven yourself to some extent. Who are you going to compete with? Nominate anyone.”

For the students of the Faculty of Swordsmanship, the important thing was not their status.

The discipline inside the academy is being disturbed because of the madman named William, but it was clear what the Britannian Empire’s Minst Academy values most.

‘It’s skill.’

Skills right away! It was only skill.

It was to point out the right person and fight a duel to prove how much one’s skills were from this lecture room.

“Hmm, can I nominate?”

“Yes. You can nominate anyone here. If you want to know the ranking, I can let you know.”

Professor Benjamin said that he was considerate of Theodore, an international student, in case he did not know who had what level of ability. However, Yuria thought that his consideration was useless.

‘Prince Theodore would know who is strong and who is weak.’

And none of the students would be able to match him.

He was an unlucky and proud genius who combined talent with effort beyond William.

“Anyone can nominate! Then, my opponent here will go after my fiancée Yuria Arsane nominates first.”

Theodore stood up from his seat and spoke openly, placing his hand on Yuria’s shoulder next to him.

“Hoo?”

Professor Benjamin, realizing that his arrogant attitude was self-confidence, gave him an interesting look. He has a face similar to William Artin and has an arrogant attitude, but unlike him, who is just an idiot, he felt firm confidence in his skills, so Yuria thought that it must have stimulated his interest as a swordsman.

‘It would be nice if you could take your hand off your shoulder.’

I was slowly becoming annoyed at his condition of constantly criticizing his skinship.

But if someone asked if he said no, he couldn’t say yes.

That’s why Yuria tried her best to pretend that nothing was wrong while slowly standing up from her seat.

‘Owen Lawrence, the head of the 2nd year swordsmanship department.’

The opponent she wants to challenge has already been decided.

That’s when she challenged Owen Lawrence, the current head of the sophomore swordsmanship department, and knocked him out.

By doing so, she was to prove her skills.

There was one problem, though, that the one she was wearing was a school uniform skirt.

If you move vigorously, there will be a risk of revealing the inside of your skirt, so your movements will be limited, and if you fight while worrying that the inside of your skirt will be visible, you will not be able to demonstrate half of your skills.

“You have great confidence, Theodore Skylord.”

“I know for sure that not everyone here is my opponent anyway.”

If it had not been for the incident in the morning, someone who challenged him might have come out openly.

She was so arrogant that at least one person would ask to see her skills, but no one stepped forward.

It was because Theodore’s skills shown in the morning were so shocking.

The level of swordsmanship was not properly shown, but it was said that magic had reached the level of a great wizard, and that Jade, the 4th year senior, was defeated in a miserable manner, and that swordsmanship might be at that level.

“That said, Owen. What do you think?”

Professor Benjamin’s question turned to Owen Lawrence this time.

Owen Lawrence, who was sitting in the middle seat, was a sturdy boy with wild brown hair, and unlike the other students, he was watching Theodore’s horse with interest.

‘The chief looks interested.’

Yuria recognized right away that Owen Lawrence, the head of the 2nd year swordsmanship department, was showing interest and a warlike gaze at Theodore’s remarks, unlike the other students.

At least, it was clear that he was also the type who was passionate about swordsmanship.

“You must be incredibly strong. I want to try it. Hey! Did you say Theodore? If you’re that confident, would you like to fight me?”

Theodore shook his head at Owen who said that.

“No, you’re not my opponent. I’m so good that I might feel sorry for you if I deal with you, but I have a fixed person to deal with.”

Theodore said to Yuria.

“Princess Yuria, the seat is ready. Now you can do what you want to do.”

At Theodore’s words, everyone’s eyes turned to her.

“Yuria Arsane?”

“Damn it, I can’t see it from here.”

“Letting her fiancé do it?”

Yuria let out a sigh.

“Haa! Suddenly, it looks like you provoked me too!”

Yuria stood up from her seat and sighed.

As she rose from her seat, she could hear the gasps of many who saw her appearance.

These reactions were familiar and common to YuRia, so she didn’t care.

Yuria, rather than him, showed her interest in how Theodore reacted to her own protests.

“I’m sorry about that. So you’re not going to fight with the second year chief?”

“No. I have to.”

Yuria shook her head.

She was a little surprised that Theodore had apologized to her, but she didn’t express it as many of her eyes looked at her.

And most of all, her eyes were burning with fighting spirit that the opportunity had come right from her first day.

“To be able to prove your skills right from the first class. There’s no way you can miss it, right?”

However, unlike the burning passion burning deep in the heart, there was a problem in implementing the sparring right away.

“For a moment… I need to change into clothes that are easy to move in.”

To Yuria, the existence of a skirt today was truly cursed.
