The Abandoned Hunter

Chapter 25: The Exit - Part 2

"Amazing, he is no normal hunter. At such an young age he can already detect a S-Rank illusion spell?"

Dun Young smirked a little.

"So somehow we need to bring the snake out again. Since it is hiding in sands it will be difficult to kill it."

Jay had completely immersed himself in the thought of killing the three headed snake.

Dun Young didn't do anything. In fact he didn't want to do anything. He just wanted to see how Jay would overcome this and hunt the great snake.

"Why don't we use supersonic sound sir hunter?"

Dun pretended to be weak and suggested Jay to use supersonic when he found that Jay was unrest about the snake.

"Th-that's a brilliant idea. I had already thought about it but the thing is I don't have any skill that allows me to use supersonic sound."

Indeed it was true since all the skills that he had was support type or scout type.

None of his skills could be used to attack or defend himself in dire situation.

"Hmm, then maybe I should..."

Dun wanted to say that he could have helped but before he could lend out a hand Jay suddenly shouted and said, "Bait!!!"

"Bait? You mean you want to put a Bait in front of the snake and then force it to come out?"

Dun was surprised by Jay's quick thinking. He was glad that he was not needed to support him.

"If I'm not wrong, the snake must be a predator who would fed on most of other beasts here, so we just need to kill another beast and then Bait the snake."

Jay laughed a little. Then he immediately turned towards Dun.

He slowly approached Dun and said, "Don't worry, we will exit this place for sure."

Since Dun was born, no one had ever cared about him. He was exceptionally talented in all and was perfect in whatever he did. So all they did was just have expectations from him but there was no one who worried about him.

Even if Jay had realised that Dun was an S-Rank Hunter, he was still worried about him since he too was a human. So it just came naturally, he had neither pretended to be worried nor just showed it as a bluff.

"Hmm, I need to go and hunt a beast before that. Do you want to come with me?"

"Well, I really want to see how this kid will fight, but I don't want to go too far. Let's just wait here."

Dun thought for sometime.

Then he replied to Jay by saying, "It's okay, the snake hasn't come out since long and it seems like it won't attack this area for some reason. Maybe this is like a safe spot so I'll just rest here, you go."

For some reason Jay was dissatisfied with Dun's reply. Jay really wanted Dun to come with him because Jay was significantly weak. The only thing he could do was either set some trap and hunt or just be chased by the beasts.

"Okay, I'll be back soon."

After saying this Jay hurried towards the forest that was just ahead of them at a distance of about 700 metres.
