The moment he used them, his eyes became a little red just like earlier.

He could perceive everything faster due to which everything around him appeared slow.

More than that, he could look at the movements easily despite the fact that Arcane was stronger than him.

'Alright, it's good so far…', at least that's what he had thought when suddenly Arcane's sword his hand.

"Argh."

It ended up cutting a bit and leaving a wound.

Jay started to bleed and the moment the demons saw that they were surprised.

"Interesting…"

"The so-called Dark Overlord can bleed?"

The reason why most of the strongest demons respected the Dark Overlord was because he was untouchable.

His skills couldn't be measured and no one could even leave a single wound on his body.

It was quite unnatural to see him bleed after all bleeding was just the sight of weakness – this was what the demons thought and had been believing for ages.

'Damn…'

Also, the sword was called the blood sword for a reason – it could actually grow stronger as it got drenched with the blood.

It was clearly visible from the fact that Arcane's sword grew in length right after coming in contact with Jay's blood.

"Oh my, looks like my sword needs more blood!", Arcane said with a smile.

'This is the first time it has shown such interest in drinking the blood…'

'This is pretty weird…', was what Arcane said himself.

He understood right away that there was definitely something that caused the sword to behave in such a way.

One could listen to the blood sword's voice, well, if it was the Blood Overlord's apostle then he could most definitely hear the voice from the sword.

Since Jay wasn't an apostle of the Blood Overlord, he couldn't hear something like that.

Whatever, it was good that the sword wasn't talking to him since he would have freaked out if he had heard.

Also, he wasn't interested in anything of that sort

'I need to concentrate…', he decided and rushed forward to attack Arcane.

He vanished from the place where he was standing and appeared right in front of Arcane.

Well, he wasn't using the runes at the moment so the boosts from them weren't even present.

Of course, due to the demon arts, his speed had been doubled.

That was the only thing. While he thought that he was quite fast, to the higher demons, it was nothing.

They could even go faster than that.

Arcane was laughing and saying, "Is that your best speed!"

"Haha!"

The sound of the swords clashing was being heard loudly since all the demons were quiet and were watching the battle.

None wanted to miss the Dark Overlord's moves if he was someone among them that is.

Reniea whispered, "Is master purposely going easy on him?"

Since everyone was quiet and despite being an open space, it was filled with silence, her words were heard by many who were near her.

The moment they heard that they understood what was happening.

Of course, if it was the Dark Overlord going out with his full strength, then none would be able to withstand that.

However, none of them showed that level of strength at the moment.

Seeing that Jay was wounded with the sword, they thought that he allowed the sword to hit him rather than actually getting hit by mistake.

The words spread faster than anyone's imagination and soon enough, reached Arcane's ears.

"What!?"

"You were playing with me!?", Arcane asked in a loud voice.

Now Jay, who wasn't aware of what was going on, was shocked. Of course, he could take a good guess at what was exactly happening but oh well, it wasn't clear anyway.

Also, he did hear what they were whispering, but he didn't care about that thinking that it was a waste of time since he never knew that Arcane would be provoked by that.

"I've had enough of your jokes!"

"I don't care if you are using all of your strength or not!"

"I will be using all of my powers!", was what he said.

"…"

'I see…'

'So he really got provoked by just that small question?'

Yes, Reniea had asked a question that ended up turning into a fact or a statement because of which he felt as if he was inferior after hearing their words.

That was why he started using all of his powers – he was indeed holding back quite a lot as if he wanted to test Jay.

Though the blow which Jay and Arcane traded earlier contained all of his strength which he had forgotten to control, after that everything seemed under his control.

Of course, Jay had felt that the speed of the attacks was great but for some reason, the power had been reduced when compared to before that is.

But the decreased strength was somewhat at the same level as that of Jay.

Whatever, Jay thought that it was in his best interest to stop taunting Arcane and start using what he had planned earlier.

-> Reduced the time required for MP restoration by 50%

-> Reduced the usage of MP by 50%

Yes, and this was precisely what Jay was aiming to do.

First of all his visual prowess had increased thanks to the demon arts but even after training that, he could maintain that only for 5 seconds earlier.

Now, thankfully, since he got a hang of it after training relentlessly for a day, he could use that for more than a minute, nearly a minute and a half which was a good thing.

Though, he wasn't sure if he could use it even after that.

Nevertheless, the demon art of increasing speed would also last for a minute and a half just like the other.

Unfortunately, half a minute was over already and only a minute was left.

Within this time, all he could do was activate his cards which he had been thinking about using all this time.

One of the cards was unleashed finally – the runes.

Alright, that caused a great change in the aura which he was emitting.

It gushed out all of a sudden suddenly giving chills to all who were near Jay.

"So he really was going easy on him!"

It was as if Jay was providing them some sort of proof that would lead them to believe just a rumor that was started all of a sudden.

Better use whatever comes during a situation, and with that mindset, he used the rumor which was just created.

But there was something that Jay was still wondering about.

Many a time, his skills would be named otherwise.

For example, his Dash had evolved into Accel, but despite that, the system would call it Dash or something similar.

That was pretty weird after all a programmed system wouldn't do such a mistake on its own.

This was the moment that gave Jay the doubt about the system being a human or some other living creature because they were the only ones with a tendency to mess up.

He vanished from the place and arrive right in front of Arcane. He followed Jay's movements with his eyes so there was nothing surprising with Jay's speed, yes nothing surprising other than the fact that his speed, as well as his strength, had increased by many times.
