That Ordinary Mister is a War God
30. Quaternary Adventurer
The quaternary adventurer party "Swallow Dancing with the Wind" is a pair of six only men.
Swordsman and leader Damian, heavy warrior Arnault with a large shield and spear, bandit Ascension Edgar, dwarf archer liner, seasoned oldest mage Evo, Johannes specializing in restorative magic.
The party name just took it from the animal the leader Damian likes and it doesn't make any deep sense.
He is now conducting a safety survey near Teito at the request of the Alliance.
"Is it because the defense of the imperial capital, the escort of travellers and merchants, is the work of knights? In all honesty, you don't have that attitude."
It was Edgar who complained.
He spilled his stupidity at the roots of what happened to be said by one of the knights who defended the Imperial City.
They had come about an hour's walk from Imperial Castle.
Edgar is moving his mouth for dissatisfaction dissipation, but is well on guard around him.
"It seems true that knights are looking down on us adventurers."
It was the archer liner who answered him.
He is a dwarf, a dwarf who can predict the movement of the wind, and is farsighted.
"There are a lot of things to say about knights. I can't impress you with just looking at three people and thinking it's all there."
It is Evo, the oldest, who hath scorned them young.
A man who turns fifty but still has the strength to beat a young man, his experience and depth of thought were treasured even at parties.
"But Grandpa..."
Sometimes the opponent is Evo, and Edgar protests against the hide.
"The first Knights Commander of the previous generation, Lord Balshmide, has met you, but you've been a pleasant man."
Evo spoke with his eyes narrowed in nostalgia.
"Grandpa, you've met with the Knights' General. I'm surprised at you."
Edgar rounds her orange eyes.
"It was a long time ago."
Evo said that, and he didn't say anything to go on.
I suspect you two have some reason.
A magician named Evo has a heavier mouth and doesn't try to talk about things he doesn't want to talk about.
I'm a trustworthy old man as someone to reveal secrets to, but that's why I decide it's not possible to let him continue with the current story.
"Maybe it's time for a change. Let's get the leaders."
That's what Edgar said.
The Leader Damians are now resting in the shade of a tree.
It was an expression of their confidence, or alarm, that the watchman was an unbalanced formation of scouts, archers, and magicians.
Still, there are few decent shades and good prospects, and it's not like low-ranking adventurers around picking places that are less susceptible to surprise attacks.
The arrow tip where the liner tried to call Damien, Damien joins the rest of us.
"That, I thought I'd go and call you now..."
Damian replied with a sad look to the suspicious archer.
"Yeah, but there was some kind of heartbreak. I thought we should rendezvous. I'm sorry, but will you guys take a break a little later?
"... Damian's chest noise is more or less a hit. I don't have a choice."
Edgar punches his tongue, the liner sighs, and Evo silently covers his wand.
Their grievances were not directed at Damien.
Against the unforeseen circumstances that may come.
"Mm, the space is loose. … a sign of a transfer from the south."
Evo accidentally opens his mouth and turns his attention to his people.
"Metastasis or sorcery?
Check with the magician as Damian sends his gaze south.
"I don't know. You can't distinguish that much in a eagle. I'm sorry."
When Evo wobbled, Arnault laughed.
"Don't apologize, Grandpa. You can just feel the metastasis."
"Oops, thanks to you, you don't have to eat surprises"
And Edgar says too.
(Good people. I don't want him to die if possible)
Evo thought sincerely.
The death of fellow adventurers is something I am prepared to do, and I consider myself calm to be "what sweet".
Still, he didn't want to lose his old comrades like his sons and grandchildren.
The space creeps in the direction he anticipated, with black, thick netted nanicas.
"Coming, alert! It doesn't look like magic."
At this time Evo finally spotted this as a metastasis classified as a natural phenomenon.
That's why I can't be alarmed.
Not all powerful demons used metastatic magic, nor was there a zero chance of getting caught up in a natural metastatic phenomenon.
It is the integrated gargoyle that has metastasized and come.
An ugly looking demon with big wings, whose skin was known to be as hard as stone.
