Emperor Caliord was a tyrant.

At the age of seventeen, he killed the emperor and empress and claimed the throne by killing all his brothers.

In the empire, there were mountains of people who shed blood and tears for the numerous evil misdeeds he committed.

Even so, he was the male lead.

The original title of the book was called〈The Deathly Life of the Tyrant〉.  It was a romance fantasy novel.

In the book, a woman who lost her lover to the tyrant fell in love with the tyrant.

Unlike the youthful title of the book, the beginning of the story was a bit twisted.

After many twists and turns, the story finally reached a happy ending.

And.

The tyrant loved her so much that he married her and gave her the country. He became a peaceful and good ruler compared to his reputation from before.

This was because the female lead was firm and headstrong; the tyrant relented to all her requests.

Thus, the tyrant’s private life was something that only his closest associates knew about and none of them would dare to reveal this secret…

“What is the point of a novel with a happy ending?”

The tyrant turned over a new leaf at the end of the original book.

“What can be worse than a male lead who is only kind to the female lead?”

This was the day when I turned 20.

I died and crossed over into the book.

I became that tyrant’s fiancee.

Scarlett Armand.

She loved the tyrant so much that she became the villain who tormented the empress and died at the hands of the tyrant.

Did that happen in the middle of the original story?

“…Ah, what should I do?”

I let out a soft sigh.

***

“This is driving me crazy.”

I racked my brains for a solution.

But I couldn’t come up with one on the spot.

In the first place, the tyrant was ruthless and merciless; it was impossible for me to avoid my death flags.

Tyrant Charlemagne Caliord.

He was a very fair person because he treated everyone the same. It didn’t matter what your identity was because if you stood in his way, he will kill you without mercy.

“He wouldn’t treat other humans as ‘people’ unless they were a genius like him.”

He treated neither his parents nor his brothers as blood relatives.

As for people who supported him? Well, he wasn’t the type of person who would kill someone just for fun or kill someone who had nothing to do with him.

However, if someone approached him within a certain distance, they’ll have to be careful not to be mistaken for an assassin by him.

It didn’t matter whether your status was high or low.

He only treated six of his closest friends and aides as real ‘human’ beings.

“They are all the same people.”

Everyone had been listening to the voices of geniuses since they were young.

In fact, only those people qualified to interact with the tyrant.

The tyrant received the title of the youngest swordmaster and the youngest sage.

“Since the sword is a magic sword, he didn’t have to exert much of his own magic to utilize it.”

Even with everything else, honestly, it was hard to understand how a man like him became a sage with such a violent personality.

I endured the humiliation and asked my family members, who didn’t even care to treat me like a lady of the house, about the tyrant.

The answers I received made me speechless.

“That’s because not many people know about his personality, rather they only know about his accomplishments.”

What? In other words, personality didn’t matter to the people?!

It seemed like there wasn’t much she could expect from the tyrant’s personality.

I drew a line on the paper as I tried to come up with solutions to my current dilemma.

I sighed and looked at the name written on the top of the paper.

‘Scarlett Armand.’

This is the name of the body I currently possessed.

This body belonged to a villainess.

In the original plot, there were a lot of characters who interfered with the relationship between Emperor Charléans and Empress Cheryl.

‘Among them, Scarlet has been playing the villainess for quite some time.’
