“Let’s go!” Lu Xia patted him on the shoulder. “I’m going to start counting.”

The two of them started at the same time, running towards the corner, bringing up a gust of chilling wind.

‘It should be here!’ Sun Zheng thought as his eyes snapped open.

They were running past the elevator.

Sun Zheng was close to the elevator doors.

However, they didn’t open.

“This is the director’s office. As its walls are covered with all sorts of anatomical drawings, this room is the safest place.”

Lu Xia fumbled in his trouser pocket. However, when they heard a faint sound of metal colliding, he withdrew his hand.

“If I take out that bunch of keys, they will jingle when they collide. Seems we have to break in!” Lu Xia sounded a little depressed.

“Jingle?”

“The sound will summon the soul of the dead.” Lu Xia narrowed his eyes.

With that, he took a few steps back and rushed towards the office door as if he regarded himself as a huge rock.

Sun Zheng stared blankly at the door swaying back and forth.

Lu Xia clapped, pushed open the door, and pulled Sun Zheng in.

“It’s locked! This one!” Sun Zheng said to Lu Xia, who was rummaging through things on the other side.

Lu Xia did not stop what he was doing. “Check the next one,” he said without looking up.

Sun Zheng pulled another drawer open while asking, “Why is this office the safest place?”

“There are many tales about this hospital.” Lu Xia sighed slightly. “Have you ever heard that ghosts can’t get into a room through the walls if every one of them is covered with things?”

‘There are no ghosts in this world!’ Sun Zheng thought what Lu Xia said was absurd.

“Found it!” Lu Xia suddenly shouted excitedly.

A beam of orange light came out, and the office was lit up at once.

Feeling that all his negative emotions disappeared in an instant, Sun Zheng cried out joyfully, “Great!”

Lu Xia waved the torch proudly and scanned around before saying, “Sit down. There’s something you should know.”

Seeing that Sun Zheng pulled the wooden chair over and sat down, Lu Xia took a seat opposite Sun’s.

The hospital was still spookily quiet.
