Chapter 35: The red Crystal

"Now, it's your turn, my main dish," Kritos stared at the leader of the wolf pack.

With a dash, he arrived at the side of Sanju's left hand.

"Elder brother, hope you had fun with it; permit your brother to give this wolf a lenient death," Kritos spoke while circulating the knife with his right hand.

"Permission denied; it's not a simple wolf. In his claws, there are toxic poisons that paralysis the body of the prey. Moreover, the crystal in his head can create false hallucinations. It will be difficult to kill it with a peak mortal stage body, although this wolf is a pseudo rank one monster. Let me handle it." Sanju exclaimed, but both his eyes were continuously staring at the crystal wolf who was continuously licking its grievous wound.

At first, Kritos thought that he could kill the bigger wolf by himself, but now, after listening to Sanju's words, Kritos planned to steal kill with his Archery skill when the Crystal wolf is breathing his last moment.

Sanju walks away from the Kritos and approaches the Wolf by each step.

Sanju preferred to use fist in the fight, as he was a believer of the saying, Nothing stands supreme against the mystic fist. However, to avoid the poison, Sanju wears a Knuckle duster on both his hands.

"Playtime over, my friend; let's begin the real battle." Sanju smiled

Crystal wolf glared at Sanju in fear, a sudden determination flickering on its eyes.

It looked around for its minions, only to found their healthy corpses lying on the ground.

Crystal wolf maintained its attack posture and was ready to attack with its most vital move.

A black cloud emerges from the wolf's mouth, slowly occupying the space between Sanju and the crystal wolf.

"Tsk!! You think this small fog could give you an advantage over me." Sanju said in frustration.

However, after the fog slowly vanished from their sight. Both Kritos and Sanju were stunned by watching the unexpected development.

The Crystal wolf was trying to run away as fast as it could from them.

"Y-you, coward, do you think you can escape from our clutches," Sanju shouted

Swish!!

Just a second after Sanju yelled, an arrow went through his ear and traveled in the direction of the escaping wolf at high speed.

The arrow pierces only a little in the backside of the crystal wolf. Still, the wolf heavily cried.

Sanju rolled his eyes towards Kritos and said," Cruel, too cruel, even death is better than this. Kritos, do you have any grudge against someone's eggs?

Kritos scratches his head. He aimed at the wolf leg, not at the private portion.

Well, he was able to stop the wolf from escaping.

"It was a mistake, elder brother. I was just targeting its leg." Kritos confusedly said.

"No problem. Still, you are able to stop it from escaping," Sanju said while giving a thumb up to Kritos

Kritos awkwardly nodded his head. Without chatting much, they approach the spot where Crystal wolf is lying and crying in pain.

From an angle, it looks like the wolf is trying to cover its egg, maybe in pain or defending itself from another brutal toxic strike.

Kritos don't care much about it and simply grabbed the knife and said, "Let me release you from your pain and suffering."

Before Kritos strike, Sanju laughed and said," We will hit you, and we will save you as well ... your soul will watch all this, and hell, it won't be able to do anything."

After listening to the statement of his elder brother, Kritos remained silent and simply chose to kill the suffering wolf.

Kritos planned to try to extract the red crystal from the wolf head by the knife. But just after he put his hand on the crystal, Kritos heard a system prompt

For a moment, Kritos stared at the Sanju

With an awkward smile, Sanju continued," Nothing much, brother, it is just an unpurified crystal which is not much use. If you want, take it."

Without wasting a second, Kritos removed the red crystal from the wolf's head and stored it in his pocket.

After the hunting program, Kritos and Sanju planned to assemble a tent in a safe area before consuming the homemade food.

Moon was brightly shining, and its sparks are continuously falling in Kritos body, who was absorbing the moon's energy in its body.

After dinner, both Kritos and Sanju make a schedule to monitor the surroundings at the alternate turns.

Now, it was Kritos turn.
