Kritos hurriedly changed the direction of his jump from forward to his rear.

And suddenly then….

From the mouth of the spider, dirty and turbid liquid spewed out.

Kritos rolled on the rocky ground for a second before regaining his balance. He quickly took a look behind him. The spot on the ground he had been standing only until a second ago was now emitting smoke as it got scorched black.

Sizzle….

Stones on the ground melted away powerlessly.

Kritos swallowed his saliva upon seeing that.

"If I hadn't jumped just now….".

It wouldn't have been only the stone that was melting right now.

Dangerous!

Perhaps sensing that Kritos had been distracted, the spider rushed towards him in no time.

Kritos raised his head. By then, the spider was already right in front of his eyes.

Kritos jumped up to evade the giant spider's legs.

After that, Kritos got near the monster's head several times more. Every time he did that, though, he had no choice but to retreat to evade that disgusting digestive juice.

When the spider's attack pattern had changed, it became that much harder to deal with it. If he got closer after evading all those snapping legs, the digestive juice spewed out. Its legs attacked again once he had to retreat to a distance because of the juices.

"Sh*t!"

Feeling frustrated now, he decided to attack the legs with his dagger.

Unfortunately, the legs were also covered in that thick exoskeleton and no matter how many times he cut it, he couldn't even nick it once.

Kritos bit his lower lip.

'This isn't going to work.'

The spider only needed its two front legs to attack him, but on the other hand, he needed to use his entire body to evade them. It was obvious who would tire out first here.

Kritos was also already exhausted due to constant roaming on this damn mountain. Moreover, he doesn't even drink a single drop of water.

Maybe a single drop of sweat touched his mouth… disgusting!

As Kritos continued to barely evade each of the legs raining down, a thought entered his head.

'Let's use the movement which I practiced some time ago.'

He wanted to conserve his Shadow Form skill and arrow for the strong enemy.

This huge monster wasn't on that level. It is just due to the Weak Stage, his power is half now, or he has easily killed this ugly monster. 

Upon using the movement technique, Kritos's body became even faster as if a booster had been activated. Evading the spider's legs had become even easier as a result.

Swish!!!

He swiftly evaded the spider legs slamming down like lightning bolts and in the blink of an eye, arrived before the monster.

Taken by surprise, the spider hurriedly spewed out its digestive juice.

However, thanks to the increase in his speed, his movement now had this certain composure to it. Kritos easily evaded the digestive juice and pounced towards the spider's head.

Slash!

His dagger slashed at the spider's eyes and dark red blood burst out from its eyes.

Most of the blood spilled out in Kritos's clothes.

The spider roared out and staggered about.

Kritos didn't miss this opening.

The moment his two feet landed back on the ground, he jumped up again and climbed on the spider's body to get to the top of its head.

The spider went crazy and swung its legs all over the place, but Kritos wasn't going to let those blind attacks land on him.

Boom!

Holes continued to appear on the poor, blameless ground instead.

Now standing on top of the spider's head, Kritos began stabbing the eyes of the spider with his dagger.

Stab!

The spider rampaged around this way and that, but Kritos endure till the end and continued to shove his dagger into the head of the spider.

The spider began tottering about dangerously. It was obviously getting damaged now. Seeing this, Kritos's hands picked up speed.

And eventually, the huge body of the spider finally tilted to the side.

THUD!!!

However, Kritos didn't hold his hand. No, he kept going at it, until the spider was dead for sure.

Stab! Stab!! Stab!!!

Keureureureu….

Along with the final gasps from the spider, a message popped up in his view.

"I did it, without the use of Shadow form and Archery skill." Kritos excitedly murmurs.

While covered from head to toe in the spider blood, Kritos raised his hands up high.

He looked at the dead spider monster and focused his eyes on the heart of it.

'Ah, these things have a crystal core, don't they?''

How could he forget something so valuable like that? It can be sold for a huge price or can be used in cultivation.

Kritos extracted the crystal core hidden deep inside the head of the dead spider.

As the trophy for his glamorous victory, this would do very nicely.

Kritos lightly jumped down from the dead spider's head and smiled upon thinking of the taste of this monster.

Due to the mad thirst for food, he forgot about the monster's look. He just wanted to peacefully eat anything to his heart content.

He couldn't help but quickly cut this monster into pieces and fry it into hot fire.

Nevertheless, there was something he couldn't forget after killing a new species of monster.

Kritos momentary stopped his excitement and deeply thought about his choice.

First, he doesn't want to spit a corrosive poison from my mouth, it's so disgusting, so the 2nd option is out of the list. Even so, it is a very powerful skill in a fight.

Compared to option 3rd, option 1st is much better.

"I will choose you!"

Kritos selected the option which he wanted from the start. It is a very useful support ability in sudden danger.

He doesn't know how it will work, but the description of this skill is quite good. Besides, it was a B Rank skill.

Just like last time, transparent energy flowed from the dead spider monster and entered his chest.

Suddenly, he saw a merge option on the right side of the notification bar. There is a warning written in the notification before merging any racial trait to Kritos body.

"It is similar to the last time,"

He felt a painful sensation entirely inside his body. It was like the complete structure of his body was being modified.

"Argggg…"

"Huff...Huff..." Kritos rapidly took gusts of breath and stabilized his consciousness.

"This time, the pain was great!" Kritos murmurs.

He could feel that he has instinct like a beast, more specifically instinct like a spider.

Moreover, his reflexes have increased by multiple times. 

"This ability is amazing!"

With this ability, Kritos have some sense of security.

Afterward, Kritos looked at Spider Monster, and saliva escaped from his mouth.

"With cultivation qi, all the poison from the monster body would be vaporized in a few minutes."

In the shadows of the huge boulder, Kritos was happily eating the meat of the Spider monster.

Kritos has decided to see the rules of the Time Chamber after eating the meat. 

The Time Chamber function was quite a mystery to him. 

Nonetheless, arriving at the main city of Cloud Region was his main priority. Afterward, he would try to join this Virtual World.

After eating the meat of the Spider monster, Kritos decided to take a rest. Besides, with his Spider Sense ability, it would be easy for him to detect upcoming danger before it happens. Having this ability reassures Kritos that he will be safe while resting in the open Mountain Range.
