Upon reaching the platform, Karen glanced at the nervous looks of the elders and his father.

He bows down his head and greets all of them.

"Karen, could you directly explain the reason for your order. You know, the other two clans are waiting for our response," The first elder asserted.

"Yes first elder, but my nephew, Kritos, can explain it better."

As he said, Kritos walked inside the clan hall. He has some light injuries on his face and wounds on his hands.

His complexion was awful, upon watching him anyone would think that he had just escaped from a dreadful scene.

Kritos first bows down his head to them and then begins telling the fabricated story.

"Respected elders and clan head, today morning, I met Sam in the middle of the city market. He approached me to inform me about the celebration party for winning the tournament. He also told me that he got permission from the clan head."

After telling, Kritos looked at Lakhan for his approval.

Lakhan instantly nodded and permitted him to resume his story.

"From him, I learned that the Celebration party was going to be organized after two hours. Moreover, he would pick me up from my home."

After a pause, Kritos continued," Subsequently two hours passed, and he came to my house at the exact time. Afterward, we walked towards the black cup restaurant which is suited in the east with Sam's as a guide. He planned to take shortcuts through the abandoned buildings. Unbeknownst to us, there is some kind of monster hiding in the passage."

Kritos glanced at the serious looks of the elders, he resumed in a low voice, "In the center of the passage, we encountered that monster. It instantly killed S-Sam with its weird magic…"

Before Kritos could finish his sentence, the first elder leaps towards the Kritos.

"You're laying... Sam can't be killed."

The first elder placed both his hands on Kritos's shoulder and jerked Kritos's entire body.

Lakhan immediately jumped from his position and attempted to restrain the first elder from losing his emotion.

Karen and Kritos were the last ones. They intentionally stayed in the clan hall.

After everyone leaves from the Clan hall, Karen decided to tell the truth to his father.

As there was not a single monster in that passage. It may arouse suspicion in everyone's mind.

Hence, it is better to tell the truth to his father.

After everyone evacuated from the clan hall, Karen and Kritos approached the clan head who was in deep thought.

"Father!"

"Oh! Karen and Kritos, Is there something you want to discuss with me…Wait, Kritos, Did you receive any heavy injuries in your body?"

Lakhan worriedly asked him. Due to the current situation of the city, he forgot to ask Kritos about his well-being after the incident.

"Father, earlier what Kritos said in the clan hall was just a facade. The real truth is something else that can't be shared with everyone," Karen asserted.

Upon listening to his words, Lakhan intentionally glared at both of them.

"Are you out of mind, Karen? Did you know what both of you have done?"

Karen ignored his father's words and said," Father, actually it was schema to kill Kritos. Besides, Kritos already fall in their plan. He was near death."

"What? Who planned it? Tell me... Someone actually dares to scheme against my grandson," Lakhan fiercely said.

"Father, actually…

He was stunned to hear that Mayank and the young miss of the Vishwa Clan are dead. Moreover, Sam was a part of their scheme. In a sense, he betrayed the Dwivedi clan.

Lakhan was pleased, how both of them counter the scheme in a small time.

Lakhan himself thought that Kritos story is real. His act was enough to fool anyone.
