Supreme Human System

Chapter 100: Scheme

May the winds of heaven blow softly and whisper in your ear.

How much we love and miss you and wish that you were here, celebrating with us. My dear Brother, Rio Rathore.

Kritos glanced at the lines which he once wrote on the cover of his book.

"If the little brother and sister were with us, they would have a shock to hear that I won the Challenger League," Kritos mumbled in a low voice.

Many months have already passed when Kritos sister was taken by a strong cultivator.

The representatives of the sect who visited the Awakening ceremony that year informed them that her sister would be fine.

The female expert who took her had a positive aura. So, most of them assume that she must be from a righteous sect.

Still, Kritos had an uneasy mind thinking about her sister.

He doesn't know how many years he has to wait to see her little sister again.

After a few seconds, Kritos dismisses these thoughts and opens the copy which was lying in front of him.

First page...

1.Two Years, Five Months, 24th day...

From the depths of my heart, come the words of a brother,

where our souls and our minds, are like that of no other.

You left without Warning.

Gone so fast.

Now, all we have are memories of our past.

My memories are what I have left,

and a lesson I will never forget.

You are loved by so many.

You might not have known,

But in our hearts is where You have grown.

The memories I have throughout the years will last forever with Laughter and tears.

The amount of tears I've cried,

is nothing compared to the pain inside.

The time I've missed you has gone so quick,

2 years has passed and I'm still ticked,

that you're up there and I'm down here,

for many, many years.

I am growing so fast, and one day I will take your revenge.

That day, they will regret their decision.

It feels like it's been forever,

since I've seen your face.

When I was mortal, I once feared

I will forget your face in the river of time.

I can't say goodbye.

I can't accept

Your death.

You will live in my heart

Forever...

Until my last breath.

-----To my dear brother who sacrificed himself for us.

Reading the poem about his little brother which he once wrote, a wave of feeling strikes his heart.

He moves his head upward and watches the dispersing clouds.

"Little brother, you know, mother always cries after remembering you... We miss you so much, Rio!"

Even after two years, Kritos always recall his helplessness, when they fled, leaving his little brother alone to face the demons.

Kritos still felt ashamed for being a big brother. A big brother who hides behind his little brother.

It was one of the reasons why Kritos highly admire Sanju, his elder brother.

In an actual sense, Sanju was a true elder brother even if he is only his cousin.

Unknowingly Kritos learned many things about being a good elder brother, he even asked Sanju. His answer was quite plain.

To keep them safe from harm when our parents can't or won't. As an elder brother, one will have more responsibilities. An elder brother is almost equal to a father. We need to guide the younger ones, we need to care and we need to scold them whenever it is necessary. Understand what they want to try to fulfill and most important protect them even if it costs our life.

Kritos closed the copy after writing for one hour.

He wanted to cultivate but his condition restricted him.

However, after the deactivation of the first form, two days ago. Kritos found some abnormalities in his body.

His body had grown a few centimeters and his peak Rank 8 Apprentice Realm base became quite stable.

He felt that he could make a breakthrough to the next rank if he wished.

Nonetheless, Kritos decided to wait for one day more.

***

At dawn, a group of four youths and one man stared at the entrance of a subterranean building two meters wide and three meters tall. It went downward till eyes could see and was completely silent.

"The passage will go on for about a 100 meter and then will divide itself in different directions. Rarely anyone comes here at all."

A boy explained.

"I will be in the head, the rest of you follow tightly and mark the places I told you."

Mayank ordered and went in, the rest of the group followed with Manvi at the center of it.

The passage was made of a narrow street and the houses didn't seem too stable and, as they moved on, the light of the sun could not reach their position.

The passage was growing darker which made the group advance slowly.

The passage got larger after some time and they could stand side to side, then they arrived where the path split into two different branches.

The man who was wearing city guard armor pointed at a place.

Mayan nodded his head and led his way towards it.

Suddenly, Manvi asked," Hey man, are you sure not a single guard patrol here. If our plans fail due to the interruption of any guard, then you will know what I can do."

"Young miss, I swear to you, no one comes here at that time. Even if someone mistakenly arrives, I will handle it."

Manvi glared at him for a second then nodded her head.

She didn't want her plan to fail due to the interruption of anyone. Besides, if they were detected by anyone, she knows she would be doomed.

The light was scarce and the air was stifling wet but the group had to wait until Mayank set the trap.

'My brother is so weak-minded, what's the point of being powerful if you don't even make use of your strength to kill someone.'

Every time she recalls how she was humiliated by that bastard. She wished to mercifully kill him with both her hands.

Besides, her brother told her to forget about it.

Forget!

This word wasn't in Manvi's vocabulary, she can't ignore the way he brutally slapped her in front of everyone.

Without the use of crimson golden hair of her brother's soul beast, her face would have taken a week to recover from the injuries.

'Even if I have to sacrifice my virginity to kill him, it's ok. Besides, I can control Mayank with my will.' Manvi thought to herself.

Suddenly, the darkness became as dark as night momentarily before turning normal..

Everyone became dazed for a moment

What just happened!" The gourd screamed

One of the youth could also be seen trembling. His voice was shaking as he said, "S-Something bad. That was either a powerful spell or a powerful being. But how?"

Abruptly another boom rang in their heads, making them stumble.

"Do any one of you have an idea?" one youth asked Manvi.

Not able to finish his sentence, a speeding object flew from inside their body and vanished into the air. They all paused for a moment, looked at each other.

Illusion!

"What a powerful illusion, you got Mayank. I had never thought you would obtain such a treasure." Manvi said to the upcoming tall youth.

"Oh my Manvi, It cost me almost all my savings to buy it from my friend who brought it from the Royal capital. Don't forget to treat me," After saying, a filth expression appears on his face.

Manvi ignores his words and quickly hugs him and whispers some words in his ears.

Other youths and the guard were dumbfounded due to their behavior.

They never thought that their relationship would reach this extent.

Despite not being dawn yet, the well-ventilated but quiet and dark place was illuminated by gas lamps. The dim yellow light emitted from the gas lamps was protected by glass, allowing them to steadily shine throughout the empty and quiet street.

They have already set up the trap and now they just have to wait for the correct time.

Thinking about his excellent plan without any flow, Mayank chuckled,' Enjoy your last day Kritos, tomorrow will be your last day and then I will celebrate your day by enjoying with Manvi in the night.'

After forming their plan carefully, all of them returned to their home.

Only the guard was left behind to maintain the traps.

***

Just After they left the passage, the guard heard a weird sound. He thought it must be due to the weird illusion activated.

However, the sound becomes more clear.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

The thumping became more and more intense. The guard looked in the direction of the sound and saw the black outward-swinging gates that were engraved with seven Sacred Emblems.

"What is this?" He squinted his eyes and his heart was beating like a drum.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Suddenly, a wave of blood appears from the gate and pierce through the guard's heart.

Kach!!!
