“It’s the woman in the black robe…!”

The next night. Marielle’s group, who had delayed their departure from Balletta for a day, heard Yui’s scream in Kyoko’s mansion. Yui heard the scream with her ability.

“She seems to have appeared on the main street. The citizens can be heard making noise.”

“Finally that wretch is here! I’m going to get her!” Eisuke rolled up the sleeves of his jacket and ran his finger under his nose. “Kyoko, you stay there with Marielle! I’ll go get my ticket to fight you! Come on, Yui, Serika!”

Without waiting for an answer, Eisuke ran out of the mansion with Yui and Serika. Marielle smiled bitterly and spoke to Kyoko.

“Ahahaha… I’m sorry he’s such a noisy boy, Lady Kyoko…”

“No, I don’t mind, they don’t seem to be bad guys.” Kyoko replied with a slightly bitter smile and smiled at Marielle as if she had just remembered. “By the way, Princess Marielle, didn’t you say at lunch that you wanted a hair clip?”

“Yeah, I was wondering if I could wear my hair like Lady Serika?”

“I have a hair clip that would look very nice on you. Please wait a moment. I’ll go get it.”

Kyoko happily got up. Marielle and Rukino stayed in the room. Their faces became serious and they nodded as if to encourage each other.

“My lady…”

“Yes. It’s time to start the operation…”

It was night in the city. However, this was in an uproar. The cause was a woman in a black robe standing ominously on the roof of a certain building. She was smiling under her robe.

“Are you the ones who have been spying on me?”

“Yes, yes we are. But you already knew that.”

Like her, Serika was on the rooftop, her cardigan billowing in the night breeze at her waist. Behind the robed woman, Yui held one of her pistols.

“…Please don’t move.”

“Oh, my dears, such caution. I guess I was too flashy.”

Serika also threw a warning to the robed woman, who remained aloof despite the pincer attack.

“Yes, this has gone too far already. You were even manipulating me. I’m going to make you pay for that.”

“Even though your underwear was simple.”

“Yui!? You said it so out of the blue, are you being controlled!?”

“It’s just that you’ve become my rival.”

Serika cleared her throat, dismayed by Yui’s puffy cheeks with a sulky look.

“Anyway, I’ve been through a lot because of you. I warn you, I’m the spiteful type, you know.”

Serika lowered her hips and adopted a fighting stance. The robed woman held back her laughter at her steely demeanor.

“Hehe, wow, what a savage. You look just like your friend’s boyfriend. I think you’re starting to look a lot alike.”

“Stop, really stop, that’s the last thing I want to hear anyone say to me.”

“Speaking of which, I wonder if he’s around. Will you two be fighting alone?”

The robed woman looked around. Serika smiled at her demeanor.

“Yes, let’s both go. Have you grown fond of him yet? Or was it your boss who grew fond of him?”

“…What?”

The tone of the robed woman’s voice changed. Serika said provocatively.

“I’m saying you’re just a minion. You act like you’re the real brains, but it’s useless. You’re just a witch who was ordered to do this. …And he’s on his way to the real culprit right now. …My little savage friend…” As she pointed at the robed woman, Serika’s sneer matched the sneer that Eisuke always had.
