437: Peel off and try (4)

“It looks like you were beaten back in trying to kidnap Miss Linda.”

US President John Crump was listening to a briefing by the CIA director, a close aide to him. He was bewildered by the news of the static when his approval rating was running low due to complicated domestic and foreign issues.

“Linda, you mean Linda Grace? No, why did he like that child…? Could you possibly do something like that to me…?”

“It doesn’t seem like that. And anyway, Samchpack is already in a state of being unable to do anything.”

Despite the words of CIA Director Maxwell Levans, President Crump did not relax. The opponent was like a worn-out youkai with thick bones in the political world.

There was no way to prevent him from suddenly appearing after a rumor had been made that he was dead. The president of the federal government was Crump himself, but it was Senator Samchpack and his gang that effectively controlled the US Congress.

“Have you checked his body?”

“The whole of his hideout was sunk. It will take at least a few weeks to clear the building and check the body.”

“Then don’t be sure. No, let’s make plans assuming he’s still alive…!”

Crump said as if chewing and spitting. So many things happened to the character Samchipack.

“Samchpack’s body has not been found, but the actions of Senator Justin Turner make it clear that he is dead.”

“Why Justin Turner again?”

When the name Turner appeared, President Crump’s impression was distorted. Samchpack was a guy with even the bare minimum of formality, and Turner was a bastard who knew the president as a congressional guard.

For Crump, if Samchpack was the number one person he wanted to assassinate, Justin Turner was in second place. Both men grabbed the FRB and waved it to control the money chains of the federal government.

Because of them, Crump had to travel the world and collect money directly from governments. As a result, he could not even raise a third of the amount he had originally planned to raise, but re-election is already near his nose.

“I have been contacted. They told me to negotiate.”

“Is that negotiator you or me?”

“Of course, I made an offer to the president.”

“Hurry! So what did he say?”

It was Crump who liked to get attention more than anyone. If you tell him that someone has been pointed out about him like that, the narrow-minded person will always grab the pod.

In terms of human aspect, he was a very difficult person to meet. However, he was moderately mature, and when he was comforted and tamed, there was no other person who was as easy to read as this.

“I was told to cover the current work with Samchipack’s sole work.”

“So, what’s the price?”

“This re-election is said to be withdrawn from the Democratic Party’s election.”

“Hmm-!”

Crump scratched his chin, deep in thought. Frowning his blonde eyebrows, he thought, ‘Who should I rob this time?’ It was the same as the worried expression on his face.

For him, politics was just an extension of business. The reason he challenged for the presidency in the first place was because he wanted to eat big with the country.

“How much do you think my approval rating will rise if Turner leaves the primary?”

“It is expected to rise by about 5%.”

“What is the gap with the other candidate?”

“It is around 11%.”

“Shit! Then there is only one negotiation!”

“How about 5% though? 11% and 16% have a different sense of approach.”

The impatient Crump did not wait long. So, even when they made plans to increase their approval ratings, they often rolled it up.

Perhaps because of that, there were not many people around him who could be called true allies. I wonder if he had a son-in-law named Norm Top as the election chairperson.

‘Well, thanks to that, I’m playing a leading role.’

The power of Deputy Director Chris was great for him to be in this position. Precisely, it was because of the proposal that Justin Turner came up with when he came to the office while thinking about it.

“Do you have any plans to challenge the next presidential election? To do that, you’ll need to build a strong support force. May I introduce you to one such friend?”

CIA Director Maxwell, like Crump, was also an obvious figure. So Deputy Director Chris was able to make this offer openly.

“Is there no other way?”

“There is only one. If you use this card, you might get more than 5% approval at once.”

“Oh! Do you have such a card? But why are you talking now?”

“The risk is so great. It’s a gamble that could lead to re-election. If it goes well, it might be possible to reverse the approval rating at once.”

“…so what is that card?”

You could tell just by looking at Crump’s face. that his mind had already turned to the second card…

The moment he spit out words like ‘gambling’ and ‘reversing at once’, Crump’s options were already decided. Knowing that well, Director Maxwell put those words out there.

“I’m pushing Miss Linda Grace for mayor of New York. And naturally, we put it out as the face of our camp.”

“Hmm! I’m running Linda… as a candidate for mayor of New York.”

The mayor of New York resigned after taking responsibility for the incident. Therefore, with his re-election, it emerged as a big issue in American politics.

“Aren’t you too young to challenge the New York market?”

“It can actually cause issues. The youngest candidate so far was a 28-year-old woman. But if a young and beautiful 24-year-old woman joins our camp, a billionaire heiress who will represent the next generation, the young people’s votes will inevitably come to us.”

“Hmm! Even so, Linda is too young. I’m not going to pick her because she’s middle-aged or older.”

Crump said with a cold expression. Even though he had a quick temper, he didn’t make decisions without thinking.

Rather, he analyzed the situation more coldly than anyone else in the winning team. It was because of his outstanding eyesight and judgment that he was able to become the richest man recognized by the world today.

But as a result, he was overconfident. She doesn’t want to listen to anyone at all.

“It doesn’t matter. It’s because I’m trying to put him up as a candidate, not because I’m trying to make New York mayor. If you lose the mayoral election in New York, you can push him to the next Manhattan borough. If that is the case, there would be no particular reason for opposition within the party.”

“Hmm! For now, let’s use it only as a face mask for the camp.”

Crump scratched his chin and made an interesting expression. It was a sign that his mind was half way over.

New York City has been a traditional Democratic garden. Only this time, the mayor of New York, a Republican, came out, but his political position was once again unstable due to the riots.

Cunning people who noticed the change came out as candidates for mayor of New York. Thanks to that, there were already over 40 people who had been nominated.

“The riots have left New York City to show the true face of America. Low wages, insufficient jobs, racial inequality, etc…”

“Is there any country or city in the world that doesn’t have that problem? I have to say something that makes sense. ttt!”

Crump was greatly offended by that statement. He thought America was sick because of fools who pursued ideals without acknowledging reality.

“Those idiots have more than half the votes. In elections, you can easily win by taking the side of fools. Even the President knows it well.”

“.

‘Oh yea!’

Maxwell exclaimed inwardly. Finally, President Crump accepted his opinion.

And, as always, he wanted a sure payoff. If you don’t pay a price to satisfy his heart here, he’ll change his mind like flipping his palm.

“It can bring the project of building educational facilities for children in the slums toward us.”

“I think I heard that it was a free facility. Do you want me to act like an idiot for not even making that kind of money?”

“Thanks to that foolishness, land prices in the area skyrocketed. New York’s golden lands have been turned into diamonds.”

“okay? …but, Brian, there’s no way that old man would give me such a bonanza…”

Shortly before Crump became president, he had frequent quarrels with Brian. No matter how close he was with the dead Thomas Grace, he had no choice but to fight like an enemy in the face of great profit.

It was Brian who took the lead. So, Crump knew Brian’s abilities and greed better than anyone.

‘Wow! In any case, this man, his greed… This bastard! This is your election, not mine!’

It was said that it would not be even half of the rice cakes that would fall apart if we had to hold hands with G Company. Unless you offer a bigger condition, he’ll just squabble.

Of course, if this negotiation went well, Maxwell could have been given a tremendous amount of money as the next presidential candidate. He thought that if he could join hands with the tycoon that would flow out of his mouth now, he would be worthy of his next presidential election.

“Ms. Linda’s fiancée is a man named Bay Zhang. He is the creator of the hottest Tsar coin these days.”

“The Tsar Coin…is the person who made it?”

Again, Crump was a person whose expression was easy to read. As an expert in tax saving (?), he seemed to have finished calculating the profit and loss at once.

“Humm! Let’s make a seat for once… quickly!”

“Sure!”

Finally, his demanding greed was satisfied. He had just taken a step toward Maxwell’s own next presidency.

“Hey, look at this!”

After a certain amount of time has passed, the Warrior gathered the surrounding data and drew the overall information within the building. And he concluded that there was no Justin Turner on the third floor.

At the conclusion, Cheol-woo was confused, ‘Has it been in vain?’ The Warrior came up with a new assumption. Then, he did everything he could to find the structure and traces of the people on the 4th basement floor.

Dumpling! Rumble! Whoops!

Cheol-woo found a hidden passage leading to the fourth floor. Then, he grabbed the handle of the thick iron door that was blocking it and pulled it out at once.

Wow! puck! Whoops!

Cheol-woo tore off the entire iron door that was supposed to open inward and rushed towards the men standing next to the door. Those caught between the thick iron gate and the wall collided with the rushing iron gate and lost consciousness.

dump!!!

The three men, who lost their minds behind the iron gates that had been removed, fell forward. Judging from their muscular physique, they all seemed to have exercised or had military experience.

Whoa!! shudder!

I rummaged through their clothes and found a few pistols. With them, Cheol-woo slowly walked down the still-quiet dark hallway.

[Closed rooms with an isolated structure are surrounded by the central hall.]

The Warrior showed the structure of the 4th basement floor, and marked the approximate location of the characters. However, unexpectedly (?), there were a few CCTVs in the basement, so it was impossible to find the exact location of Turner.

“Chijit-! All three gather through the passage behind the wall at 4 o’clock on the 3rd basement floor. Apparently he’s hiding on the 4th basement floor.”

“Chijit-! What else is this? It’s like a completely hidden dungeon. How the hell did you find this?”

Wolf, who was near the place where Cheol-woo took the picture, said as if surprised. The entrance to the 4th floor was so hidden that you could not even notice it even though it was nearby.

“Chijit-! There must be some fallen at the end of the entrance. I want them to bind their hands and feet.”

“Chijit-! Are you telling me to go back and do it again? You are so…”

When Wolf began to grumble, the Warrior cut off communication on its own. Unless there’s an urgent matter, we’ll connect communications only after he stops murmuring.

Dump! Whik!

In the meantime, Cheol-woo’s footsteps continued. In order to approach the circular structure in the center of the building, he moved in a straight line and lightly ripped open the door of the room in the middle and entered.

“···What are you?”

“What are you guys doing? why are you naked with men?”

About 10 men were sweating in the room. The air in the room was also hot.
