Silver Wish

Chapter 59 - I will never forgive her.

Kiryu knew his 'parents' were in New York too, but he hadn't seen them in a long time. Mother didn't say anything in the car, which surprised him.

As he carried Lila, he noticed how empty it was. Though, he knew that it was most likely Mother who persuaded him to take such action.

This is the first time; the old man has listened to a sincere request of his. By the time he reached the room, the old man had everything set up. Even though quite some time has passed since Kiryu last saw this person, Kiryu recognized him immediately.

There stood a man with ginger hair, glasses, a strangely clean-looking lab coat, and appearance. It must be due to his mother, and it seems they are getting along with each other.

"Eita." Asuka addressed.

"No trouble on the way?"

Mother shook her head and looked over at him, "Put her down."

Even with his mother asking him, Kiryu was reluctant to put her down. He doesn't want to let her go. What if the moment he does something happens again? He simply went over to the vending machines to get a drink, and he was quite quick about it.

To his surprise, the old man pats his back, and he doesn't say anything. But he kept that up for the next few minutes. After thirty minutes had gone by, Kiryu settles Lila down on the bed, and mother hands him water to drink.

"Sorry."

His mother shook her head. "It's normal."

He understood that it was normal. It can't be helped in those sorts of places. Any girl who walks in is prey to any guys in that building. As cruel as that sounded, that's just how those types of places worked. Even if a normal couple goes in, or anyone in a relationship, the girl ends up becoming any guy's possession. Rather, it's not a place normal couples go.

He knows all this full well. But even so, he was careless. He managed to save her this time. However, what about next time? How can he say for sure that he will be able to help her again? That he would be on time? What if there's a next time?

His thoughts break when he felt warmth on his cheeks, to find Lila had woken up, "Kiryu? Don't be sad?" Just like earlier, but this time with even more conviction and concern in her eyes, rendering him completely speechless.

She is so very silly.

Why is she thinking about him right now? She is the one who got hurt.

"Listen to the old man, okay?"

"Ah-huh, as long as you hold my hand."

Kiryu looks over at the ginger head, who nodded, and he takes her hand, and the lights of the machinery around the girl's bed lit up.

Now that he thought about it, whenever Lila is weak, she ends up behaving childishly. He held her hand until she fell asleep.

"You know, you're not even going to say hello?"

"Is there anything we need to discuss?"

Eita sighed deeply. "I guess I deserve that cold treatment." He trailed off. "It's not like I disliked you. But every time I looked at you, I would remember how your mother belonged to another man for a while."

"She isn't anybody's possession."

"Indeed, but back then, I was too childish to think that way. Your mother did nothing wrong. I was the one who treated her poorly, and I knew she was engaged to Austin Hisame. But even then, I chased after her, and I was the one who backed her to a corner."

".."

"Your mother had no interest in romance, and she thought it would be fine to stay single for the rest of her life. She was not the type of woman who could love another, at least that's what I thought. But after I gave her that bracelet, I noticed something different."

"Do I have to listen to your love story?"

Eita laughed. "You know how bad this love story is, though."

"Mother already cut her ties with the Austin family. All of this stuff suddenly happened, but she was going to return to your side."

"But now she is helping Austin Hisame, right?"

"Because of the situation." Kiryu knew the reason his mother remained with the Austin family now. It was because of him because he did not discuss anything and went off on his own.

"Well, all this aside. You did a good job."

Kiryu looked at the man with wide eyes, and Eita laughed. Huh? What?

"Isn't this the first time? The first time you doubted Miyazawa's words and immediately left her, to go to Lila-chan?"

Come to think of it, up until much recently. He simply went along with what Rosalia said. Truthfully, when he agreed to drop by later. He already knew what was going to happen. He simply wanted to warn her properly without holding back. Last time, they were at the party, so he couldn't make too much of a fuss even though they were upstairs.

"It wasn't just now, since the Christmas episode. No, since the first incidence last year. I've doubted her. However, your right in saying that this is the first time I did anything."

Even what he did in the hotel seemed to be half-hearted. In contrast to the utter rejection, he did yesterday, "So, though I did that. What are the chances of her leaving me be?"

"You don't want to be her friend anymore? You hate her?"

Kiryu thinks back to everything, but all the memories were replaced with what happened last night and nodded. "I hate her, I know she loves me, and I've always excused her actions since it's my fault she's acting this way. But I can't do that anymore. No matter what her reason is, what she did is unforgivable."

Did Rosalia think he would believe a crap story of Lila getting pregnant with another guy? Even if she did get pregnant with someone else's child, he wouldn't doubt her. He would ask her, and he would know right away from her expression.

Even if by some crazy idea that it went the way she wanted. Did she really think he would turn to her? After all, Lila already has Haruka's child, and yet he still treats her the same way as he did before.

He would give her his blessings and love her silently forever. He made that decision a long time ago. Even if it isn't him, he would be happy for her. However, he recalled the scenario earlier. What happened was far too gruesome.

How could Rosalia have fooled him for so long? That sort of twisted woman deserves to go to hell.

"That woman is crazy, but she is not the one pulling strings. There is somebody far scarier."

Kiryu frowned. "That Sophia woman--"

"That snarky woman hurt your mother."

Wait? Is that why she was so quiet in the car?

"Damn her, if I get my hands on that witch, she is dead."

Kiryu couldn't miss the anger from the ginger head man and knew it was serious. "How come, mother?"

"That crazy woman attacked the Austin family residence directly."
