Silver Wish

Throb, throb.

Kiryu felt a throbbing pain in his heart, and he knew his eyes turned a brighter shade of red. From the corner of his eye, he could see a bright red moon in the sky.

Kill, kill her.

He needs to kill her.

This is Sumire-sans fault, and she is the one who caused Lila to carry such a heavy burden. The best thing to do here is to end the cause of her pain. But Kiryu hesitated; how can he do it? How can he kill the person who means the world to Lila? Sumire-san caused Lila so much pain and suffering, but because of Sumire-san, Lila found her dream.

Sumire laughed softly. "Kiryu-kun, you can't do it?"

"Sumire-san, is this why you went on a walk with me?"

"Lila-chans powers are special, but so are yours, and you two are the only ones that can kill me. Not even Yuhi-san can do so." A strong gust of wind blew then. "Kiryu-kun, you decide for Lila-chans sake. Can you end it? The cause of the malice in this world."

"There is no guarantee that even if I kill you, things will return to normal," Kiryu exclaimed.

"Are you sure about that?"

"Sumire-san, please-"

Please don't do this he silently begged in his head.

Sumire stood directly in front of him and grabbed his hand. "If you pierce my heart right now, then I will die. The barrier that protects me will not appear. Kiryu-kun, the past seven years, you hated me more than anybody didn't you? You stood right by Lila-chans side this entire time, so you saw how much she suffered."

"Stop it."

Stop it, and he doesn't want to hear that. He won't do anything to make Lia side. He won't do that, even if Sumire-san is the main cause of her suffering.

"The wheel will restart if I die. The Queen of the world will see the cause of suffering has vanished and instead will use her powers to mend the current world."

"Even if that is the case, I can't do it."

"Then if you can't, I can."

Kiryu's eyes widened when he heard her say those words. But he knew she was serious. Is she crazy?!

"Let's consider this rationally. If I don't die and sacrifice myself, what do you suppose will happen?"

"Silence, I don't care what happens to the world or civilization. I'm not such a proper person that I can stand for this."

"Oh my, what a coincidence. I must admit I'm the same. I can't claim that I care much about what happens to the world or civilization. But at this rate, Yuhi-san and Lila could die. But if it's for the sake of those two futures. I shall willingly risk my life for those two who showed me how to love the world."

Before Kiryu could say something, somebody grabbed Sumire-sans hand.

The brunette-haired woman laughed. "You found me too quickly, Yuhi."

"Quit messing around." Yuhi sighed and flicked the older woman's forehead. "I found Lila."

Kiryu looked over in the direction of the tree and saw Lila there.

"Then Kiryu-kun can take her back, right?"

Kiryu blinked, puzzled. Wait what?

"Yuhi-san and I need to go on a date." She winked and, with those words, said the two left, leaving him baffled.

Wasn't she just serious a few minutes ago? Just because Yuhi-san stepped in, she will let this matter go? Kiryu felt very odd about this situation, but he knew he would get no answers this way.

Kiryu didn't know what possessed Sumire-san to leave Lila in his hands. He didn't understand why she just left them when she saw how bad his current state was. He didn't take her back to the base, but instead, he took her to a run-down and bȧrėly functioning hotel.

She passed out.

"Lila…Lil…wake up…"

She's not waking.

Stupid, falling asleep so deeply.

Don't you understand how dangerous that is? Especially when he's like this? Lila, if you're awake. He will at least be careful, no matter how passionate he gets and carried away. But, she is fast asleep, lying completely still and vulnerable.

Lila is so beautiful. Kiryu bends down and licks her neck, suċkɨnġ on the same spot, over and over. For the next few minutes, he repeats that same action—his body filled with sweat, and the sounds of his ŀust-filled the room.

"My Lila."

From time to time, he would bring his lips to the girl's ear and repeatedly say those two words.

His other hand had been aggressively piercing on her skin. Damn.

He quickly pulls away, exhales deeply, catches a glimpse in the mirror, and sees his bloodshot, red eyes. It's already bad enough that he's doing this to her.

It's not uncommon for him to drink her blood when she's fast asleep. It's something that they did for many years. But he can't. If he touches this girl now. The blood of the girl he loves that's so sweet, then it would be over. Lila, Lila. He loves her so much, but it's driving him crazy.

He loves her.

But he wants to break her.

He wants to carve his existence in her mind, body, and soul.

It was a single shot from a needle he grabbed from his pocket that stopped him from going any further. He quickly left the room, but remained nearby.

Just one prick, and his entire body felt paralyzed. But it's better than him losing control. Suppose he carried on that way, even if he didn't suck Lila's blood. He would have easily gone to find someone else and even suċkėd them dry.

Just the mere thought of it sends shivers down his spine. After all, something similar happened in the past, and the one who stopped him was his thoughts break of spotting that very person.

"Not well? Kiryu-kun."

"Rosalia."

"What are you doing here?"

"Lila is with me."

"Huh, so you can bring her to this kind of place, too, huh?"

"Yeah."

This is only the second time, though. But, he plans to be more open with her. That's, what she wants, after all. Even so, he must keep it in check. The stuff he did just there when she is sleeping is something he can't show her just yet. It may seem normal, but--his attention breaks, noticing Rosalia staring at him.

"You followed me," Kiryu mumbled.

"Didn't I tell you? I will never let you go."

"Rosalia, what exactly do you want?" Kiryu felt very frustrated. He no longer knew what to do when it came to this woman.

Rosalia laughed. "I came all the way out here to give you a warning Kiryu-kun."

"From Sophia?"

"Right right, the mistress already has Haruka. But she doesn't like the idea that Terashima Lila is alive. I don't either, but I made a deal with you, didn't I? So I came here to warn you in advance."

Ha, she says it is a warning. But the one who wants Lila dead the most is Rosalia.

Rosalia pulled out something from her bag. It was two bottles.

"Poison?"

"Not quite. One of them is a substance that will make her sleep for several centuries. Lila-chan is a pureblood hanyou, and she can keep her appearance the same because of the blood running in her veins. It is similar to vampires who go to sleep every so often."

Kiryu raised his eyebrow at this. This is strange, and he ȧssumed that both options would kill her. But then again, won't it be similar to death? After waking up after so many years, her loved ones will no longer be around, the town she lived in would have changed, nothing would be the same. She will be all alone.

"Lila and I are the same, and she won't be alone."

Rosalia laughed.. "Kiryu-kun, you can't fool me; you don't have a lot of time left."
