Shadow of the Beautiful World

One day in June 2019, I wrote the beginning of "Shadow Trails".

At that time, I didn't know that this book would be so long.

Until one day in June 2020, I typed these four words on the keyboard.

This means that another book is over.

I am relieved.

This feeling of relief is different from the previous few times.

It's hard to describe.

I don't know whether it was the release after bitterness, or finally the hardest part of the road.

This book is quite special.

There were too many problems in its early, mid and late stages.

These questions come from me personally.

My design, control, understanding and manipulation of it have almost deviated from my original plan in every aspect.

But it cannot be said that this book is a failure.

It's just not as smooth as the previous ones. Within a preset frame, I tried to fill in too much content. The world I wanted to express was not born under my pen.

This is a big lesson.

Just like we are walking on the road of life, as long as we are still working hard, making mistakes is inevitable.

Except for the geniuses who are born to know, who can walk all the way to the top of the preset goal without making mistakes?

At the end of this moment, my mood became very relaxed.

No longer entangled in how to reverse those mistakes, I have worked hard to fix the flaws in the plot and story as much as possible.

Of course, this is inherently flawed.

I still remember that when the book was opened, some "readers" made bold predictions that this book is over, it will definitely not be written to the end, and it will definitely collapse.

That would make me very angry. I tried to prove to them that my work was not as unbearable as they said.

But then a lot of things happened, the changes in the general environment, the violent turmoil in the industry, and the epidemic in 2020, just like a torrent of sea water holding my book and me forward.

I think it may not have met the expectations of readers, nor has it achieved my original vision.

But it cannot be regarded as a failure.

I can list clearly organized rebuttals to tell those who were despondents that this book ended with a complete system.

But maybe, we can also not do that.

Throw those doubts and abuse behind your ears, accept your own setbacks, admit your shortcomings, and bury your head in the curse.

I deeply realize that it's really time for me to change the battlefield.

It's not that I lost my love for my colleagues.

In fact, I still have too many fan stories I want to write, but after all, I still have to look forward and go to the original stars and find the star that belongs to me.

Embark on a strange starting point, to find your own way.

My writing lacks a kind of power, lacks penetrating power, lacks certain feelings and ideas that can be carried.

I still don’t know what I want it to carry, but I will try to find it.

In the postscript chapter of this book, I added a brief introduction to the next book, trying to break through my inherent writing style.

Say goodbye to your doujin for now and try the original.

This is certainly risky, but now is the time for self-change.

After all, it has been delayed for too long.

This is something that should have been done long ago, but it has been delayed until now, but fortunately, it is not too late to start.

Then, wash away the dust and rest well.

Then at dawn, bid farewell to the past, drink a glass of wine, and embark on a new prison.
