RWBY: Fireborn

It's been just over three years since Logan arrived in Patch. Tai and Summer have been quite accommodating and Logan had become to think of Ruby and Yang as good friends. He would have thought of them as sisters if it wasn't for Yang hitting on him when she turned thirteen and over hearing Ruby confine to her mother that she doesn't think of Logan as family but she does like him. In summery, Logan's time spent with Tai and his family was odd to say the least. Logan also started Signal with Yang so that he could keep a time frame till the start of RWBY's story and Ruby started two years after Logan and Yang joined Signal. However, there have been a few issues along the way.

One was that Logan was an early riser. This wouldn't have been a problem as the first thing he does is workout in the yard. But it was afterwards that Logan would go and take a shower. And this more then once ended up with Logan walking in on whoever was in there at the time as Logan's workout varies in length. A 'Please knock' sign was then stuck to the door.

Second, Logan was extremely mȧturė for his age. Insisting on ether helping around the house and doing daily chores or getting some sort of a job to help pay for the bills. Tai, Summer, and Logan had to talk and discus; basically argue, with Logan about it. It took a while until Tai and Summer learned that Logan grew up with the saying 'You don't work, you don't eat' mentality when he turned five. Tai and Logan took turns bartering with each other over the 'rent' for Logan staying here. It ended with Logan agreeing to helping out around the house when he was needed and that he had to find a way to make lien himself. And any, if at all, payment for the 'rent' would be the first every three months and Tai would get one percent of what Logan could make. Tai thought and hoped that Logan would ether forget or not make anything worth while. The joke was on him when three months later when Logan dropped a few hundred lien in front of him one day. All Logan said was "Here's the rent", which caused Summer to snort into her drink and Qrow, who just got back from a mission and heard about the deal, to laugh out loud. Tai was, as anyone would be, stunned at Logan's action and decided to leave him be for now on.

Three, whenever Logan was training with Ruby and Yang, he would use a different weapon every time. When Tai asked why Logan did this, Logan responded with, "They won't be just fighting Grimm, but people as well. So it's better to have a feel how other weapons will used against them." Tai couldn't find fault with Logan's reasoning, but was slightly unnerved because Logan was spinning a cane he formed with his ash. At their feet were both Ruby and Yang panting after a four hour long spar with Logan using a cane. Logan then told them that their training for today was done. But as the two were walking away, Logan told them what tomorrow's weapon will be: A frying pan. Tai was proven once again that Logan was no slouch when it came to random weapons the day after as he watched Logan wipe the floor with it. He did all of this while helping Ruby and Yang improve with their weapon of chose. Needless to say, Ruby and Yang hated Logan's training, but couldn't hate him as he would always give them great advice to work off on.

Fourth was when Logan and Yang just started school at Signal. As Logan and Yang entered the school, the two of them saw several students ganging up on a few young Faunus. Yang was disgusted by the behavior and Logan was pissed, but when they saw a Teacher walk past the group, the Teacher encouraged them to hit harder. Yang was about to jump in, but Logan held her back and told her to start recording what was happening on her scroll. Yang was confused, but trusted Logan and did what he said. Logan then confronted the Teacher about it right next to the bullies. When Logan asked if she was going to do anything about it, she openly said that "All Faunus are nothing but animals, they should be happy to even be near Humans at all." Logan then asked that wasn't she supposed to be a neural towards students and stop any and all violence. The Teacher just scoffed and walked away. Logan then turned towards the bullies who decided to gang up on him since he was defending the Faunus. Logan didn't hesitate to knock all of them out with ease.

The Teacher then can screaming back verbally abusing, insulting, and even going as far as slapping Logan for what he done. Yang then about jumped in, but the Headmaster came in after hearing about a fight. The Teacher then claimed that she saw everything and that Logan was responsible for the Faunus kid's injuries and the students 'who tried to stop him'. Logan then defended himself with what really happened; the Teacher kept interrupting saying that he was lying. Yang then realized why Logan had her recording everything. She quickly then made a separate copy of the video and then showed it to the Headmaster. Needless to say what happened next.

Out of everything that happened, Summer was the happiest. Part for Logan and Yang helping those in trouble and part for that Teacher getting fired and arrested. Logan managed to figure out why from her; turned out that the Teacher kept trying to get Tai to sleep with her even though she knew he was married. Only Tai had a problem as she taught half of the combat class and AP mathematics. Tai had little issue with taking the combat class over fully, but he didn't know how to teach AP mathematics class since they had little time to find a replacement. Tai learned along the way and Logan pitied him and helped him as well.

During all this time, Logan had been busy aside from school. Logan got a small part time job at a small workshop that did an ȧssortment of things. The owner was an old man that made a deal with Logan; basically, as long as Logan work he would get pay minimum wage. Logan didn't mind and went with it. With the extra lien from it, Logan acquired the necessary materials and funds to buy/build an smg. Since Logan couldn't use that scrap pistol, Logan just built something that could shoot the .45 ACP ammunition he wasted his lien on. With the short list of semi-modern Sub-caliber machine guns Logan had in his head, Logan decided to make something unique to himself as he wanted something new.

Taking the design of the 'Colt M1911' as a base, Logan got to work. The first thing Logan modified with the design was the barrel and slide. Extending them to 14 inches long, and then moving the magazine and firing mechanism to the front of the trigger guard and turned the old mag-well into a stock adapter. The receiver was further modified to have a select fire system that includes; single fire, three round burst, and full auto. Then the slide was reinforced to handle the modifications. After that, Logan moved to the underside of the barrel and magazine, adding a picatinny rail with a folding forward grip. He had also adapted the new mag-well to take double stacked magazines and thanks to dust, each magazine has a different type of ammunition.

When Ruby asked Logan what the name of his gun was, he was stumped. Logan never thought of his weapons as a part of him, but a tool to get the job done. Logan didn't answer Ruby because he didn't know what to name it. Summer, who was nearby, heard this and told Logan to take his time and it will come to him. Logan agreed and then left it for another day.

Logan is currently bored out of his mind. He is currently sitting through an 'Aura and Semblance' class as it was required for any and all aspiring Hunters or Huntresses. The teacher, Professor Marble, was going on and on about aura theory and possible uses even though the year was almost up and by now the class would have had their aura unlocked and long have moved on to testing/training their aura. The class was mainly full of Faunus kids and kids that had got into trouble after helping the Faunus kids out when they were getting bullied. Logan was in here due to him slapping several bullies with his wings during combat training. Professor Marbles, who heavily disliked Faunus, had changed his ways to torment them after what happened to one teacher. So he started going over unnecessary lessons for the class, give out massive amounts of homework that he never 'find' the time to grade, and go over the same lesson now and again. Doing everything he can legally do to make them fail. But he didn't count on Logan, who was secretly recording every lesson, and that his time was soon up.

The bell then rang and as everyone was packing, Professor Marbles gave them a essay that was due that Monday. The very same Monday that the finals were gonna start and grading has long since closed for any missed or late work. Logan, as he left with the class with all the kids grumbling, saved and sent a copy straight to the Headmaster. Logan then headed to his next class, which he was happy about. Workshop with a Teacher named Hertha, a no none sense woman that will and has thrown out kids from her class. She stood tall at six foot three inches, tanned skin, dark grey hair, bright electric blue eyes, a brick wall of muscle, a robotic arm made for the shop, plus happily married and a mother of two. Hertha and Logan got along quite well as Logan's personality and hers as nether of them can't stand people who mess around. Logan started to remember all the times he had to knock someone out who was playing with power-tools and she just watched with a smirk.

Logan was then snapped out of his reminiscing by a scream. Rushing to the source, Logan came upon Hertha on the ground in a rapidity forming pool of blood. His instincts sharpened in an instant. Dodge rolling behind a massive wooden workbench made from red oak, as several suppressed gunshots hit where he once stood. Logan drew his Stampede revolver and [Avernus MK1] knife, as he was a part of the Hunter training course, he was allowed to carry his weapons. Dashing out from cover, Logan drew a line across the entire classroom but found nothing. Logan's instincts were still screaming at him that he wasn't alone in the room with Hertha. Jumping away from here he stood, Logan ran behind another workbench as several more rounds smacked were he once was. Logan then remembered his [Presence Detection (Passive)], Logan activated it then scanned the room again. That's when he felt it, standing near Hertha, there was something. What? Logan could not tell, but that it was humanoid.

Logan opened fired at ċhėst height of what ever it is with three shots. Whatever it was, it didn't make that much noise, but Logan's monster of a revolver sure did. All three shots rang loud throughout the school. The first shot was a miss, the second grazed it's shoulder, and the third was directly in it's right shoulder. Blood ran down it's shoulder as it ran and it dropped what looked like a suppressed mac 11. Not wasting any time, Logan open fired with two shots where it's waist would be while dodging more fire. One shot was only a graze and the other was a miss. As Logan and his attacker hid behind workbenches, Logan activated his [Aura Pulse] to disappear and sent an ash made clone in the opposite direction he went. The thing opened fired at the clone as Logan snuck up on it. As his clone got hit, Logan de-cloaked behind the humanoid thing and with a heavy pistol-whip, the thing dropped. Logan recalled his ash and bound the now see-able human up while stuffing his wounds with ash and searing them closed. Logan then rushed to Hertha and used his remaining ash and flames to seal her wound closed. As he tore off his shirt to make a bandage, Tai ran into the room and saw what Logan was doing. Calling on his scroll, Tai got an ambulance to rush to the school as several teachers/huntsmen came in as well. The Headmaster came running in and demanded to know what was going on and Logan just gestured to the bound man that he just had a firefight with. The headmaster didn't have much time as the police came rushing in with the medics right behind them. The headmaster then left the officers handle it as they took Logan for his statement as the medics left with Hertha. And Tai was right behind them while calling Yang and telling her what to do, before calling Summer.
