Ring Ring

23 An operation

By the time we got to the castle, the area was already dim.

Once the carriage stops, Shiori asks what's going on out the window. At the front there was a large gate I was accustomed to seeing, on the way to being slowly opened at the behest of a blonde knight.

When the gate opens completely, the carriage moves out again. Shiori grabbed the wooden window frame so as not to fall due to its vibration.

At the side of the gate was a pine light, and its every swinging flame lit up a certain figure outside.

I also know Shiori very well, that's the gatekeeper. Tall, brown hair......

As soon as he passed the gate, he also caught his eye on the poetry weave in the carriage, solidifying his expression like a little.

I can't afford the poetry weave today enough to laugh at its astonished face. I rubbed it off without speaking from the carriage.

"Um..."

A few seconds late, I heard a rushed voice coming from the outside. I didn't see it from the poetry weave that finished passing through the gate, but it seems the gatekeeper tried to speak to the blonde knight.

But the voice was erased by the sound of the carriage moving and didn't seem to reach the blonde knight. Leaving the gatekeeper on the spot, the carriages and knights with poetry weaves entered the castle grounds.

Would it have gone another five minutes or so, rocked by a carriage? Through a small gate delimiting the grounds, Shiori was unloaded from the carriage at a distance from the castle.

There was a stone building in front of me, but unlike a beautiful and gorgeous castle, it gave rise to a shady and cold atmosphere somewhere.

I wanted to shy away from entering this building if I could, but that hope broke down. The blonde knight pulls me and walks inside through the entrance and exit where the watch stands.

Is it because of the structure with few windows? The interior was as dim as it was outside, and only the lights of the lamps installed at equal intervals blurred illuminating the hallway. The air was heavy, well cold, and Shiori shrugged his neck softly.

Through a heavy iron door, passing next to a staircase leading down to the basement. Somehow, I was horrified that the destination I was headed to wasn't underground, but it didn't change the situation. I say I imagined it, but I open my eyes again to the sight that was spreading at the end of the hallway.

Prison...... is it? Closed small rooms made of stone lined up in shifts, each with a sturdy iron door with a peek window. There were six rooms just confirmed by Shiori.

Shiori frightened his expression wondering if he could be put in this prison.

"Here... what? Prison?"

Towards a blonde knight walking in front, he asks in horror.

He stopped in front of the door in the room in front of him.

"I'm not exactly a storekeeper. It's underground. This is where people like you are kept in custody. You're not a sinner yet, you're a suspect."

But I am convinced that you are a sinner. The knight's tone was unspeakable.

Gigi...... and when the heavy door of the detention room opened with a deafening sound, the blonde knight shoved his poetic body into it. And turning to the other knights,

"I'm headed to the captain for a report. I'll be right back, so be ready for questioning."

That's right. I'm leaving with instructions. Listening to his footsteps echoing in the hallway, Shiori looked around the room with a blue face. I told you blonde knights aren't, but isn't this usually a bartender? and so on.

There is just one simple bed in the room. The wall opposite the door had windows for ventilation, but there was an iron lattice on top of the small, with no openness whatsoever.

Cold, dark, heavy, unforgiving. That's the impression of this place.

The fear struck my chest that if the iron door closed, I would never be able to go out into the light of day again, and I was relieved.

I thought I'd gotten used to this world too, Poetry Weaving, but I still change my perception that this place is' foreign 'to me. Don't be afraid of being imprisoned in a foreign country.

I'm sure no one here has any allies. It's going to scream so thin.

Crust......! and unexpectedly asks him for help in his heart.

but it can be difficult to get Crust to save this situation. Though he's a hero, he's a knight in the first place. I don't know what the hell charges are against me, but I don't think the knight is free to release the suspect.

But just because he's on his side and he says, "It's okay," I think it's pretty reassuring. Then I can stay in the barn and keep my mind normal.

I want to see Crust.

Shiori hoped so much stronger than ever, but at the same time disciplines herself that it is no good.

As you can call the crust here, as you can see him...... Shiori imagined, closing her eyes to bitterness.

As long as I can see him-- I can only bother.

If Crust, who is currently in the position of 'suspect' and a national hero, finds out around him that he knows him, his position could get worse.

I might even lose talking about marrying a princess. If we were to crush his glorious future...

With that in mind, Shiori embraced herself all the time. We have to fight alone. I can't even rely on Roche right now.

I wonder what is going on with the judicial system in this country. Will you also listen to the suspect properly? Wouldn't he be tortured until he confessed his sins, or dropped in a fountain tied up by saying, "Loose in God's judgment" or something?

I heard a voice from behind me in a poetic weave trembling anxiously.

"Get your arms out."

One of the knights was walking into the room. The door remains open, but there are no other knights in the hallway.

"Cut the rope. In the room, you're supposed to remove the restraint unless you go wild."

said the knight with a knife in one hand. Based on his tone and expression, he sees Shiori properly as a 'suspect'. I mean, how he thinks you're a person who's not a sinner yet, who could be innocent. —— Unlike a blonde knight.

With his wrist rope untied, Shiori was remembering the hateful face of that blonde knight. He looks arrogant and great......

But in fact, maybe it's great there in the Knights. At least of the four knights who were in the store, their position should be at the top.

Think that far and hold your head "what shall I do?" What did you do to him?

On your knees, where it matters, kick--

Shiori covered her face with both hands.

(What shall I do, what shall I do? I may have done something terrible! In him, my impression should suck. I'm sure that will have a negative impact on the investigation after this. I wish I had been more adult when I met them at our store. I should have done what that blonde knight said without running or resisting and said "I don't know anything" more calmly!

Shiori bit her lip a long time.

(Would it be too late to apologize now? Will you forgive me? Though I don't think it's too bad to apologize for not doing anything wrong —— honestly, I don't think it's too bad to have kicked him -- if my fate changes at the decision of a blonde knight, I'd like to make him feel a little better. If it's to get out of here, it's nothing like being charmed by that disgusting knight)

It was such a determined poetic weave, but some of me moaned in the back of my mind, "How could I see this?" "Why should I care about that knight when this side is being treated unfairly".

Tears crept into my eyes because of remorse, anxiety and finesse.

This is not Japan. I do not know how investigations and interrogations will take place or whether my human rights will be respected.

I'm in an absolutely vulnerable position right now. That's what I thought, and Shiori really wanted to cry.

Reduce the tears that creep up and snort small.

A knight enters the room with two wooden chairs with no backrest, rattling and making noise. Placing it across the street, I urged him to sit in the poetry weave.

Stop blinking and obey adults while being careful not to let the Shizuku accumulate in your eyeballs fall.

I still prefer not to defy poorly. I haven't really done anything, so I just have to plead grandiose, but truly innocent, without rumbling. Shiori held his trembling hand strongly in small pieces.

"Are you ready?

A blonde knight's voice echoed from behind the hallway. I can tell right away because it feels conceited. Shiori turned his head when he heard the knight in front of the room say yes, if he didn't stand around well.

The blonde knight seems to have a high pride, so this one might as well be done in a way that invites sympathy while it goes poorly.

You even use the tears that are about to overflow right now to sue your innocence.

"We're gonna start interrogation."

The blonde knight who came into the detention room looked down at Shiori with an arrogant gaze with a thin laugh somewhere. It feels like I'm willing to start a tight interrogation--a poetry weave fig named...

Curtailing his desire to rebel, Shiori frowned softly. I look up at him with my eyes moistened with tears.

……

—— and at that moment, Shiori felt a response to the reaction of a knight who glanced at him with a slight surprise.

If dull self has something called 'Woman's Inquiry', that intuition is saying it now.

It's okay, go with this operation. The other person has a simpler personality than I thought.
