Ride and Cut

Chapter 48: Minotaus

"It's really shaking." Gunther simply got down on his ears and gestured for Hutt to come over and listen after a while.

"We centaur can't get down." Hutt stood outside the house, looking embarrassed.

Richard returned all the jelly beans to the dwarf who was about to lose and cried, and did not forget to warn him that he would dare to gamble in the future and wait to be beaten.

"Let's go, all the alpine castles are assembled." He patted the floating soil on his buttocks and took the lead towards the camp of the dwarf warriors.

Their movement alarmed the guards who were standing guard in shifts. They asked suspiciously, "My lord, what's the matter?"

Not far from the arrow tower, a few powerful and low horns suddenly sounded, "Enemy attack!" The sentry shouted desperately.

was waking up quickly at the sleeping camp, and for a while, he could only hear the sound of messy footsteps. The dwarf warriors did not take off their armor when they slept, and their weapons were pressed under their pillows, so that they could prepare for battle quickly after they were awake.

The sky is already a little dark, or it is the so-called "the easiest moment to relax before dawn". However, Lord Lord thinks this statement should be nonsense. He sees that the dwarf sentry has always been rotated on time, and has always maintained a high degree of vigilance.

"Who is here this time?" Richard was too lazy to talk to Robbie, and directly talked to the oldest fighter among the dwarves.

This old man is called Sendak. Since the current clan leader is a hairless little boy, he is now essentially serving as the highest military commander of the tribe.

Sendak only exchanged a few gestures with the sentry upstairs, and said to Richard:

   "Bloodhoof Tribe."

"Minotaur?" When Lord Lord exchanged information with Annie before, this tribe was emphasized many times, so he was deeply impressed.

"Yes." The dwarf's stone face is usually hard to see any fluctuations in expression, but at this time the seriousness of the old dwarf's face can be seen even by a blind man.

Minotaur is also called the Tauren, and it is also a relatively rare race in the wilderness. The overall shape can be seen as a smart scalper walking upright.

From this point of view, they are different from other half-orcs. Whether they are bearmen or werewolves, they are more like humans than beasts, while Minotaur is more like beasts than humans.

Although they look so cool as a scalper, their temperament can't be matched with meekness. In fact, they are a very, very tyrannical race.

Minotaur lives on meat and is passionate about war and killing. Most of the members are either fighting or fighting on the road throughout their lives.

These are not enough to make them stand out from the wild heroes. What is really important is that the adult Minotaurs are super strong men with a height of three blades and a weight of nearly 1,000 pounds!

From a purely physical condition, they are born to be the best heavy infantry. But Minotaur has a fatal flaw-the discipline of this race is really too poor, once it gets into a state of fighting, it will enter a state called "semi-madness".

Under the semi-madness, Minotaur’s original terrifying power and endurance will be further enhanced, completely turning into a tireless killing machine. It is a pity that there are advantages and disadvantages, and the fighting spirit that fills their brains will also make them completely unconstrained.

This is a fatal flaw at the level of the big army. They will not only fall into chaos, but also disperse the friendly formation. Several human generals who tried to tame Minotaur have swallowed the bitter fruit of their defeat.

But if it is only limited to the scale of tribal conflict, this feature is not only not a defect, it can even be regarded as an advantage, because their opponents often have no discipline at all.

"How are you going to deal with them?" Richard was curious.

These short-dumped warriors were stacked on top of each other, and they had to jump to be almost as tall as Minotaur. It stands to reason that even if they had some equipment advantages, they still couldn't fight at all.

But since the dwarf tribe has persisted for so long without being breached, it is enough to show that they are definitely not without the strength to fight back, otherwise it should be Minotaur who is staying here now.

"The tauren is very impulsive, and we may let them be alone with a little temptation." Sendak seemed to tell Richard, and it seemed to be just mumbling to cheer himself up, "Then we dwarf warriors have the opportunity to swarm up and kill. he!"

"..." Lord Lord heard his head, he felt that the two links of "slightly seducing" and "catch up" might not be as easy as it sounds.

"And they are too tall, unless they bend over, it will be difficult to hit us." Robbie just came out of the house and added a sentence.

Imagined the scene of Minotaur stooping hard during the battle. Lord Lord unconsciously curled his mouth twice, Gunther and Hurt also leaned together and laughed.

"Heshuai, you are too tall, I am afraid it is dangerous today." Gunther said solemnly.

"Gangshuai, you are not short." Hutt was not to be outdone.

Richard is really convinced that he can do this in order to protect the so-called "God-given mines", that is, a stubborn dwarf.

From the standpoint of Alpine Fort, of course, I hope the dwarf persists for as long as possible. But if you think about it in another way, Richard can no longer understand this insistence. The dwarf shouldn't understand the truth that the earth survives and everyone perishes.

"How many soldiers do they have?" Richard set up his binoculars~www.readwn.com~ and looked in the direction indicated by the sentry.

"It's more than forty," Sendak said, "There were close to sixty, but we killed a dozen, and there are hundreds of goatmen vassals."

Richard put down the lens barrel. After all, the telescope can only look far away but not at night. With the current lighting conditions, it is still difficult to see places that are too far away.

But he didn't wait long, and soon everyone could see some vague dark shadows approaching in the distance.

At such a distance, it is difficult to intuitively feel the strength of Minotaur. Only when you see the sheep's heads around, can you suddenly realize how huge the real body shape of those dark shadows is through the background of the dwarf people.

"Good fellow, this piece is big enough." Compared with the nervous dwarves around, Richard looked relaxed, as if he didn't even realize how terrible Minotaur was.

"How many arrows do we have on our bed crossbow?" Robbie suddenly turned his head to look at the arrow tower.

The sentinel responded quickly: "The patriarch, there are only six."

Richard and Sendak looked at each other, and both saw helplessness in each other's eyes.

Robbie is really too tender — things like ammunition reserves shouldn’t be asked in public at all to avoid having a bad impact on the morale of the army.

Now the little soldiers know that they will become dumb after a few shots of their crossbows. The probability that they are pleased with this should, perhaps, 80% not be particularly high.

"Master Richard, please serve as a reserve stormtrooper. Our dwarves will try our best to divide and withstand their pressure."

Lord Lord couldn't help being in awe after hearing this-this old man was a kind man, and he didn't want to let the friendly troops who came for reinforcements to take on the task of direct confrontation with Minotaur, although that was almost certainly the stage of the heaviest casualties.
