Reborn as Kobe

Chapter 47: Legendary data

George Carr is a very experienced coach, but it is said that clever women can't afford to cook without rice. In the face of obvious defects in the lineup, he is also a little at a loss. The biggest headache for George Carr now is that there is no player in the Supersonics who can beat O'Neal, which is why Kobe mentioned that the position of the organization forward is so destructive.

During the break, Karl adjusted the Sonics players, admonishing his disciples to attack the basket more, reduce outside shots, and ensure offensive efficiency. It is best to cause O'Neal foul trouble. Of course, these are helpless actions. There is no stable pitcher on the perimeter of the Supersonics, so they can only take this approach.

After the start of the second quarter, Kobe began to be entangled by Gary Payton, which made Kobe's scoring and assists very efficient. Kobe didn't worry about it and started running without the ball.

There are no loopholes on the defensive end of the Sonics, but the offensive side is still very difficult, almost all relying on Sean Kemp. There is no way, Cummings and Hawkins on the outside shot unstable, Schramff on the inside defended O'Neal exhausted all his energy, and the offensive end didn’t even need to be considered.

However, George Carr has some use in allowing the players to dominate the inside. Maybe the referee does not want to lose the suspense prematurely. Even though it is at the Lakers' home court, O'Neal also quickly committed two offenses and was replaced by Harris with Campbell.

After O'Neal's exit, Kobe's position became more and more blurred, frequently changing positions with Eddie Jones and Robert Horry, swinging back and forth between the third and fourth positions. Under the guidance of Kobe's pass, the score of both sides was gradually pulled apart.

After the opening of the third quarter, O'Neal played less than five minutes after his appearance, and the two offenders were replaced again. Harris had no choice but to explain Kobe to take on some scoring tasks. Kobe started firing from the outside and hit three consecutive three-pointers. George Carr was forced to call a timeout, which suppressed Kobe's feel.

By the end of the third quarter, Kobe had scored 42 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. This performance has broken many rookie records and the field score has become 60:81. The outcome is determined.

Harris didn't let Kobe take a break at the end. I don't know what he thinks. Maybe he wants Kobe to play beautiful numbers like everyone else. Maybe he wants to ease the relationship with Kobe, maybe there are unknown reasons. Kobe did not reject this superficial goodwill and continued to attack on the court.

As long as Kobe has the ball, the entire Staples fans will start chanting "MVP", which makes O'Neal off the court very jealous, and Harris also smiles satisfied when he sees this situation.

The Lakers have successively placed substitutes in other positions, center Tyre Snight, power forward Campbell, perimeter Corsi and Fisher. Except for Campbell, these four have average offense, but they have plenty of energy and defense is not a problem.

Under Kobe's command, the Lakers' formation was opened wider. Fisher stood at the bottom left corner. Knight stepped forward and gave Kobe a pick-and-roll screen. Campbell mentioned that Kobe passed the ball from the high post and Corsi blocked Shaw. Encamp, let Kobe take the ball heads-up Payton.

Kobe was not polite, and he jumped out of the three-point line with two pretends, and before Payton came up, he made a three-pointer. Kobe feels very hot today. He made two three-pointers in front of Payton. Payton gritted his teeth but couldn’t do anything. Payton did everything he needed to do. It was almost trash talking, but Kobe handled the ball and Unreasonable, but he is really committed and can not be treated with common sense at all.

Seeing that Payton could not defend himself by himself, Hawkins stepped forward to double-team Kobe, and then Kobe's pass came again.

Both sides played very fast in the final quarter and turnovers began to increase, but the score was deadlocked.

Here, Sean Kemp hits the basket straight in the middle, catches Payton's long pass, and relies on the terror bounce air relay to directly slam dunk. Kobe directly dribbled the ball over there, and without waiting for his teammates to be seated, he jumped from a forty-five degree one step away to the right of the three-point line and shot, and also scored three points.

With four minutes left in the game, Kobe had already got 55 points, 16 rebounds and 18 assists. George Cole requested a timeout and replaced all the Sonics' main players. Kobe also volunteered to leave the field.

Kobe's game data was played on the big screen in the center of the stadium. All Staples fans got up and the whole arena burst into applause.

The Magician sighed: "I just passed a data sheet in my hand. The last time someone played this kind of defying data, it dates back to 1975, when Kareem Abdul-Jabbar scored 50 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists. Twenty-five years have passed now."

The host Linke praised: "Kobe has created a new history for the playoffs. I think at this time he has been shoulder to shoulder with the legend. I don't know how to evaluate him, the strongest rookie in league history? I think this far Far from enough."

The Lakers won 117-94. O'Neal was troubled by fouls and played only 26 minutes, scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks and 3 assists. The five Lakers scored in double figures.

The four of the Sonics scored in double figures and received a disastrous defeat.

Sean Kemp shot 12 of 23, 6 of 7 free throws, 30 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks. His stats are good, but he covered his head with a towel in depression before he finished playing.

Gary Payton's face is even more ugly, he doesn't know what the media will say about himself tomorrow. As the core of the team, he played forty-two minutes, making 7 of 18 shots, 1 of 1 three-pointers, 4 of 4 free throws, only 19 points, 3 rebounds and 13 assists, in addition to 4 turnovers.

Amidst the cheers of the fans, the players of both sides shook hands symbolically, and the Sonics returned to the locker room dingy.

George Carr is very confused now. He doesn't know how to line up the next game. Kobe's uncertain factors make him too headache. O'Neal's strength is even more terrifying. It can be said that Kobe's chaotic entry made O'Neal enter the killer mode two years earlier. It is estimated that within two seasons, the league will need to reform again.

After all, the referee cannot dominate the game, unless the referee is frantic, but the league is still under the rule of the smiling tiger David Stern~www.readwn.com~ There is no joke that has no bottom line after coming to power.

Many reporters wanted to interview Kobe on the court. He simply said a few words to thank the coach and his teammates, and then he hurried back to the locker room.

This time Harris did not open the locker room for interviews. All reporters can only wait for the press conference. Kobe's data in this game is too terrifying, which Harris did not expect to fuel the flames.

At the press conference after the game, everyone turned their fire on Kobe.

A reporter from the New York Times asked: "Mr. Bryant, what is your evaluation of this game?"

Bryant replied: "This game was troubled by Shaquille fouls. I can only take on more offensive responsibilities under the advice of the coach. I never thought that my hand feels so good. God bless us. We won. This is the most important."

A reporter from Entertainment Weekly asked: "Break historical records and become the highest triple-double player in the playoffs. What do you think is the most important thing?"

Bryant said cautiously: "Behind the data cannot be separated from the support of coaches and teammates. Without them, I would not be able to do this. Everyone likes data, and I am no exception. After all, this is an honor, but I hope to do it. The premise of these is that it will not harm teammates or the team. Compared to victory, everything else is irrelevant. Victory requires everyone to unite because we are a team. No brothers, no basketball!"

A reporter from the Los Angeles Times asked: "Are you confident to win the next game?"

"Of course, we have the best coaching team, the best players such as Shaquille, Robert, Jones, Nick, the best boss, general manager, and the best fans. We are extremely strong, and we will eventually win all."
