Nihilist

Chapter -5 - ( • forget • )

A curse has bestowed upon my mind

Just as it has for every other

The distinct feeling

To forget something

you beg to remember

For I have stored too much

I have covered the memories

In a thick blanket of a thousand others

If you think of it

If you really consider it

What does that memory become?

A lost piece of time

Never to be grasped again

Floating in an infinite void

Drifting away into nothingness

If you only do it

To forget

What happens when I forget something greater?

More than a memory

More than a person

That once held millions

More than a society

Whose structures built to remember them

Had fallen into the earth

When they dėsɨrėd to touch the stars

There is only one thing

I won't ever forget

It has seeded within my mind

A constant thought haunting my memories

And consuming them for its purpose

And it is the idea

Of being forgotten

- Forget
