When he opened the door, shock appeared on his face at what he saw. What was supposed to be a long tunnel was a large grass field.

At that moment, he realized that he was in a genjutsu, "Release!"

The scenery changed.

Sasori was back inside the warehouse standing away from his warehouse. In front of him was a sitting Smiles facing him.

"That was a nice fight, could be better though. Are you going to join the Akatsuki now?" Smiles asked as if Sasori didn't beat him in the illusion.

Sasori didn't respond.

"Sigh… I guess I still need to continue persuading you. How 'bout this, I bet one ryo that you will join the Akatsuki today."

Sasori released his threads and manipulated ten puppets. He watched Smiles take out a scroll and summon a long chain, swinging it rapidly.

"Don't die, please."

Komushi was gleefully walking towards Sasori's warehouse. The treatment for his injury had finished healing, so it was fine for him to be out and about. He was going to Sasori in hopes that his friend would help him with his arm-less situation.

From what he remembered, Sasori was working on prosthetics when he last saw him. Even if Sasori rejected his plea, he wouldn't mind. He could always go to other puppet manufacturers.

Komushi suddenly stopped when he saw the entrance to the warehouse or what was left of it. There was now a giant hole. He frantically ran to the warehouse and entered through the hole, "Sasori! Are you okay?!"

The warehouse was completely wrecked. Parts of puppets were all over the place. The walls, floors, and ceilings were riddled with holes and craters. There was even a little fire to the side.

At the center of the room was Sasori. His outfit was torn. His once beautiful skin was now covered in bruises. Blood dripped onto the floor from his head.

Strangely, he seemed unfazed by his injuries. He was more focused on looking at the object in his hand.

Hearing the call, Sasori turned towards Komushi, "Your injury has healed?"

"Who cares about me! Sasori, are you okay? What happened? Was there an intruder?" Komushi barraged him with questions.

"Nothing happened. Here, I prepared this for you when I heard about your injuries." Sasori handed him a box. Komushi opened it, revealing the wooden prosthetic. Sasori continued, "There's a blade in it dipped with poison so be careful. You need to use chakra threads to use it."

"Ah… Thanks? But Sasori, are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm fine. I'm going to go look for grandma Chiyo. Don't follow me." Sasori answered and walked past him.

Just as he left the warehouse through the large hole, he saw his grandmother rushing towards him.

"Sasori! Are you okay? What happened!"

Irritated by the same question, he ignored her questions, "Can you treat me?"

"Of course, I can! I'll treat you right now."

"Fine. We will speak about this after you are healed. But please, tell me who did this when I finish treating you."

'I hope he goes through with my offer. I used [Basic Gambling] so the odds should be in my favor if that's how the skill works.'

Yukio was inside his personal dungeon, wrapping bandages around his injuries. He had somehow defeated Sasori. Before he left, Yukio gave Sasori a wooden token that had the word Akatsuki carved into it.

He also gave him an instruction to meet somewhere else after their respective wounds healed.

From the start of the fight to the end, Yukio received multiple notifications. He had ignored all of them so that he could focus on the battle. Now was time for him to check it.
