Naruto - A Cursed System

Yukio stood out in the heavy rain as he silently observed Yahiko giving out food to the starving children of Amegakure. When the last child came and left with food in their hands, Yahiko walked towards Yukio with eyes filled with pity and sadness.

"Let's go, Yukio," Yahiko said as he passed by his little brother.

Yukio didn't say anything, he only nodded his head and followed after him.

Yukio and Yahiko were currently on a short expedition at Amegakure. They were out here to give out free food to those in need and obtain any relevant information about the war.

It was the first time that Yukio had went out to collect information. Usually, the original trio would go by themselves, but they decided to make use of Yukio's stealth capabilities.

Konan and Nagato stayed behind at the hut to train more while Yahiko and Yukio went to Amegakure.

From time to time, Yahiko would be greeted by those who knew of his generosity. Most of the village's citizens knew about Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato's charity works. They appreciated the fact that there were some shinobi who cared for their lives.

While Yahiko was the bright light that attracted the citizens, Yukio stood at the back and watched everything happen.

Although it may look like they weren't gathering info, Yahiko actually was. By interacting with the citizens, they learned some rumors about Amegakure's role and place in the third shinobi war.

To learn about the other villages, they would need to gain the information directly from Amegakure's officials and ninjas.

After two hours, the duo started to gather information. Yukio was the key player in gathering the information.

Yahiko trusted Yukio and his skills enough to leave him alone and continued helping the citizens.

When night fell, Yukio and Yahiko left Amegakure and returned to the hut.

"Yahiko! Yukio! You're back!" Konan greeted and welcomed them, "Just in time for dinner!"

Nagato had just finished cooking a large crab that he had picked up from the lake. As they ate the cooked crab, Nagato asked about the results of the intelligence-gathering expedition, "What have you guys learned?"

Yahiko answered, "Let's start with Amegakure, first. The village is recovering steadily from the damages it had suffered during the second shinobi war. Although the population was critically reduced, it is extremely likely for a population increase after the war ends."

After a couple of minutes of Yahiko explaining, it was time for Yukio's report. Yukio explained how several officials were planning to leave Amegakure soon. Their actions suggested that they believed that they were in danger if they stayed in the village any longer.

Not only that, Yukio had heard some high-ranking shinobi talking about movements from two of the great shinobi villages; specifically, Iwagakure and Konohagakure. It was likely that both of the villages will be fighting against each other.

Of course, if the two villages were to go against each other, the rest of the hidden villages might take advantage of the distraction.

There was one thing that Yukio had gathered that was consistent with most of his sources; Amegakure might get enveloped in the battle between Konoha and Iwa.

Some time later...

"Finally! I did it!" Yukio yelled with excitement in his voice.

He was inside his personal dungeon, looking at his open palms. His eyes were gleaming as he watched his chakra and cursed energy flow throughout his body simultaneously. The two different energies were moving as one, yet they weren't mixing.

It took him a while, but Yukio finally did it. He contributed his success to his high intelligence stat which helped with his control over energies.

What he had chosen to do with the energies was to have one energy encase the other.

Basically, when he manipulates his cursed energy, he would have it be surrounded by his chakra. When he manipulates his chakra, he would have it be surrounded by his cursed energy.

There wasn't much of a difference between the two configurations except for one. The latter configuration allowed his chakra to become invisible to others as cursed energy cannot be perceived by non-sorcerers.

Now, it was time to create a technique that effectively and efficiently used chakra-cursed energy. He already had an idea in mind. Yukio wanted to form a clone out of chakra-cursed energy.

Yukio left the personal realm and returned to the hut. He wanted to take a break before he went back to researching a way to create a 'cursed clone.'

He glanced at several cursed seeds that he had planted the day before. He had been grinding cursed dungeons lately because of his curiosity over several of the items in the cursed shop.

His efforts were well paid off. Currently, he had 621 cursed coins.

Although it looked like a high number, more than half of the shop's items were worth more than 200 CC.

Many may frown upon his reckless shopping as they believed that all he did was delay the purchase of a cursed technique. Well, they're not wrong.

The primary reason why Yukio made the purchase wasn't solely because he wanted to know what they did. He theorized that completing a grade two cursed dungeon will give him more than enough cursed coins to compensate for his purchase.

Grade four dungeons rewarded him with a single cursed coin.

Grade three dungeons rewarded him with ten cursed coins.

Grade two dungeons will likely give him a hundred, and after that, grade one dungeons may give him a thousand.

He wanted to try entering a grade two cursed dungeon when he became more adept at using chakra-cursed energy.

So in the meantime, he bought those two cursed objects. He opened up his status page and looked at their respective descriptions.

When it is applied to an individual or object, a connection will form between you and the sticker, but only when it contains a trace of your cursed energy. The connection allows you to track the sticker wherever it is. The connection will last based on how many units are contained. One unit per one hundred days.

Grade: Four

Description: A cursed object in the form of a glass jar. When the lid is removed, the jar will begin to absorb the negative emotions in the surrounding area. The jar can only contain enough negativity to manifest a single gradeless cursed spirit.
