Naruto - A Cursed System

Chapter 45 - Imagination

Some time during Yukio's study week...

Yukio took a break from studying and was spending his time in the outdoors. He was sitting at the edge of the lake and was dipping his toes into the water. He was holding his diary and was making a drawing of the lake.

Speaking of drawing, Yukio was able to advance his [Basic Drawing] skill to [Intermediate Drawing].

=====

[Intermediate Drawing]

Description: Moderately boosts your proficiency at drawing. You can draw perfect shapes as long they have less than ten sides. There's a chance for you to infuse your feelings inside your drawings to allow others to feel the same.

To advance the skill, paint an excellent landscape of a place filled with your memories.

=====

Anyways...

There was only one reason why Yukio was relaxing instead of studying:

It totally wasn't because Yukio was procrastinating.

Yukio finished the drawing and got up and stretched, "Mmmmmahh!"

'I should go back to studying.'

Yukio snapped his fingers and the world around him disappeared and was replaced with pure whiteness.

Ok, maybe he was procrastinating.

Yukio was spending his time inside a dungeon he had form using his innate technique, Dungeon Formation. He had created the dungeon while it was raining very heavily outside. It was good to have a breath of fresh air once in a while.

Just as he was about to leave the dungeon, he changed his mind at the last moment.

His cursed energy flowed into the sides of the cube and his surroundings started to change. He now stood in the same forest he was last at in the Jujutsu Kaisen World.

Soon, the animals he had left behind appeared one after another. Upon seeing them, a bright smile broke out on his face. He was happy seeing them all again, even if he didn't know them as well as he did with hex.

'A shame... Thankfully I have Hex by my side. Hm... Should I try adopting a pet? Like a dog or cat? Ooh, maybe I can find a cursed spirit born from the negativity directed towards a dog or cat. That'd be nice. I think in this world... a cat cursed spirit would be easier to form.'

As he was deciding on what kinds of cursed spirits and creatures he should add to his collection, he recognized a few animals that he had tried to bring over to his world.

He always wondered what had happened to them, especially since he saw their status screens had frozen. Ever since Yukio left, the animals he didn't try to bring had their statuses disappear completely.

"Wha?!"

Yukio's wide eyes were looking at the [Tamed Animals] tab, specifically at the once frozen statuses. When he had imagined this forest, the statuses of the animals he tried to bring had been unfrozen and now reflected information about them to Yukio.

One of the 'frozen' critters came to him; a squirrel. He had befriended it by simply feeding it a bunch of acorns. The squirrel came and began to climb up Yukio. Eventually, it reached his shoulders and reached its hands out, suggesting its dėsɨrė for free food.

However, Yukio was too surprised to complete the request. Not like he had acorns on him.

"You can touch me... I can touch you..."

To recap:

Yukio's personal dungeon formed by Dungeon Formation allowed him to paint his surroundings with his imagination. This also included animals.

However, he learned that he is unable to touch any animal as they would dissipate into cursed energy upon contact.

But now he could.

Ignoring the squirrel, he went out to touch the other critters and noticed that only the ones he tried to bring to Naruto were touchable. Everything else disappeared.

Yukio's attempt at bringing creatures from JJK to Naruto through his cursed technique resulted in what seemed to like a glitch. It was where it had failed to bring them over, but at the same time, it succeeded.

Those same creatures became a part of the dungeon, only existing as an entity blurred between imagination and reality. Even if they are 'killed' it will only be temporary, they will be reconstructed with cursed energy, similar to the tailed beasts. As long as Yukio existed, those creatures were practically immortal.

They can never leave the dungeon(s), no matter what. They are forever trapped. Moreso, they are unable to grow old and are practically frozen unless Yukio imagines them.

Yukio spent half an hour with the creatures before leaving the dungeon and resuming his studies.
