When they got there, the Ame Orphans gave Dango a tour of their lovely abode. Dango quickly made himself at home.

Hex also made itself at home. It had remained wrapped around Jiraiya this entire time. Only when they arrived at the hut did Dango physically remove it. However, Nagato had noticed Dango's actions. Although he had questions, the Red Head kept it to himself.

Jiraiya quickly made dinner and they all happily ate together. Of course, Hex was unhappy that it wasn't getting fed. To appease it, Dango promised to feed it when they go outside.

During dinner, Dango expressed his dėsɨrė to become a ninja, just like his father, Jiraiya, and his older siblings.

Jiraiya had a gloomy expression when he heard Dango. The Ame Orphans also reacted similarly. Their reactions reminded Dango of his father when he asked a similar question.

Looking at him with pitiful eyes, Jiraiya blatantly told him that Dango couldn't become a ninja. It wasn't because he wasn't willing to teach him, not at all. It was just that... Dango didn't have a single sliver of chakra flowing inside him. It was a miracle for Dango to even be alive without it.

Dango was astonished by the statement. He knew he had chakra flowing throughout him, even if it was very lively than he expected. Quickly, Dango remembered the [Empty Vessel] skill.

He knew that skills may or may not have hidden effects that are not mentioned in their descriptions. What if [Empty Vessel] had a hidden effect that prevented anybody from sensing his chakra and possibly his cursed energy. No matter how much he had, nobody would be able to sense it.

It was a long shot. He was very open-minded when it came to those three skills he received at the start of the story. They must be special for the Darkness to give it to them? If they weren't, why not give him skills that had more specified names like 'Complete Natural Resistance Boost,' 'Quick Thinker,' etc.

Wanting to become a magical ninja, Dango didn't give up. He tried to convince them to teach him, but alas it didn't work. They didn't want to give him hope and have it completely shattered.

He could have revealed his ability to summon random animals as it showed that he was capable of using chakra. But, he didn't know how to explain where he got it. Of course, he could simply say that he was taught by the old lady or by his parents. Actually... it might work.

Sighing inwardly, Dango showed off his ability to summon a snake, which immediately tried to kill him. Nonetheless, Jiraiya and the Ame Orphans were shocked to the point where they couldn't help Dango fend off the snake. Only after a few minutes did they help.

Dango explained that it was a set of jutsus that his family had passed down from generation to generation. Jiraiya called it a hiden jutsu.

Hiden jutsus secret jutsus that are passed down from generation to generation in certain regions or clans.

Although he couldn't confirm it, Jiraiya decided to teach Dango ninjutsu despite his inability to sense the boy's chakra.

Furthermore, Dango asked him to train his body as well as teach him how to wield different types of weapons.

Jiraiya thought about it before agreeing. He would do his best to train his body. As for the weapons, Jiraiya didn't use anything larger than the typical shuriken or kunai. But he was competent enough to train Dango the basics for weapons like the sword or bow.

Dango's siblings also agreed to help with whatever they could. They reassured him that they would protect him.

As Dango was lying in a bed that they prepared for him, he remembered the rank-up missions that he dismissed quite a bit ago.

The first thing Dango noticed was that the rank-up mission for his sorcerer grade was separated into two parts. He wondered what it would be about since the shinobi rank mission wasn't like it and gave him his rank once completed.

'Weird. Anyways, I only need one more thing left for both missions. Well, at least one more for the sorcerer mission. For the shinobi mission, it should be completed the moment Jiraiya teaches me anything useful.'

'Hm... to reach the second part, I just need to exorcise a grade four cursed spirit. But I haven't seen one since I was born. It's probably my Dungeon Formation. Is this really my technique?'

'Mm... Tired. I sleep now.'

Dango was too tired to think about anything else.. He looked for Hex, who was also prepared to go to sleep and grabbed him like a stuffed animal, and fell asleep.
