Chapter 31 – The Identity of Her Husband is Exposed Part 2

The announcement contained a picture of Zu Jin and Yan Lin at a small park.

It was late autumn. Yan Lin was wearing a long black coat with a simple white shirt and black pants; and Zu Jin was wearing a black suit with pointy high heels.

The man smiled elegantly and stood behind Zu Jin while she had her hands in her pockets. Her expression was as cold and arrogant as ever. They looked like they were a good match together.

Less than half an hour later, the official statement quickly reached the top front page of popular online websites.

This matter was huge since Chloe Investments was the leading investing group around the world. It was now official that the boss was Chinese, and it had also clarified…

That Yan Lin was not a male pet being kept by a beautiful president. Rather, he was the husband of Mrs. Zu Jin, the president of Xishui!!!

When these two facts were put together, it was inconceivable.

Also, it was unacceptable that the boss of the great Chloe Investments was actually described by reporters as a male pet.

Zu Jin had a blank face on, but she was actually nervous to look at the comments. She thought there would be a lot of rumors and slander about her.

However, the comments were far beyond her imagination. They actually praised Yan Lin for being tall and handsome, instead of being one of those rich, powerful, but bald bosses with a beer belly as everyone had imagined.

Moreover, everyone knew that Yan Lin was trying to protect Zu Jin’s reputation because the statement was issued so suddenly.

There were also a lot of comments that praised him for being a man that loved his wife and so on.

Zu Jin didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. After a while, she couldn’t read another comment.

Her husband was very good, but she felt bashful from everyone’s kind praise.

Zu Jin was worried that Xishui’s building would be surrounded by reporters because of the statement. She made the workers come in later to work tomorrow morning. Then, she packed up and took the car home.

When she got home, Zu Xiaofei was already asleep.

The lamp in the master bedroom was lit, but there were no signs of Yan Lin.

Zu Jin took off her coat and wanted to go check the study. But as soon as she turned around, she bumped into Yan Lin while he was coming in.

Yan Lin smiled and hugged her. Then, he gently pushed her in.

After closing the bedroom door, he pinched her cheek and quietly asked, “Is everything all right?”

Zu Jin wasn’t the kind of person that would stick to their partner and act dumb, so she just looked up at him silently.

“Everything is fine… It’s past two o’clock. Why haven’t you slept yet?”

Yan Lin suffered from insomnia, but since they got married and as long as she came back from work early, they would lie down together and talk before he fell asleep during the early hours of the morning.

Sometimes Zu Jin would work overtime and couldn’t come back early. Yan Lin would wait until more than one o’clock in the morning for her.

But it was two o’clock right now, which was a bit late.

Yan Lin seemed a little unaccustomed to her gentleness, so he bent down slightly and looked at her.

They looked at each other so closely that they could kiss each other as long as they moved forward a little bit.

So after a moment of silence, Yan Lin smiled. He couldn’t help it and kissed her.

Afterwards, he whispered, “Don’t worry, I’m here.”

Zu Jin didn’t know what to say to him, so she could only say yes in her dazed state of mind. After that, she went to the bathroom to take a shower.

A lot had happened today. When Zu Jin came out of the shower, she had completely forgotten about the ‘reward’ she said she was going to give Yan Lin from the phone call in the afternoon.

Before the sun came up, Zu Jin’s cell phone on the bedside table rang.

She had only slept for a few hours. She turned over sleepily and covered her head with the blanket in irritation. She was trying to pretend she did not hear the ringing.

However, she did not sleep alone in the bedroom. Yan Lin sat up helplessly and grabbed her cell phone.

The caller ID was Tianqing.

He was not a stranger, so Yan Lin simply put him through.

“Fuck! Is it real or fake, Zu Jin? Is your husband really Chloe’s boss?”

Xu Tianqing was so excited that his words were incoherent. He had to ask his question five or six times before he finished.

Yan Lin pinched the bridge of his nose, and his voice was still a little rough because he had just woken up. “Tianqing, is there something wrong?”

Xu Tianqing became quiet at once.

But it was only for a few seconds.

He coughed. “Oh, it’s nothing. I was drinking with my friends last night and went to sleep early. I missed a lot of calls on my phone and when I got up to pee, I saw the news and it made my heart jump out!”

“Okay, if there’s anything else, then you can call me. When Xishui goes public, we can celebrate with a meal.”

Xu Tianqing forced a chuckle and said, “Okay, okay, I’ll talk to you later. Brother Yan, go back to sleep.”

Yan Lin was several years older than Xu Tianqing, but Xu Tianqing said his full name every time they met.

Xu Tianqing had made fun of Yan Lin numerous times for being a full-time house husband.

Now, he instantly changed the way he addressed Yan Lin to Brother Yan. Although he didn’t hear any changes in Yan Lin’s attitude during the phone call, Xu Tianqing was still a little scared.

After the phone call, Xu Tianqing suddenly slapped himself.

“Why did I let my mouth run off before!”

On the big bed was a female companion who was sleeping. She was awakened by the sharp noise. She sat up seductively, rubbing her eyes.

“Tianqing, why did you hit yourself?”

Xu Tianqing threw his cell phone onto the bed and hugged her, just like a spoiled child who had been wronged and returned home to bury his face onto his mother’s stomach.

“I’m so ashamed, so ashamed wuwuwu…”
