Chapter 27 – Flirting Part 2

Top floor of Chloe’s branch.

After Yan Lin finished his work, he took a car to Ms. Zu Hua’s place.

Zu Hua’s attitude towards Yan Lin was much better than before. This was probably because of the affection between a grandparent and a grandchild and since Zu Xiaofei was born, Yan Lin was mainly responsible for taking care of her. Sometimes when Zu Hua was in a good mood, he would be allowed to stay and be a player in several mahjong games.

There were times when Yan Lin was busy and he would send his child to Zu Hua.

However, he did not tell Zu Jin about this. Zu Jin did not like it when Zu Xiaofei stayed with Zu Hua. She was always worried that her daughter would learn Zu Hua’s sharp words and rude temper.

When Yan Lin arrived at Zu Hua’s house, Zu Xiaofei immediately threw her rabbit doll aside and rushed into his arms.

The father and daughter had not seen each other for a long time and they missed each other very much.

After a while, Yan Lin stood up with his daughter in his arms. He said to Zu Hua, “Mom, Feifei is always thinking about you. Please stay with us for a few days. When Feifei goes to kindergarten next month, you will have to wait for the weekend to see each other.”

Zu Hua looked hesitant at Zu Xiaofei. “It’s time to go to kindergarten, okay… How many days can I stay? Have you told Zu Jin yet?”

Yan Lin smiled and said, “Yes, she asked me to pick you up.”

On hearing this, the corners of Zu Hua’s lips immediately fell. It was clear that she did not believe this nonsense.

Zu Jin came home a little late tonight. As soon as she entered the door, she fell onto the sofa and stayed there.

Yan Lin was in the kitchen, preparing for tomorrow’s breakfast. He saw her how tired she looked and urged her to go upstairs to remove her makeup and take a shower.

Zu Jin dawdled for a while before going up to take a shower and coming down again.

“I’m hungry. I’ve been in meetings all afternoon, but I haven’t eaten anything yet.”

As Zu Jin said that, she fell onto him as if she had no bones. She just wanted to lean on him and she felt so comfortable when she did that.

But after a while, she suddenly stood up straight.

“Say, do you think Yan Yuelin is behind this? Just like in the dog-blooded TV series where the illegitimate son sets up a scheme to frame the eldest son so that he can inherit all the family property?”

“My father made a will a long time ago. Both him and his mother are in it.”

When Zu Jin heard this, she couldn’t stop herself from being sarcastic. “Your father is so fair. Ha! He’s divided everything into four. How funny!”

They were whispering in the kitchen for a while, and Yan Lin finally finished making the midnight meal.

After they took the bowl to the dining table, Zu Jin sweetly wrapped herself around his arm.

“Husband, I’m still scared. Can you feed me?”

“Were your hands cut off?”

“…”

In the next second, Yan Lin’s chest was pressed down against the table, while Zu Jin’s leg was on his waist and her hands held his arms to his back like an expert.

“I was wrong! I was wrong! My arms hurt! Let me go!” Yan Lin held back a laugh and lowered his voice to beg for mercy.

But the more he begged for mercy, the more Zu Jin refused to let him go.

They were used to flirting at home, especially when Zu Jin was in spirit for it. It was easy for them to start flirting, so the noise they made was generally very loud.

Zu Jin held his arm and stood on the moral high ground and lectured him, “You have really changed. You said you would take good care of me, but now your attitude is really bad…”

At the word “bad”, it suddenly became quiet.

Zu Jin put her leg down and she let go of Yan Lin’s arms.

The reason for this was because Zu Jin didn’t know when Ms. Zu Hua unexpectedly appeared in front of them.

There was a hint of shame on Zu Jin’s face, but in the next moment, her flushed face frowned.

Zu Jin sat down in embarrassment and glanced at Yan Lin, who was straightening out his clothes. Then, she dryly asked, “Mother, what are you doing here?”

This was really not very pleasant to hear and Zu Hua’s face began to show disappointment.

“Yan Lin picked me up. Do you think I would want to come over and see how crazy you just looked? What kind of woman treats her husband like this?”

Zu Jin: “…”

Yan Lin cleared his throat and looked a little embarrassed on his face, but he forced himself to be calm. “Er, mom, you’re still up. Are you hungry? There’s still some porridge in the pot. Do you want some?”

“I’m not hungry! Keep your voices down. It’s the middle of the night and you’re not letting people sleep!”

With that, Zu Hua went back upstairs with a frustrated expression.

Zu Jin couldn’t eat the food anymore so she pushed the bowl away and put on a cold face.

Yan Lin was the only one left at the dinner table. He scratched the back of his head, and he didn’t know what to do for a moment.
